Unknown woman discovered dead in Nairobi with her hands bound

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are intensifying efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman discovered with her hands bound at City Park in Nairobi.

The victim, identified as Ms. Rosemary Shikuku, has been positively identified by detectives, who are now pursuing crucial leads, including a police abstract issued at Kamukunji Police Station.

“We are still pursuing leads that will assist us in understanding what might have happened. However, her native home has been known,” stated a DCI detective who spoke confidentially to a reporter.

The discovery of Ms. Shikuku’s body was made by a man taking a walk around the Parklands area. Initially, he thought the 35-year-old was napping in public with her belongings nearby. However, upon closer inspection, he noticed her hands were tied, and there were injuries on her head.

The man promptly informed the police, who arrived at the crime scene. During their search, clothes were found in a bag near the body.

Investigations suggest that the woman was not murdered at the scene, as there were no signs of a struggle or disturbance. Currently, detectives are working to determine the exact location where the crime occurred before the body was brought to the park.

Forensic experts are conducting examinations to check for fingerprints on Ms. Shikuku’s body. Her remains have been taken to the City Mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination.
