Former Tahidi high principal Ms Morgan opens up about daughter’s deadbeat dad

Actress Angel Waruinge popularly known as Ms Morgan says she has lived it all. From enjoying money and fame to hitting rock bottom; believe me we now understand why her story continues to inspire many fans out here.

Just a few months ago, Ms Morgan opened up about her struggle with alcoholism; and at some point – she broke down while revealing about unknown daughter.

Yes, Ms Morgan has a daughter who she prefers keeping on the low as to protect her from the online life. However, what many don’t know is that she had been raining this young girl all on her own; after baby daddy chose to walk out. Speaking about this during a recent radio interview, Ms Morgan said;

I am a single mother na sina bwana physical. Itakuwa aje nikiwa so selfish niache huyu mtoto peke yake? That is not the kind of family set-up I was brought up in,”

She went on to add;

Achana na baby daddy. Sitamwongelea vibaya but he is not there and he is not in the picture. I avoid talking ill about him since his blood runs in the blood of my daughter,

Legal battle

Just like most mums with deadbeats, Ms Morgan says she tried getting legal help for child support; but as usual – the system remains messed up if not corrupt.

According to Ms Morgan, she tried getting help but all this was in vain; she went on to say;

I tried to follow the law but it got to a point where I gave up and said I was not going to force him to be in his daughter’s life. I went to court and he asked for DNA. Can you imagine? Ikakuja 99.9 per cent of him. It’s okay but acha imkule.

Although daughter Immani does not have a father in her life, Ms Morgan was confident that her brother and father will step in to fill in the gap.

I have a brother, a dad and so a man figure doesn’t have to be a dad. Those are enough people who can stand with my daughter and I can struggle with my daughter. Ntamfikisha mahali atafika. She is the biggest inspiration after my mum.

A former Tahidi High actress has come out to share how her late
her late dad was abusive throughout her childhood.

Speaking in an interview with Grace Mslame on NTV,
Makena Njeri left Kenyans almost in tears after opening up how she was mistreated by her dad who also infected her mother with HIV.

“My dad used to cheat on my mother and it was no longer a secret. I used to bump into him in town while he was in the company of other women,” she said.

Break down

Before finding out her mum was ill, she watched her suffer a serious nervous breakdown. Years later, it all made sense when the BBC journalist discovered her mother was actually HIV positive.

“My mum was constantly taking medication and she told me it helped with her nerves. As I was cleaning her room, I found the medicine and took the leaflet so I could read it and find out what it was doing to my mum. At that moment my whole life came to a standstill,” she said.

Makena, who lost her mum in 2013, said she never was not aware about her status till she passed on.

Omosh shares how much he was being paid to act in Tahidi High while starting out

Comedian and actor Joseph Kinuthia popularly known as ‘Omosh’ from his role in Citizen TV’s program Tahidi High has opened up about how he landed the role and how much he was being paid per episode.

Before joining the program, Omosh was a garbage collector but in 2005, his elder sister Naomi Kamau told him to try out for the Tahidi Auditions.

“I worked as a garbage truck driver for five years until 2000,”  he said in the interview with Nation.

“Naomi always told me I had something special as an actor as she had watched me since childhood…I became ‘Omosh,’ a smart-aleck, know-it-all watchman and with my years working in the garbage dumps in the slums of Nairobi, I could not have been better suited for this part.” 

Salary

While many actors in Kenyan have always started with a low amount, Omosh was lucky to be paid a considerable amount of money after enlisting.

“I was only getting paid 3,000 per episode, but I was giving the part the very best I could.” he said. 

Kilifi Woman Rep: Tahidi High comedy-drama must be banned from TV

Tahidi High is one of the oldest local productions that still airs on Citizen TV. The comedy-drama however faces uncertain future as Kilifi Woman Representative Gertrude Mbeyu now calls for the show to be banned.

According to Gertrude Mbeya, Tahidi High represents everything wrong with the Kenyan education system for secondary schools.

The lawmaker blames the Citizen TV show for immorality, indiscipline, and unrest among secondary school students in the country. There has been a recent spate of incidents of arson at various secondary schools in Kenya.

The Kilifi Woman Rep says high school students have learned to be violent thanks to Tahidi High. She claims the Citizen TV show promotes themes which she does not support as a parent and a leader.

“The program is really messing up our students who are watching this program; they imitate what ‘Tahidi High’ is showing in our TV and they will not go far as they learn what the program is showing,” said Gertrude Mbeyu.

 

 

 

Video: Tahidi High actor Teacher Mweposi spotted totally drunk in the streets

Tahidi High is one of the most watched TV programs not only on Citizen TV but in Kenya as a whole. The TV series has been running for years now and most of the actors are familiar faces to many.

A video of Teacher Mweposi, one of the actors in the program, has been doing rounds on social media showing him totally drunk. According to a social media user, the actor has been spotted around Embasava stage in CBD totally drunk.

Shish: Overcoming Tahidi’s image was hard and it almost ruined my career

Actress Shirleen Wangari has come out to narrate how getting a role at Tahidi High was a gift and still a curse later on. According to the actress who went by the name Shish in the program, she fought hard to re-brand herself after ditching the show.

“It was hard because I played the role of Shish for so long, people began to believe that was the only role I could play, that I could only play the bad girl role and nothing else.” she said in an interview with Nairobi. 

“It reached a point that i stopped going for some auditions, but thankfully i was able to get a role in international films that were being shot in Kenya at the time because they were not familiar with my role as shish. It took a lot of work but finally, people in the industry began to see that i was a versatile actor.”

Her first role

Wangari also narrated how she, together with Melody Mercy, Jolene and Sarah Hassan landed their first acting roles in the program.

“I got the role straight out of Mary Hill Girls High School. I loved the experience, I not only got a platform where I could grow as an actress, but it also gave me a great platform to build my brand. I also got to make lots of friends and networks in the industry.”

Tahidi High actress Veronicah Mwaura aka Miss Obija exposed on Kilimani Mums

Popular thespian Veronicah Mwaura famously known as Miss Obija on Citizen TV’s Tahidi High has been exposed on infamous Facebook group.

Kilimani Mums and Dads Uncensored is known to be the platform for sharing all sort of ridiculous confessions and also for exposing the rot in society.

A certain Alex Kibe took to Kilimani Mums and Dads Uncensored timeline to expose Tahidi High’s Miss Obija who he said has gone underground after he sold her tiles on credit.

Alex claims the pretty Tahidi High actress has refused to pick his calls or reply to his texts ever since he sold her the tiles.

“If you ever come across this lady an actress on Tahidi high strictly transact on cash for two months now she doesnt pick my calls after selling her tiles on credit.I even pay a boda for you cause ati mnashoot n u call in a hurry that u have to get back on set…” Wrote Alex on Kilimani Mums.
