Content creator and media personality Milly Chebby has opened up about the decision to postpone her much-anticipated event, Convo Corner, which was initially slated for December.

The mother of one explained that the rescheduling was due to a mix of timing and logistical challenges. She emphasized that the decision was made to ensure the event’s success and uphold its vision.

“December has been incredibly packed with events this year,” Milly shared. “Every weekend is fully booked, from Sean Paul’s concert on the 1st to multiple events on the 7th, including Evelyn Wanjiru’s and TMI’s.”

The overcrowded calendar, she noted, made it difficult to secure adequate attention and attendance for Convo Corner.

Addressing concerns over the Ksh 5,000 ticket price, Milly clarified that nearly half of the tickets had already been sold, despite online chatter criticizing the pricing. “The speakers we had planned and the experience we envisioned were absolutely worth the price,” she said. “Anyone familiar with Convo Corner knows the value we were offering.”

Another significant reason for the postponement was the unavailability of a key speaker. Milly described this individual as a highly esteemed woman who played a pivotal role in shaping the event’s concept.

“She was unexpectedly booked for an international engagement,” Milly explained. “Although she suggested we proceed without her, I couldn’t imagine hosting the event without her presence. Her wisdom and insight are essential to the vision of Convo Corner.”

Reassuring fans and ticket holders, Milly promised that the rescheduled event, now planned for early next year, would deliver on its promise.

“I’ve witnessed the incredible value she brings, and I’m confident attendees will benefit greatly when the time comes. The wait will be worth it,” she said.
