The song dubber Find X, which references a common mathematical equation, simply talks about looking for that one thing that makes you tick, whether it’s a girlfriend, boyfriend, money and whatnot.

Dufla Diligon

To be honest, the first time I heard this track I was not too sure how I felt about it but with time I came to love it and now I can no get enough of it. It’s so infectious ladies and gentlemen.

I don’t know about you but I feel that this is Arrow Bwoy’s best work yet. It’s different from his previous releases. You see, the artist has always been called out for always making love songs but Find X is a new sound.

Arrow Bwoy did a good job on this jam. His verse is sick. To add to that, he is a great singer and you just want to keep listening to him as he does his thing.

Dufla Diligon didn’t disappoint either. His lyrics on this jam are dope. Of course the line that many people will never forget is “hata kwa circle (circular), triangle (triangular), unapigwa na bibi Wetangula.”

These two artists really complement one another and in my opinion they should release more songs together. I mean why not?

The beat and instrumentation are on point and we have the one and only Vicky Pon Dis to thank for that. Other than the fact that they make the song danceable, they also blend with the artists’ flow and tempo.

I absolutely love the video concept for Find X. You guy, this song was shot in a laboratory with the artists doing some experiments. Who would have thought? Big up to Nezzoh Montana.

Sudi Boy pours out his heart in new single ‘Kolola’ and we love it (Video)

Mombasa-based singer Sudi Mohammed, better known as Sudi Boy, has released a new jam and we can’t get enough of it.

The song dubbed Kolola was inspired by a classic tune from the 1980s titled Embe Dodo by Them Mushrooms. If you have heard it before then there’s no doubt in my mind that you have good taste in music.

Anyway, Sudi Boy’s rendition, which I must say was beautifully done, is a love ballad of sorts. It about two lovers who are patch things up after falling out so basically, the guys asking the lady for forgiveness.

In the track, he says he went through a lot of trouble before he found her and that she helped him realize his dreams and changed him. As such, he is not ready to give up what they have, isn’t love a beautiful thing?

This jam is so infectious. If you are going to do a rendition of a classic tune you better nail it like Sudi Boy did or just find something simpler to sing.

I’ve had this song on replay since it was released a few days ago and every time I play it, it’s like I’m hearing it for the very first time because it sounds so pleasant to the ears. Trust me, I’m not exaggerating.

Sudi Boy

Sudi Boy’s melodious voice is perhaps the reason I keep listening to this jam. To add to that, the instrumentation and beat by Maro and Vicky Pon Dis are subtle but catchy.

The director also did an excellent job since the video paints a visual picture of what the song is about so much so that you can watch it on mute and still understand it.

The jam titled Ni Tekenya has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few days ago and by the look of things it is going to be one of the biggest songs in 2020. Do you want to bet?

When I first heard that Sailors Gang and Nadia Mukami were in studio, I was really pessimistic. Actually, I was a bit worried because I thought it would be risqué.

I was mostly scared for Nadia because unlike Sailors Gang, she has gained a legion of followers because of her ‘clean’ songs, the kind that you can listen to even when an elderly person is around.

When Ni Tekenye finally came out on Tuesday, I was really impressed. I love the fact that it’s not only ‘clean’ but also a love ballad of sorts. Who thought we would ever see this day?

This jam is so infectious. Once you start listening to it, you’ll keep hitting the replay button until kingdom come. All I am saying that it’s really catchy.

Sailors Gang

Sailors Gang members i.e. Miracle Baby, Shalkido, Lexxy Yung, Qoqosjuma and Masilver did a good job. They might have just proven that Gengetone is here to stay.

Other than the gibberish that Miracle Baby says in the hook, I loved Masilver’s verse in this track followed closely by that of Shalkido. But hey, who is ranking them? Not me.

As expected, Nadia Mukami really came through on this jam. She spiced it up with her beautiful voice and sexy dance moves because let’s be honest, who does not want to see the Si Rahisi hitmaker dancing by the beach?

The beat – which was produced by the legendary Vicky Pon Dis, is also on point. It puts you in a party mood from the moment you hit the play button.

The video is so dope. Apart from the beautiful shots, I was also impressed by the styling, flawless scene transitioning and of course the sexy video vixens. Props to Kevin Provoke.

The song titled Nare, which is a Sheng word that means ‘fire’, talks about accepting Christ and living according to his teachings.

The message in this jam is that every person will account for his or her deeds on the final day. As such, we should live righteously.

I really love this jam. Apart from the powerful message that it carries, you will agree with me that it’s very catchy and chances are you will not resist the urge to bust moves as you listen to it.

The lyricism is also dope, it sort of leans towards Gengetone and at some point you’ll hear things like peleka na rieng’ and kuspin na mayeng but that does not stop it from being a gospel song or does it?

The beat, which was produced by Vicky Pon Dis is also on point. Chances are you will have this song on repeat for the rest of the year after listening to it for the first time. Anyway, what am I even saying, we only have 3 days left.

As you would expect, the video is really energetic and it keeps you glued to your screen from the moment you hit the play button and it’s not for any other reason but because the dance moves are too lit.

Watch Nare below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Arrow Bwoy didn’t come to play! Check out his new club banger dubbed ‘Ngeta’ (Video)

Kenyan singer Ali Yusuf, popularly known as Arrow Bwoy, has dropped a new single ahead of the release of his much-anticipated album in August.

Arrow Bwoy
Arrow Bwoy

Dubbed Ngeta, the new jam is a fusion of dancehall and Swahili RnB. The result is a blazing club banger that will make you hit the replay button at least a couple of times.

To be honest, I didn’t really feel the song when I first heard it but after listening to it a couple of times, I realized that it was a masterpiece and probably Arrow Bwoy’s best work yet.

Ngeta is a Sheng word that means ‘to be mugged’. In the song, the Digi Digi hit maker says you should press it (you know what) as if you are mugging him. Does it sound ridiculous? I thought so too.

As is the norm, Arrow Bwoy threw in some Luganda words and they really spiced up the song. You’ll also hear the word chinkororo, which means Kisii warriors, a lot so much so that you’ll be tempted to think it’s the title of the song.

Ngeta was produced by Victor Muisyo Mutungi, or Vicky Pon Dis if you like and he really came through on this track. The beat is very decent and it will get you in a good mood from the moment you hit the play button.

Apart from the beautiful video vixens, another thing that caught my attention was the use of colour and how it was well co-ordinated i.e. through their outfits and the umbrellas that were used as props.

But this doesn’t really come as a surprise since the video was directed by the one and only Deska Torres of Platnumz Pictures. Put simply, he did an incredible job.
