Publicity stunt?

“Let’s get one thing clear here, that was his project and this was a Wasafi management project that was on schedule. It wouldn’t have mattered even if I had done several collabos outside Wasafi that dropped prior to ‘Kwa Ngwaru’s’ release. At Wasafi, we go by the management’s schedule, irrespective of what’s happening, because that’s their main work, to manage our content,” said Harmonize.

The ‘Kwa Ngwaru’ hit maker also addressed claims he didn’t do much to promote the song Willy Paul featured him. Harmonize says Pozze was just being petty.

“I wondered how he would he have known that yet he is in Kenya and I am in Tanzania? How did he know if I am pushing the song or not? I think he was just being petty,” said Harmonize.

This was proven by his latest post where he is seen calling out Harmonize and his team to join in hands and support the new song. According to Willy Paul, he feels that Harmonize has been paying more attention to Kwangaru than Pilipili remix which is still lagging behind with 400k views.

Willy Paul cries foul and blames Harmonize for his woes

Willy Paul feels short-changed in his collaboration with Harmonize. The Kenyan gospel singer has expressed his dissatisfaction without directly pointing the accusing finger at Harmonize.

For starters, Willy Paul featured Harmonize in a song dubbed ‘Pilipili’ which was released on April 7th. Harmonize didn’t do much to promote the song like Willy Paul did.

7 days later after ‘Pilipili was dropped, Harmonized released ‘Kwangwaru’ featuring Diamond Platnumz and it became an instant hit. The video is currently trending first on YouTube.

Not enough support

Willy Paul is awestruck that Harmonize’s ‘Kwangwaru’ which was just released two days ago has already garnered 770k views on YouTube while his song ‘Pilipili’ is stuck at 462k views two weeks later.

He claims Harmonize didn’t wholeheartedly support ‘Pilipili’ like he is supporting ‘Kwangwaru’. Pozze even says that the Tanzanian singer is using and dumping people.

“This is so sad! Honestly speaking, let’s not be people who are just after using others. Let’s learn to support. And if we agree to support then let’s do it whole heartedly… it’s a small world we are living in you might be at the top today but remember. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.. learn to live with people! #tafakari,” wrote a distraught Willy Paul.

“Msafi for real you are the best” Willy Paul blows Lillian Muli away

The debate who between Bahati and Willy Paul is the best has been raging for years. For Lillian Muli her choice is Willy Paul and she has no doubts about it.

Kenyan artists love to proclaim themselves as the best in certain genre of entertainment. Street cred is still the most reliable means to determine how good a musician really is.

Willy Paul is among a few artists who most people think is really a good performer. Lillian Muli is among folks impressed by Willy Paul’s zeal on stage.

Msafi you get my vote

Lillian Muli is totally impressed by what the gospel singer does on stage. The Citizen TV anchor declared that Willy Paul is the best performer on stage in Kenya.

Bahati slams Willy Paul in his first TV interview in 2018

Bahati took a swipe at Willy Paul during an interview on K24. The gospel singer however made it clear that he will no longer be embroiled in another immature beef.

Bahati and Willy Paul have been frenemies for years. The two are always competing with each other when releasing new songs.

The yearning to be recognized as the ultimate male gospel singer in Kenya is what has torn Bahati and Willy Paul apart. The two have dominated gospel scene for years with their hit songs.

Subliminal shot

Bahati first TV interview in 2018 couldn’t end without him throwing a subliminal shot at Willy Paul. The ‘Ndogo Ndogo’ hit maker was interviewed by Kalekye Mumo on Talk Central on Thursday January 11th.

Willy Paul must be having the baby fever. I mean the likes of Bahati already have families but Willy Paul is still searching for the perfect woman to settle down with.

In the past years, Willy Paul made headlines thanks to his gorgeous girlfriends but as the story goes, things never worked out for him.

Sad: After struggling to give his dad a decent burial, Willy Paul visits his father’s grave 7 years later

Before the money and fame Willy Paul was another struggling young man living in Mathare slums. He had nothing and at some point had to struggle hustling for money to buy his late father a coffin to bury him.

This however happened 7 years ago when the singer and his family were left stranded after their father passed on. Speaking about his past the singer revealed that despite his dad being a carpenter they could not afford a simple coffin to put his body. He said;

His recent visit to the grave yard

This weekend (Saturday) the singer visited his late dad’s grave where he spent some time talking to his ‘father’ though he is gone. Through his social media pages the Jigi Jigi hit maker went on to express how much he wishes his dad was alive to enjoy his success now that he has made it in life. He wrote:

“7 yrs down the line and i still cant get you out of my mind dad… today i went to visit my dad’s grave after 7yrs… i wish he was alive to see what the Lord has done in my life.. i wish he was alive to enjoy my success with me… it pains and breaks my heart equally whenever i think of my late Father.. PAUL RADIDO.. papa.. you will always have a place in my heart.”

Inside Willy Paul’s luxurious living room

Call him a secular or gospel artist – but I hear Willy Paul barely cares about it since he is now making good money and big moves like collaborating with one of Wasafi Record’s big artists, Harmonize.

However, Willy Paul tries to maintain a low profile as many know that his career has been doing well thanks to the good music he releases despite choosing to work with secular artists unlike before where he would drop inspiring songs featuring the likes of Gloria Muliro and others.

Gospel or secular? Willy Paul and Wasafi record’s Harmonize hit the studio for a new project

When it comes to Willy Paul and singer Bahati you can never be too sure of where they stand in terms of gospel or secular music.

Before the fame and money we can agree that the two use to release inspiring music that many Christians loved but with time – the two seemed to have switched their careers to a money making business and this is why they both missed out on the Groove Awards earlier this year.

So will their song be categorized as a gospel or a secular song? Well, who knows? But truth be told is that the ‘gospel’ industry is now a money making business that many are hiding in.

Willy Paul: There was no money to buy my dad a decent coffin, we bought one that even had holes

Willy Paul was forced to narrate his story in a bid to stop critics from trolling him every time he posts anything on his social media accounts.

The controversial gospel singer is always at the foremost of online trolls, Willy Paul has suffered more from cyber bulling than any other celeb, arguably.

The ‘Jigi Jigi’ hit maker has since decided to plead with his critics to stop their hate against him. Willy says the trolls are eating him up.

“My story is really a story!! I don’t talk about my past because I’m not a sympathy seeker!! I get so hurt when people say hurtful things to me without thinking of the impact After!! I am a very strong young man,” said Willy in part.

The singer also opened up about his life in extreme poverty, he narrated how their family was in deep anguish because they couldn’t afford to accord his father a decent sendoff when he died.

Checkout Willy Paul’s shoes worth Ksh.14,000

Willy Paul is not only a gospel singer but a fashion trend setter judging from how he dresses. Unlike most celebrities I like to believe that he prefers shopping at thrift shops (mtumba) giving him a unique look unlike the likes of Bahati and many others.

Though his outfits may cost about ksh 2000 and above, I have every reason to believe that sometimes he gets out of his comfort zone to purchase classy things like the shoes I recently saw on his gram.

Well, the singer stepped out wearing Jordan trunner that are estimated to cost around  11k to 14k putting him on the list of local celebrities who are known to ball when it comes to their shoes.

Though one cannot be too sure as to whether he bought the shoes from local stores in the country or when he was away in the United States – all we know is that his sense of style is at the top.
