Zabron Singers’ Lead Vocalist Marco Joseph Laid to Rest

Zabron Singers’ lead vocalist, Marco Joseph, was laid to rest in an emotional ceremony on Sunday, August 25, in Kahama, Shinyanga, Tanzania. A video showing the heartbroken Zabron Singers performing at the funeral moved many to tears. Several family members fainted while paying their last respects to Marco.

Marco passed away on August 21, 2024, while receiving treatment for heart disease at Muhimbili Hospital in Dar es Salaam. He leaves behind a wife and three children.

As the lead singer of the renowned Tanzanian choir Zabron Singers, Marco was a key member of the group, which includes Japhet Zabron, Victoria Zabron, Jamila Dotto, Samuel Joseph, Semroza Godfrey, Grace Madata, and Joyce Zabron. The choir gained fame with their hit song “Mkono Wa Bwana.”
