Controversial business man Steve Mbogo on Friday was in drama after DCI recovered Range Rover from him for evading duty and fraudulently obtaining number plates.
The businessman’s Range Rover was registered as a Toyota Probox and police say he has been avoiding the tax.
“Detectives have today afternoon recovered a range rover from mr. Steve mbogo for the offence of evading duty and fraudulently obtaining number plates. Upon carrying out preliminary investigations, the vehicle number plates were found to belong to a probox.” said DCI.
Mbogo in return tweeted that he bought the car in 2017 and even had the documents to prove it.
“Today I was intercepted by cid officers on claims that my car had fake plates! I bought the car in 2017 and conducted a search from ntsa as below! I have all valid agreements n search results!” he said.
Kenyans however, in the comment section insisted that the businessman is a conman and all the things he has are never legit.
Character
Since the impound, Mbogo took to instagram to share his first post saying that character of a man is everything.
“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.” he posted.
The 2018 list of most influential Kenyans has finally been released and not many Kenyans are agreeing with it.
The list, which has been done by local company Avance Media Africa, has different personalities in the list ranging from bloggers, comedians to musicians aged from between 15-40 years.
Controversial names
Surprisingly, Wilkins Fadhili, his allegedly ex-lover Ruth Ambogo and controversial politician Steve Mbogo are in the list. The three have been in all kind of controversies in the recent past few days which have tarnished their names. Famous personalities such as Larry Madowo, Njugush, Amina Abdi and Betty Kyalo appear on the influential list.
KOT have heavily criticized the list wondering who comes up with such lists majorly because of Wilkins Fadhili who was recently exposed as a fraud.
Steve Mbogo caused a stir when he showed up at DusitD2 hotel on 14 Riverside Drive armed with a Derya Anakon semi automatic shotgun.
The politician came under heavy criticisms from section of Kenyans who claimed he was only there for photo opportunity rather than to get take on the terrorists.
Mbogo has since come out to deny claims he wasn’t offering any help, he explains that couldn’t stay and watch as Kenyans cried for help while he was in a position to assist.

I went there with hopes to help,that little innocent child,the woman so afraid of what lays ahead,an incapacitated elderly on a wheelchair stretching an arm out with fright written all over his face for help.
“I don’t regret being there for my country and her people,I don’t regret taking a bold move while knowing I was putting my life on the line. I will do it again for Kenya and our people anytime am healthy and alive. Those who spewed negative barbs at my rescue session at riverside 14 can only be likened to sadists on full blown manic depression waiting to celebrate when one of us dies. We are one and we must stand up for one another,” wrote Steve Mbogo.
Westgate
Steve Mbogo further explains that Westgate attack changed him, he survived the terror attack but the horror he witnessed is what prompted him to spring into action when he heard DusitD2 was under attack.
The former Starehe parliamentary hopeful says he just couldn’t sit and watch as Kenyans who were trapped inside DusitD2 hotel called for help.
“Perhaps I should start with a brief reminder to those not in know that six years ago that’s 2013 I was a victim of The Westgate attack,the horrendous memories of children and women being shot at blankly at close range on the rooftop is always etched in my mind something that drives me not to have a second thought when it comes to the aid of those under the terror trap.
“It was a heart wrenching scenario that offers me an impetus and the zeal of always wanting to help whenever such a disaster strikes. Even after being a victim,I managed to jump two floors down to safety but I opted to remain at the scene instead of going home, I stayed from the day of the attack till the end of the operation whereby I helped with the voluntary assistance to the rescuers and other Kenyans of goodwill.”
Politician Steve Mbogo was arrested by police for questioning following his appearance at the Dusit Hotel complex in a bullet-proof vest and armed with a semi-automatic rifle.
Kenyans took to social media to criticize and mock the flamboyant businessman after photos and videos of Mbogo at the terror attack scene, armed with a high-calibre rifle and a navy-blue bulletproof vest. He even posted several videos showing how the militants were killed.
Mbogo confirmed to Citizen that he was summoned to Nairobi Area Police Station for that.
“They asked me to come and verify the ownership of my guns. We’re currently going through that process at the station. Hopefully, we’ll be done with it soonest possible,” said Mbogo.

