Kenyan Hollywood Star Lands New Role in Famed American TV Series

Kenyan-American actor Edi Gathegi has joined the cast of the upcoming 5th season of FX’s Justified, in what is said to be a major recurring role. 

Gathegi will play a character named Jean Baptiste, described as a former member of the Haitian secret police, with a cold, merciless attitude, who runs the Crowe family gator farm.

The villain in charge of the Crowe family gator farm, he’s a former member of the Haitian secret police and has a coldly merciless attitude when it comes to disposing of both gators and humans. Gathegi has kept himself busy in TV land, appearing in 3 series this year – ABC’s Family Tools, Red Widow, as well as the drama Beauty and the Beast.

He was also the co-star in X-Men: First Class as well cast in The Twilight Saga.

Justified is an American television drama series developed by Graham Yost. It is based on Elmore Leonard’s novels Pronto and Riding the Rap and his short story “Fire in the Hole”
