¨This is sorcery!¨ KISS 100´s Andrew Kibe declares following Wema Sepetu´s disturbing body frame
Women have since time immemorial been bashed about their body sizes, and pushed to conform to a certain type of body and lifestyle, that maintains a ´good´ figure.
Most recent, alarming case is Tanzanian actress, Wema Sepetu´s frail body frame that has left masses worried for her, because hers has become too much.
KISS 100´s co-hosts, Kamene and Kibe have taken up the issue, admitting that this has become a crisis that needs to be addressed before it eventually blows up in society.
Kamene shared:
When she [Wema Sepetu] was curvy, she was on fertility pills and she did not like how she looked after gaining the weight. So then, she started taking pills to lose weight and she has lost some weight that is very recognizable. My question is: is there pressure to lose weight? I mean, the extreme is serious.
Not so far from home, because men have been busy asking the curvy bootyful radio presenter to also check her weight – especially the waistline.
But all she does is gasp at society´s own doing.
I see the comments on my pictures of guys saying I should join the gym because big bam and big stomach should not be the case for a lady. Are we under pressure to look a certain way and what really is this pressure? Where is it from?
Asking Kibe why men give ladies so much pressure, Kibe confessed that every lady he has met, has been under the pressure to either gain or lose weight.
The funniest thing, every chic I meet wants to lose or add weight. You ladies think going to the gym will lose the waist only. What kind of sorcery is that? When they remove those cosset belts, their stomach falls pa, pa, pa.
A male caller came in to urge ladies and individuals in general, that only do what pleases your heart because you will have to live with yourself forever, in the state you are in.
One thing I want to say is that at the end of the day, it is all about you. Not the other guy. Like in the case of a man forcing his wife to do 100 squats to lose weight and look a certain way for him. If it doesn´t make you happy, do not do it and it it does then, by all means, lose the weight.
Making reference to her own experience, Kamene´s battle with weight loss, saw her eventually buy a tummy shaper, just to look a certain way.
My friend, I even had marks on my body just to make sure I look a certain way to please people.
The choice is yours.