Oddly enough, Nairobi area police boss Richard Kerich, however, said he was “unaware” of Steve Mbogo’s ‘arrest’.
“Who is that Mbogo? I am unaware whether such a person has been arrested,” he said.
Mbogo explained that he wanted to help people at Dusit D2, a reason why he went to the scene immediately after the attack.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has vehemently disagreed with Kenyans that flamboyant businessman and politician Steve Mbogo was at Dusit D2 yesterday to help after the terror attack.
Taking to Twitter, the harsh critic claimed that Steve Mbogo, to begin with, shouldn’t even be wearing a bullet proof vest or be in the vicinity with police. In fact, Miguna Miguna believes the politician might have been part of the attack.
“Steve Mbogo is not legally authorized to carry automatic weapons and dress in bullet proof vests like Rambo. This is insanity. We cannot rule out the fact that he was part of the “attack” and managed to “join” the civilian-clad “security” men at the scene. #RiversideAttack,” he said.
Help
Mbogo, speaking to the media, explained that he rushed to Dusit D2 as soon as he heard of the attack because he’s a licensed fire arm holder and wanted to help.
“I am a licensed firearms holder. I was running my errands near the dusitD2 Hotel here in Nairobi, when I learnt that the facility was under a terror attack. Because I was in a position to help, given I have good knowledge on how to handle firearms and protect myself against such situations, I went in to help in the rescue operations,” he said in an interview with Citizen TV.
Miguga then went ahead to call him a drug dealer, a reason why he was dressed in a bullet proof vest that regular citizens can’t access.
“Steve Mbogo is a known drug dealer. It matters to all law abiding citizens of Kenya that he was at Dusit D2 Hotel wielding an automatic weapon and wearing a bullet proof vest during the alleged attack – just like other drug dealers do in Colombia. #RiversideAttack” he said.

Willing to offer help
Mbogo was among licensed firearms holders who offered to help after terrorists attacked the Dusit D2 hotel. The politician says he was running errands near the facility when the attack happened.

Controversial Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has been ordered to bring down all articles published on his sites about former parliamentary aspirant Steve Mbogo and his wife.
Justice Jacky Kamau also issued an injunction further barring Nyakundi from publishing any other defamatory words or articles against Mbogo and his wife.
“Remove the articles published in the website twitter account and Facebook on November 28 2018” the order reads in part.
Nyakundi ran a series of articles claiming that Mbogo has been cheating after he discovered his wife and his driver were having an affair.
Ksh 20 million
Mbogo and his wife Sabrina Jamal moved to the Milimani law courts early this month in a bid to stop the blogger from publishing defamatory articles about their family. The family also wants Nyakundi to pay him KSh 20 Million as damages for the defamatory stories.
“The article written by the plaintiff to the utter prejudice of the plaintiff whose reputation has been and continues to be immensely damaged and have been turned into objects of cyber bullying unless the orders herein are granted , at least in the interim to curtail further dissemination of the defamatory articles written by the respondents against the applicants,” reads court papers.
It’s not something new to controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi but he’ll be in court yet again after being hit by another law suit.
The blogger, who has been in and out of court because of defamation cases, has now been sued by politician Steve Mbogo of the same after he claimed that he was cheating on his wife. Mbogo is also seeking court orders compelling Nyakundi to delete the articles he has already published.
Bullying
Nyakundi ran the story on his website which later spread to other blogs. Through lawyer Velma Maumo, Mbogo said that Nyakundi is after tarnishing his name.

“The same have been turned into objects of cyber bullying unless the orders herein are granted, at least in the interim to curtail further dissemination of the defamatory articles written by the respondents against the applicants,” the politician cum businessman says in court papers.
His lawyer also stated that Nyakundi edited Mbogo’s photos to make him look bad and has continued publishing negative posts on his Facebook page directed to the politician.
“Nyakundi has negatively edited photos of Mbogo for his own political and economic gain,” said Maumo.
Politician Steve Mbogo’s family is currently on the spot after controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi claimed that the politician has been cheating with flamboyant lady Haentel Wanjiru.
According to Nyakundi, Mbogo and Wanjiru have been having an affair after for sometime now after Mbogo learned that his wife Sabrina Jamal has been allegedly cheating on him with his driver.

Apparently Steve Mbogo was disturbing his neighbors with frequent chopper rides to his home in Karen. The letter however turns out to be fake.
Karen Residents Association doesn’t exist

Ahmednassir Abdullahi asserts that the letter is fake as three hundred shilling note. Grand Mullah revealed this while replying to a tweep who teased him for not being a member of Karen Residents Association.
“So SC @ahmednasirlaw you cannot even be elected into a position in Karen Residents Association? Ama your community is a minority in Karen! Bure Kabisa,” Mohamed Wehliye tweed.
Grand Mullah replied by going HAM on Steve Mbogo. The lawyer says Steve Mbogo is a poor boy with no formal education.
“Mr @WehliyeMohamed 1st, the letter is FAKE. 2nd, the poor boy owns nothing that can fly. 3rd “Karen Residents Association” doesn’t exist. 4th, one of the signatories to the FAKE letter died ages ago. 5th, the letter is a promotion gimmick of a poor boy with no formal education,” Ahmednassir Abdullahi tweeted.
Steve Mbogo is causing disturbance with chopper rides to his home in the leafy suburb of Karen. A formal complaint has been lodged against the Starehe parliamentary aspirant.
Steve Mbogo is among high flying Kenyans who use helicopters to commute around the city. The politician is however causing chaos in Karen with the frequent chopper rides to his home.
Karen Residents Association accuse Steve Mbogo of disrupting their peaceful and quiet life. The association has reported the matter at Karen Police station under OB number 13/23/11/2017.
I will only come if there is enough space to land a chopper
Police have been unable to help Karen residents with their complaint against Steve Mbogo. Apparently the flamboyant MP told Karen OCS that he will only go to the station if there is enough space to land his chopper there.
Karen residents have since lodged the complaint with National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). The residents ask Nema to act with speed to restore peace and tranquility in their neighborhood.
Jaguar clinched Starehe parliamentary seat after beating ODM’s Steve Mbogo and Ukweli party’s Boniface Mwangi in August 8th general election.
The popular singer managed to garner 52,132 votes compared to Mbogo’s 32,357 votes and Boniface Mwangi who bagged 13,413 votes.
Mbogo was quick to dismiss Jaguar’s win right from the word go, the ODM candidate embarked on a mission to gather evidence to prove the singer was unrightfully elected as Starehe MP.

