Why Vera Sidika gets upset when she gets told she’s barren

Vera Sidika is one of the most famous socialite trollops in Kenya. She is known from East to West Africa and onto Dubai and Los Angeles where she has “partied” with some of the wealthiest and most famous people on the planet.

She then decided she needed to settle down and change the narrative surrounding her name. And when the time came, Vera Sidika decided to settle down with Otile Brown and they dated for a while only for them to break up in such a nasty manner, the blow-up fueled gossip rags for weeks.

Now, she has moved on with Brown Mauzo and the couple has even settle down completely and get married but one question still haunts Vera Sidika; is she barren?

And there is one obvious reason why this would bother her. At the height of her beef with Otile Brown, she was said to have been pregnant but she lost the baby. The RnB crooner accused her of opting to abort her baby but she refuted these claims and it seemed she had actually really been looking forward to carrying the child to term then raising her.

But now that Vera Sidika is with Brown Mauzo in a happy union, the question has resurfaced and she did not react well to it when a fan dared to voice it. One would wonder whether the previous experience is the only reason why she was pissed but I would argue there is more than meets the eyes.

You see, she is aware she is in the eyes of many an African, not a real woman nor wife if she has not been able to give her husband a child. And this fact is what alot of actually barren women are only too aware of as they have been beaten down by their in-laws for their perceived failures.

So when Vera Sidika is being accused of being barren, it hits at a fear she has already been struggling with but also the societal pressure that is rather unfair because if indeed she is unable to carry a baby to term, that is due to factors out of her control.

And her husband, Brown Mauzo is a Muslim man so what is to stop his family from insisting he needs to get another wife? I mean, he already was married before and he had children from that union but this humiliation would be all the more real for Vera Sidika.

And many of her detractors seem to believe this is either divine punishment for the abortion Otile Brown had alleged or perhaps due to her calling in life as a heaux but whatever the case may be, we are seeing the results.
