Zuchu finally reacts to news of Diamond’s new girlfriend

Diamond Platinumz, a Tanzanian superstar musician, combined business and pleasure with Ghanaian artist Fantana on the Young, Famous, and African reality show, which debuted in mid-May 2023, and ultimately kissed her.

They allegedly engaged in more than just kissing on the reality show.

According to reports, Diamond and Zuchu, the artist he signed to Wasafi Records, were still dating at the time.

The Tanzanian singer started extensively flirting with Fantana when they were filming the program in South Africa. Fantana admitted that she also liked to flirt back with males. The two began discussing their respective fields of music during a studio session before Diamond diverted the conversation to sex and everything that can be done in the bedroom.

Diamond was seen kissing Fantana in another episode after their chats become passionate and sensual. At this time, Diamond had a girlfriend, and this was a widely known truth, according to Zari Hassan, Zari’s ex-lover and baby’s mother. Diamond ultimately decided to disavow the connection, saying Zuchu was merely his colleague.

Given that the two only officially announced their love a little over a year ago, in February 2022, his remark stunned many people around the world. They had started dating in December 2021 but kept it under wraps at the time. At the time, as pictures of him and Zuchu appeared online, there were rumors about their connection, but it was unclear if they were just seen together since he was her boss and she was his employee.

Diamond Platinumz’s brother, Romy Jones, decided to make fun of Zuchu online hours after the episode in which the two shared a kiss aired by asking her whether she had watched the new movie by ‘Dai’ (Diamond). Zuchu replied that she had seen the movie and had a message for him.

“Romy Jones, nimeangalia mwaya. Tell him I said f*ck you,” said Zuchu.

Singer Zuchu involved in an accident

Singer Zuchu who is said to be ‘secretly’ engaged to Diamond Platnumz is currently nursing wounds and some body aches following an accident she was recently involved in.

The singer shared the sad news through her social media pages; where she also paraded her bloody knee while getting some stitches – but unfortunately avoided mentioning the nature of her accident.

Through a post shared on Twitter, the Sukari hit maker captioned her post;

Nimepata ajali ndogo iliyo umiza goti langu jana siku moja kabla ya safari yangu kwenda kuperform Kwenye show Ya Muhimu kwangu nchini Nigeria. (I was involved in a minor accident that left me with a knee Injury yesterday night, ahead of my very important show in Nigeria). In yet another post, the singer went on to reveal that it breaks her heart to share her struggles on social media – since it has never been her place to seek sympathy.

However this time around she had no option but to speak up about her current situation – that may keep her from performing for her Nigerian fans.

She went onto mention that for now, she’s determined to push herself – hoping she’ll perform despite her managing urging her to put her health first.

However, word on social media is that Zuchu has the Nigerian entertainment industry in the palm of her hands; and so far – majority of her fans and followers are from Western Africa.

Rumor has had it that Diamond Platnumz and WCB signee Zuchu are seeing each other, but this is something we are yet to confirm. All we know is that the last time these announced a wedding – it turned out to be Diamond Platnumz event to launch album FOA.

So yea, we ain’t falling for that again. However there’s a new photo of the two artists kissing shared on Instagram by Diamond Platnumz step dad. With this, it’s getting harder to tell the nature of their relationship; but also we can’t forget to mention this photo was taken during the video shoot of Mtasubiri sana.

Not quite sure whether this is a sign confirming romance between the two Wasafi artistes; but all I know is that the body language looks just right…and not forced.

Tanzanian singer and songwriter Zuchu has made history yet again! The ‘Sukari’ hitmaker has once again surpassed her female competitors in the music industry as she has become the 1st female in East Africa to fetch 1million Subscribers on YouTube. It’s important to note that she also made history weeks ago when she released her song dubbed ‘Sukari’.

The song had a massive viewership. In less than 24 hours, it had 1 million views! Zuchu is has taken to social media to thank her fans for the support they’ve given her. On her Instagram, she wrote,

Zuchu has now overtaken Nandy, who was the leading female artiste with most subscribers in East Africa (723K).

We can’t wait for the next musical hit from Zuchu. She’s becoming a big deal and she totally deserves it.

American superstar’s mature response after Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu copied his style in their new track ‘Litawachoma’

Diamond Platnumz is on the spotlight again over copyright claims after copying a scene from American rapper Tobe Nwigwe music in his new Litawachoma jam featuring Zuchu.

Claims that come barely weeks after his Kenyan baby mama, Tanasha Donna, called him out with his signee Zuchu for copy-pasting lyrics off her Donatella EP album.

This time however, things took an interesting turn.

