The Previous Ones Were Just Practice – Akothee Reveals Plans for Third Wedding
Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, widely known as Akothee, made an appearance on the “Gidi na Ghost” morning show on Radio Jambo, where she discussed a range of topics, including her personal life, business ventures, and her role as Uganda’s tourism ambassador.
During the interview, the 43-year-old revealed her plans for an upcoming grand wedding with her current partner, Nelson Oyugi, also known as Nelly Oaks. She remarked, “The previous wedding (with Omosh) was small, just a practice run. The real wedding is coming soon, and it’s going to be much bigger.”

Despite experiencing challenges in her past relationships, Akothee expressed that she remains optimistic about love. “Why would I lose hope in love? I need to be loved. I’m going to have another wedding, and this one will be international. The man is well-known,” she shared.
While she refrained from disclosing too many specifics about the wedding, Akothee hinted that invitations would be exclusive, explaining, “There are many people with bad intentions… This time, we won’t announce the date. It will be invite-only, and the invitation will be based on your worth.”
Akothee and Nelly Oaks have publicly celebrated their relationship over recent months, following her separation from ex-husband Denis Schweizer, also known as Mister Omosh, earlier last year. Last year, Akothee hinted at rekindling her romance with Nelly Oaks during a live TikTok session, where she affectionately called him “babe” multiple times. Nelly, in turn, referred to Akothee as someone special, sharing romantic moments during the session.