Mbogo through his lawyer Anthony Oluoch filed the petition in court yesterday September 6th; he claimed that he has hard evidence to prove the Returning Officer selectively manipulated and deliberately distorted votes cast in Starehe.

Boniface Mwangi was excited by Steve Mbogo’s move to challenge Jaguar’s win in court. He was confident that the court would annul the results of Starehe constituency.
“Starehe’s MP aspirant Steve Mbogo files petition challenging Starehe MP Charles Njagua’s win. Says election wasn’t free and fair. Looks like we might have a by-election in Starehe in the near future. For those who voted for me, thank you. l shall be coming back to ask you and your friends to vote for me. #StareheNiBonnie” wrote Boniface Mwangi.
Caroline Mutoko is amused that ODM candidate Steve Mbogo finished second in the race for Starehe parliamentary seat. She reprimanded Starehe voters for voting for Mbogo.
Caroline Mutoko took a swipe at Starehe voters after Steve Mbogo came second hinting that the ODM candidate didn’t deserve to get so many votes that put him ahead of Boniface Mwangi.
The former radio queen said she saw a possibility of Jaguar winning the seat but not Steve Mbogo being the runner-up ahead of Boniface Mwangi.

“That Boniface Mwangi could lose to Jaguar was a possibility I had dealt with. That he could get less votes than Steve Mbogo, now that is something to ponder. There is a lesson to be learnt here and I’m not sure sure it’s for Boniface. It’s about us,” Caroline Mutoko wrote on Facebook.
Boniface couldn’t agree more with Caroline’s comment, he explained that Starehe voters chose ‘suit’ over real issues affected them on August 8th.
“The people of Starehe voted “suit”. It wasn’t about issues. Voters who needed assistance to vote walked into the polling station and asked to be showed “Mikono miwili or Chungwa” the party symbols of the two main political parties in Kenya. That’s how we lost. The 16,000 + Kenyans who defied party politics and voted for me, Asante Sana,” Boniface Mwangi commented on Caroline Mutoko’s Facebook post.

A few days ago, Steve Mbogo rushed to court to seek an order barring three media houses from running a story linking him to defilement case.
Mbogo’s move to go to court was eureka moment for Jaguar, the singer all over sudden discovered his rival’s soft underbelly where he could inflect serious damage once struck.
The singer launched scathing attack on Steve Mbogo while campaigning in Ngara over the past weekend; he touched on his opponent’s defilement case and fraud.

Steve Mbogo has been exposed before by the media, but this time round the wannabe Starehe MP was forced to seek court’s protection when he heard the media was about to nuke his political career with a hot exposé.
Some two years ago, the internet was awash with stories of a young billionaire (Steve Mbogo) whose flamboyance earned him nationwide attention.

Fast forward to 2017, Steve Mbogo has rushed to court seeking an order restraining Nation Media Group, Standard Group, The Star and People Daily from running an alleged investigative story linking him to a defilement case.
Mbogo was charged with the offence of defilement in 2009 at the Kibera courts and the matter ended up at the High Court, where he was cleared of the defilement charges.
The controversial business man want the media barred from airing the story because it will cause him untold suffering and prejudice.
“If that story is allowed to run, it will cause me untold suffering and prejudice since the general voting public will get the same through the media complex network that I cannot match in correcting the impression it will have caused,” Steve Mbogo was quoted as saying.
Boniface Mwangi and Jaguar stand to benefit from Steve Mbogo’s woes. The race for Starehe constituency seat is perceived as a three horse race between Mbogo, Mwangi and Jaguar.

Well, I have managed to bump into a couple of photos showing Steve Mbogo hosting his brother in law, Jamal, Hassan Joho among other friends at his house for Iftar. Ramadan being a special month and one that promotes solidarity and brotherhood Mbogo’s family could not have done it better.
Judging from the photos most of the people who were invited to Mbogo’s house came dressed up in their traditional wear, Kanzu to observe a tradition that has been passed down to different generations thus helping to strengthen ties with many during the special month of Ramadan.
