Fans are ecstatic about Betty Kyallo’s four-year hiatus on television

After a four-year hiatus since departing from K24, media personality Betty Kyallo has made a triumphant return to television, now joining Cape Media Limited as a news anchor for TV 47.

“Almost four years later, I’m back. TV47 is my home now. I can’t wait to see you, my dear viewers. This is my favorite stage! Yaaaay! See you soon…,” she excitedly announced the news on Facebook.

Betty Kyallo began her media journey at KTN as an intern, eventually rising to become a prime-time news anchor, notably presenting the Friday Briefing at 9 pm. She later transitioned to K24, where she hosted the weekend program ‘Up Close with Betty.’

Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic in May 2020, she left K24 and ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing her salon and spa, Flair by Betty, in Kilimani. In mid-2021, she expanded her beauty business with the opening of Aftershave by Flair Barbershop and Bk Closet.

On June 17, 2022, Showmax debuted ‘Kyallo Kulture,’ a reality series focusing on Betty’s lifestyle and that of her younger sisters, Mercy and Gloria. By April 2023, she further expanded her business ventures by launching a new branch of After Shave by Flair in Meru.

Betty Kyallo described herself as a king’s daughter, reflecting her resilience and determination in her endeavors.

In April, Betty revealed the challenges she faced with rent for her business, leading to her Flair by Betty salon being auctioned off due to rent arrears. She highlighted the difficulty of running a business in Kenya amidst landlords’ reluctance to reduce rent, especially during economic downturns.
