Vincent Mboya Arrested On Rape & Assault Charges
Kenyan YouTuber and content creator Vincent Mboya has been arrested on charges of rape and assault.
Mboya shared the news with his fans on social media, saying that he was headed to court. He denied the charges, saying that they were false.
“I was arrested and am heading to court,” he wrote. “I am accused of rape and assault, which is not true. Please pray for me.”
Mboya said that he would appeal to his fans for support if he was released on bail.
Mboya came to the limelight as an upcoming artist in 2021 after asking media personality Jalang’o for help to pay his rent. He later asked the presenter to contact him for a refund of Ksh18,000 after Jalang’o told him to stop using his name to chase clout.
Mboya then started creating content on his YouTube channel, which has over 207,000 subscribers.
The allegations against Mboya are serious and he is innocent until proven guilty. However, the arrest is a reminder that even celebrities are not immune to the law.
