Family and friends will gather today, November 15, to bid farewell to Tabitha Gatwiri, a beloved content creator fondly known as “Tabs.” Gatwiri’s death was attributed to positional asphyxiation, as confirmed by an autopsy conducted at Kenyatta University Hospital (KU) morgue.
Initially reported on October 31, 2024, as resulting from a brief illness, the autopsy revealed that Gatwiri’s passing was due to suffocation caused by positional asphyxia. The report also noted brain edema, a condition where fluid buildup in brain tissues occurs due to oxygen deprivation, potentially leading to severe damage or death.

In a heartfelt appeal ahead of the burial, digital influencer Julius Wololo called on fellow content creators to support Gatwiri’s family and honor her memory.
“I’m addressing all content creators—tomorrow, the 15th, we are laying Gatwiri to rest. This is the only chance we have to come together and give her a proper send-off. If you’re a content creator, please make time to attend,” Wololo urged.
He also invited fans who admired Gatwiri’s work to participate. “If you’ve ever enjoyed her videos or if she was your fan too, come show your support. Let’s do this right,” he encouraged.
Additionally, Wololo asked for financial contributions via M-Changa to assist Gatwiri’s family during this difficult time.
Gatwiri, a talented actress, was best known for her role in the popular TV series *The Real Househelps of Kawangware,* earning her a special place in the hearts of many.
