TikToker Apologizes to Dancer Josh Wonder for False Paternity Claim

A TikTok user, Kaffie, has issued a public apology to dancer Josh Wonder after falsely claiming he was the father of her child in a viral TikTok video. Kaffie admitted she used Wonder’s image in a “deadbeat dad” challenge in an attempt to gain social media attention.

Kaffie participated in the “Useless things I gave my baby” trend, which involves showcasing a child’s photo alongside an image of the alleged absent father. She chose to use Josh Wonder’s picture, falsely accusing him of being her child’s father.

However, Wonder responded by demanding the video’s removal and threatening legal action. This prompted Kaffie to issue a public apology, admitting she fabricated the story in hopes of increasing her followers and likes.

In direct messages shared by Wonder, Kaffie pleaded for forgiveness, stating,

I did it with your pic because you are a celebrity, I thought I would get likes and my account grows but I did not know it would be this much. I’m on my knees please forgive me.

She claimed she had no malicious intent and was simply “chasing clout.”

The incident sparked strong reactions on social media, with many users urging Wonder to sue Kaffie for defamation. Some users pointed out the double standard, suggesting that if the roles were reversed, and a man had made similar false accusations against a woman, the public outcry would be much greater. Others cautioned against participating in such challenges without considering the potential consequences.

The incident occurred shortly after Josh Wonder publicly revealed a new romantic relationship, following his split from Ajib Gathoni amidst allegations of infidelity.
