Sports commissioner Gordon Oluoch lauded the efforts of the four teams representing Kenya in the semi-finals of the ongoing Guinness Football Challenge TV game show for a great performance. Terming it as a step in the right direction in nurturing sports talent in the country; he said the show gives young people a platform to expose their talent by generating interest among the youth.
“The show reminds us that football is more than having players on the pitch; it has brought out the intellectual side where contestants are tested on their knowledge of the beautiful game thus showing that it is made of different components; general knowledge and strategy being among them.”