Soon after Diamond and Zuchu’s Litawachoma’s track went up on September 28, Tobe’s close friend, Kevon blasted the East African star and his signee for lack of originality. Warning them to pull down the scene before Tobe pounces on them.

Well, word reached Tobe Nwigwe soon enough and his mature response has only left fans from across the world in awe. Taking to his Instagram page, the International rapper asked Diamond and Zuchu to forget about his friend Kevon’s angry rant online and instead lauded them for promoting his work.

“Yo @kevon is an absolute fool!! To Diamond and Zuchu, the movement is moving all the way in Tanzania ✊????” his caption read.

Shocked from the sentiments, a dear Diamond Platnumz responded to the same, with fire emojis.

Wild reactions

A reaction by the American rapper that left fans in shock, asking why he did not bash Platnumz and his signee or even sue them for imitating his style, like every other superstar in the world would do.

His level of maturity and insurmountable love for the Wasafi crew’s actions, have seen many give a standing ovation to the American rapper, Tobe Nwigwe.

WCB signee, Zuchu has come out to respond to claims that she stole Tanasha Donna’s lyrics for her song Cheche that features Diamond Platnumz.

In an interview seen by Ghafla from a Tanzanian publication, Zuchu expressed utter surprise that there were even claims doing rounds about her copypasting Diamond’s Kenyan baby mama’s lyrics.

She revealed that the first time she heard about the reports, she was very busy at the time working on the song. Having already released Cheche’s audio and now shooting it’s video.

Zuchu comes clean

So the next day just after Cheche’s video had premiered, one journalist asked the Bongo singer why she had stolen Tanasha’s lyrics. But Zuchu could not understand what kind of question that is.

According to her, she was the one who had scripted every bit of that song, thought about it for days before writing the final script. So Zuchu listened to Tanasha’s track Ride that features Khaligraph but could not find any similarities. Until she realized it was the Spanish bit.

Zuchu explained that before even writing the song lyrics, she was given beats by her producer and asked to figure out what to sing to. And immediately she figured the line Yo te quiero would go well with the beats.

“Cheche is not something I copied from anyone. I wrote it all from scratch I swear! I don’t know Tanasha’s manager, I have never seen him. But I can only leave it all to God,” clarified Zuchu.

The Wasafi singer revealed she had gotten tired of hearing everyday someone coming out to claim rights to Cheche. And has now decided to leave it up to God.

Zuchu’s response comes barely a week after Tanasha and her manager, Jamal Gaddafi went online to call out her baby daddy and the signee for stealing lyrics off her Donatella EP album.

Diamond Platnumz video featuring Zuchu ‘Cheche’ was recently pulled down following a copyright strike by Tony Anthony. This however comes just a few days after Tanasha and management called out Diamond Platnumz for copying lyrics from hit song, Radio.

Not quite sure why the alleged Tony Anthony pulled this move on Simba; but pretty soon we might find out judging from how confident the Wasafi management sounds. Speaking about the video being pulled down; one Kim Kayndo went on to say;

Tanasha and management behind this?

Before Cheche was pulled down, the song had managed to attract 2.5 million views on YouTube; and was already trending in both Kenya and Tanzania.

This was however after Tanasha’s management started complaining about her lyrics getting copied by her baby daddy and ‘sister’ Zuchu.

Tanasha Donna and her manager have called out Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu’s new release Cheche that is allegedly a copyright of one of her tracks off her Donnatella EP album.

Barely hours after Cheche was released, Tanasha put up a cryptic post on her gram, singing along to her favorite Ride anthem that features Khaligraph Jones, but what many did not realize is she was actually hitting back at her baby daddy and his female signee Zuchu.

Donna’s lines that are a mix of a bit of Spanish, English and Kiswahili are similarly the same lines that Zuchu used on her intro and this did not sit well with the Kenyan girl and her managers. She captioned:

Zuchu is the new female artist signed under Wasafi records!

The lass is popularly known in Tanzania since she is the daughter of Khadija Kopa; a renowned Taarab singer who also worked with Diamond Platnumz on Nasema Nawe. A hit song created to bash Wema Sepetu back in 2015!

After handing in her version of Mbosso’s Nadekezwa; it seems that Diamond Platnumz got hooked to her voice and this is why Zuchu is part of WCB.

Surprisingly after Zuchu was unveiled as the new WCB singer; among those who happily welcomed Zuchu to the family is Mama Dangote who could not contain herself.

And just like her mama, Zuchu talent is one you cannot ignore especially since she got it from the best! This also means more money for Wasafi who lost Harmonize sometime last year due to unknown reasons!
