Speaking in an interview,  Chebet said the incident happened at a popular club where she was dancing and suddenly her wig fell off.

“Recently, I was dancing in a club and my wig fell off. I was at Kiza and I can’t remember which song was playing. I just thought ‘oh my God, my wig is on the floor’.” she said.

Saved

Without sharing in-depth details of when it all happened, Chebet said that she was saved by a friend who quickly put the wig back and covered her bad hairstyle.

“I had blonde hair and I hadn’t combed it. I think I had matuta, it was just horrible” she said before adding,

“She was so fast it (the wig) was back on my head in a matter of seconds. I kept thinking someone is going to post a photo online, it was really embarrassing.”

Chebet gathered her family and friends at Laikipia, Mukima house, where it’s being said she spent almost a million shillings on her birthday.

Missing

The birthday looked as fancy as most of Chebet’s celebration but, also looked incomplete without some of her close friends. We all know Chebet had a clique of about 7 ladies that include Jacque Maribe, Monica Kiragu, Shix Kapienga and some other Citizen TV employees.

None of them was present for the birthday leaving many questioning where they were. In fact, since Monica Kimani’s death, the clique hasn’t been seen some much together.  Last year, her clique surprised her with an all-white yacht party in the coast.

Many believe her close friends that include Hot 96’s Shix Kapienga, TV director Monica Kiragu, Fanaka Television CEO Terryanne Chebet and former presenter Kirigo Ngarua have ditched her as a seat got hotter.

Support

None of her friends has really given a direct public consolation to Maribe as most of them have chosen to post encrypted messages on social media that have been seen as a message for encouragement for Maribe.

Chebet was recently forced to  respond to fans who demanded that she needs to do more to help her friend. According to one, the CEO and other friends are not doing enough on social media to help her friend.
