President Uhuru used to be the ‘thing’ before his Tanzanian counterpart assumed office and stole all the glamour.

Before President John Pombe Magufuli was sworn in late last year, Uhuru was the talk of the region pulling stunts that even Western media couldn’t ignore.

Now Uhuru’s stunts have been pushed to the dark since Magufuli came to office and became the darling of the region, and even the world.

Austerity measures introduced by the Tanzanian President earned him worldwide attention with some saying he’s walking Jose Mujica’s path (Former Uruguayan president who was called the world’s poorest president for his humility and philanthropic works.)

Uhuru stunned the nation when he rocked military fatigue making headlines across the boundaries of Kenya. And who thought Magufuli wouldn’t do that?

The Tanzanian head of state is also making tongues wag after he put on military gear when he visited Arusha residents.
