“I’m clinically blind in one eye” Mdee surprisingly reveals during East Africa Got Talent

Singer Vanessa Mdee recently surprised her fans after revealing that she’s clinically blind.

During East Africa Got Talent Show, Mdee told a contestant that she’s been blind but that didn’t stop her from pushing for her goals and becoming a renowned singer.

Motivation

The contestant, Mark, 21, who was born with an eye condition called cataracts and is also a cancer survivor. He impressed the judges with his performance leaving them very emotional.

“It is unusual for someone so young to sing so soulfully, you can tell that you have been through stuff. I’m clinically blind in one eye as well, but that has not stopped me from pursuing my biggest dreams,” she said.

Adding:

“Let that be the fuel for you no matter what happens at the end of this competition, to me you are a winner and you’re going to continue winning.”

Clinically Blindness is being impaired or having a complete loss of vision and corrective eyewear such as eyeglasses or contact lenses cannot reverse the effect.

Vanessa Mdee has been on the trending lists for the better part of last week following her sister’s out bursts that her relationship with longtime boyfriend Juma Jux has gone to the dogs.

Mdee has now taken to social media to confess that she has been hiding a lot, and that recent weeks haven’t been easy on her after the break up.

Revealed

At first, Mdee avoided talking about the break up but mounting pressure has left her with no option especially after her sister’s revelation.

Her sister Mimi Mars shared in an interview that the two are no longer together and can’t be married.

Here is what Mdee has said on social media:

“Every day I tell you about how strong I am. Today I’ll tell you about how defeated I feel. I’ve cried for hours, I’ve had nothing to eat (and I love food and there’s plenty available in my house). I’ve cancelled every meeting. I’ve sat in darkness curtains shut… I still feel alone and like shit. This is not a cry for attention, this is for you to understand WE ALL GO THROUGH IT. No shame.

“You’re allowed to feel everything and be affected by it too… give yourself an allowance. Tomorrow I am going to be back on my bullshit and this will just be a low. Life is filled with highs and lows, sorry If I ever made you feel like I didn’t have these moments and that pressured you into believing that your life wasn’t ‘perfect’. You’re extraordinary. Discomfort is needed for growth. You are loved. Remember that. Happy weekend honey,” she wrote.

Tanzanian songbird Vanessa Mdee has finally reacted to her sister’s, Mimi Mars, statement which she confirmed her break-up with longtime boyfriend Juma Jux.

Speaking to Global Publishers, Mdee shot down the rumors that the two have been having issues.

“Hivi kwa nini watu wanapenda kufuatilia maisha ya watu jamani, halafu kitu ambacho huwa sipendi kabisa kukizungumza ni kuhusu hayo mambo, hebu tuzungumzie ishu za kazi basi, kwa sababu mimi na Jux hatuna tatizo lolote,” said Vanessa.

Rumors

The statement comes just weeks after Mimi Mars said that the two are no longer together and can’t marry.

“Mimi ninavyojua hawako pamoja, kulikuwa na issues hapo katikati, sasa ivi ni washikaji tu. Kila nilipomuona Jux, Vanessa alikuwepo,” said Mimi Mars.

In 2017, the love birds went separate ways after a nasty break-up but later on rekindled their love, in January 2018.

It has been 7 years since Tero Mdee walked out on her TV and Radio shows in Kenya. The lady apparently left with no goodbyes and not even her boss John Rabar knew why she was walking out on her successful career.

She was later heard to have married a pastor who changed her lifestyle in every where possible. She was no longer the stylish lady we saw host Str8t up and she no longer went by the name of Tero Mdee but Nancy Hebron.

Speaking to HBR’s ignition show, Nancy opened up about why she left saying that she was responding to a higher calling she wouldn’t ignore.

 “I have been home in Tanzania. I went back home because I wanted to do something I was called to do for a while. God called me. It wasn’t easy, for 8 years this was the life (media life) I knew. It reached a point where I wasn’t happy. I would smile but I wasn’t really happy I wasn’t satisfied I was in a place of confusion and I had to make a choice.”

Shuts down her Facebook and Twitter

She went on to add that she had to deactivate her Facebook and Twitter pages now that she was a changed person.

“I knew I had to go, I knew I had to say goodbye. After my last show, I shut down Facebook and I shut down Twitter”

Nancy Hebron went on to add that she never joined a cult as many were claiming. She willingly left the secular world on her own will and that she was never brainwashed!

“I didn’t join a cult, I wasn’t brainwashed. I accepted Christ and I started serving him and I love it. I wouldn’t change anything, it was the best decision ever.”

We all remember the sexy St8t-up presenter Tero Mdee who ruled the airwaves a few years ago before she changed her life moments after getting married to a pastor who is believed to have influenced her ways only she can understand.

Well, the lady who had a killer figure and was also known for her good taste in fashion kissed the entertainment industry goodbye as she chose to carter for her new family back in Tanzania.

Terro however allegedly denounced her family name as she now goes by the name of Nancy Hebron and from what we hear is that she is neither in contact with her mother nor her siblings.

But just recently she released her first gospel song dubbed Taa ya miguu yangu which is basically a praise and worship song done in Swahili. This comes a few months after her youngest sister Mimi mars also decided her sister (Vanessa Mdee) in the Tanzanian music industry and judging from how they are doing – there is no doubt that these ladies will soon be the hottest female artists in Africa.
