But Chef wa Eastlando has a secret passion – fashion design! Despite financial difficulties that forced him to leave school, his love for clothes has never faded. In a recent interview on The Sandwich Podcast, he revealed, “My dream is to become a fashion designer. I have a deep passion for it and dedicate a lot of time to honing my skills.” He even used to sell second-hand clothes (mitumba) and had a knack for spotting stylish pieces.

“I love creating content,” he says, “but I also want to have a normal life. I can’t walk around freely if everyone wants a selfie. There are times you just want your own space, whether it’s grabbing coffee at Java or anything else, but people recognize you and want your attention.”

He cites comedian Eric Omondi as a cautionary tale. “Look at Eric,” he says. “He can’t even leave his house without being recognized and bothered. That’s the kind of fame I want to avoid. I prefer my life as it was before.”
