Alkaida! Willy Paul finally explains why he works more with secular artists than gospel

Every year, gospel singer Willy Paul releases more un-gospel-like music despite being a born again singer. Kenyans have always hated him for this, rebuking him online every time he has new music out.

During the weekend, the singer appeared on KTN’s music show Str8 UP where he finally opened up to why he’s always looking to work with secular guys.

In his defense, people should work with anyone willing to spread the word of God despite their background.

“God is love, and I work with my brothers and sisters because we are spreading the word of God, which is love,” Willy Paul said. 

Hypocrisy

Willy Paul’s comments come at a time Kenyans have shown frustrations over the current gospel industry state which has been accused of hypocrisy.

Willy Paul’s brother, Cornel Opondo is allegedly languishing in poverty despite the singer making money.

Willy Paul has been on social media lately bragging about his money and even bought a brand new Mercedes Benz recently but according to Heads Up, his brother in living in poverty in Mathare.

Cornel was recently spotted sleeping on a truck parked along Desal Road because he couldn’t pay his Ksh 1500 rent.

“I could not pay the Sh1,500 rent for my house in Mathare North, so the landlord kicked me out,” he told Nairobian.

His brother claims that he tried reaching the gospel singer but Willy Paul keep dodging him.

Cornel is quoted as saying:

“I have called Willy on several occasions, but he has been busy. Whenever I call him, he claims he is in a meeting and will get back, but never does. I called my mother asking for money to go to the hospital, but she asked me to borrow the cash from Willy Paul since she is broke,” he revealed.

Willy Paul has come out to vehemently deny that he’s currently in hospital after over using sexual enhancers.

On Instagram, the singer, who has been hit by one controversy after another, shot a clip do denying that he’s currently in MP Sha Hospital getting doctors’ help having taken too many Viagra pills.

“Honestly hata kama kuna hate, haifai kufika hiyo point,” Willy Paul says in the clip shot in a car. 

“Shame on you na nisikupate. I think hii mazoeano imefika mbali sana. Watu wananitext wananiambia ‘Hey bro, are you OK. Tunaskia umeadmitiwa’. You’ll see fire.”

Collapsed

In 2016, the singer had to be rushed to hospital after he developed breathing complications.

“I collapsed at home; and when I regained consciousness I found myself admitted to hospital. I gather it is my neighbours and friends who rushed me to Mater,” said the singer. 

It’s not yet clear who started the rumour though Willy Paul has promised to find him/her.

Hope Kid explains why he had to blast gospel singer Willy Paul for making ungodly songs

Singer Willy Paul has been in the news for quite sometime now because of the nature of his music. Kenyans believe the singer is not anything close to a gospel artist and have been pushing him to declare his stand.

Recently, fellow gospel singer Hope Kid topped headlines too for blasting Willy Pozze, asking him to return to his old ways and make beautiful church music instead of the dance hall music he has been focused on lately.

Not personal

Hope Kid has yet again come out to clear his earlier statement saying that he doesn’t have a problem with Willy Paul but was just asking him to return to his old days.

“Pozze is my boy pia yeye najua akiwekwa kwa spotlight kunihusu he will definitely throw shade. Pozze ni msanii and you can’t change him. He leaves in a world where he does the kind of music that he goes through. Nilisema namiss yule willy paul wa sitolia. Yule wa hizi nyimbo alikua naimba na gloria, huyo ndo pozze namiss,” he said in an interview with Mpasho. 

He added that Willy Paul is obligated to feed his crowd a positive message that they’ll impact their lives and not just the type of music he has been making.

“Na the same thing huyo ndo willy Paul church mob zinamiss, they miss his music of that time. Nilisema aanze kuimba hizo wimbo zenye church zilimjua nazo because i have no issue with the kind of music he is singing at the end of the day he has a crowd that his songs minister to.” he said. 

 

Hii ni Upizi Gani sasa? Fans bash Willy Paul after releasing new song that sounds EXACTLY like Digiri

Fans cannot understand how Willy Paul traveled all the way to Jamaica to record a repeat.

The singer went to Jamaica several weeks ago to record and shoot several songs with Jamaican artists and now, one is out: Sikireti which features Ce’Cile

Fans however, have shown disgust over the song saying it sounded like a remake of his previous tune “Digiri”. And it’s true the song sounds the same.

Most of the lyrics have just been copy pasted from his song. Fans complained saying that he has wasted time and money on the song and if anything, should have just called it Digir Remix.

Watch: Willy Paul finally releases new video ‘Murderer’

Willy Paul once again left many confused while hyping his new song “Murder” which is already trending on YouTube at number five.

Many were mislead to believe that the controversial singer has a hidden family after he shared the photos on social media with a lady and a kid.

Short film

The new song has been produced by Bizzi B while the video has been done by TrueD. The song is a short film in which he acts a young husband and dad while a sponsor tries to seduce his lady.

Willy Paul cooking up something new with Khaligraph Jones?

It’s still not clear as to whether Willy Paul is a secular or gospel musician.

Most of his fans claim that his actions are that of a secular entertainer. And judging from the number of scandals he has been caught up in; there is some level of truth in what the fans say.

After working with hitting the studios to work with Harmonize it also became evident that Pozee was more interested with the worldly music.

Willy Paul spotted with Khaligraph

Being a talented artist it wouldn’t hurt to see work with Khaligraph. The two were spotted together in a photo shared by Pozee on his Instagram page. This left fans questioning whether they were working on a new project but if so, this might just be the highlight of 2018.
