Diamond Platnumz’s song “Mbagala,” released over a decade ago, remains one of his most popular tracks, boasting over 17 million views on YouTube. The music video featured a beautiful video vixen playing the role of a woman getting married and having a child. The love scenes depicted a romantic relationship, with the male lead portrayed by Diamond’s brother, Romy Jons. Diamond is shown to have feelings for her, appearing heartbroken on her wedding day.

Recently, the vixen opened up in an interview with Lokoma TV about the trouble the 2013 video caused in her personal life. She revealed that her decision to appear in the music video upset both her husband and father, who were against her being a video vixen.

“I had just gotten married and given birth, so I told him I would do it for him—as a vixen,” she explained. At the time, she was only 18 years old. “We shot the video, and it went viral. My husband didn’t give me permission, and my family was also unaware of it,” she continued. “They only found out after it was released, and my religion does not permit such roles.”

She described the severe backlash from her real husband: “It was a disaster. He beat me, and then my dad beat me. That’s how it went.”

Despite the video’s popularity, she has not been paid for her appearance. “He was my friend,” she said, shaking her head. “He didn’t pay me. We did it as friends. He just said, ‘Come, my child,’ so I went.”

Diamond Platnumz currently has 9.29 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
