Thicky Sandra Opens Up About the Challenges of Being Wealthy
Thicky Sandra, daughter of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, has spoken out about the challenges of coming from a wealthy background. In an interview with SPM Buzz, she said that people often assume that financial privilege means a trouble-free existence, but this is not always the case.
“Life is not easy, no matter who you are,” she said. “People just talk, they don’t know what I go through. I could be the president’s or king’s daughter and I will still be going through something. Money is not everything.”
Thicky Sandra acknowledged that her family’s wealth has afforded her certain luxuries, but she also said that it has come with its own set of challenges. For example, she has never had to take public transportation, which has made her feel isolated from the average person.
“I’ve never boarded a matatu,” she said. “I’ve never had to experience what it’s like to sit next to a stranger in a crowded bus. I think that’s something that everyone should experience at least once in their lives.”
Despite the challenges, Thicky Sandra is grateful for her family’s support. She credits them with helping her to achieve her dreams, including starting her own cosmetic line.
“They are the force driving my success,” she said. “They are the ones who pushed me to this level that I am to even start my cosmetic line.”
Thicky Sandra also has a close relationship with her father. She has said that he is her role model and that she aspires to be like him.
“In all the things I try to do, I want to do them just like you,” she said. “I’m watching every move you make, and I’m trying to take each step you take. Although I’m still your little girl, when I’m with you I feel ten feet tall, like you.”
Thicky Sandra’s story is a reminder that wealth does not guarantee happiness or success. It is important to remember that everyone faces challenges, regardless of their background.
