Stephanie Kiuna Opens Up About Marriage, Parenthood, and Missing Her Father’s Funeral

Stephanie Kiuna, daughter of Kathy and Allan Kiuna, recently shared personal insights into her life in a candid Q&A session on her YouTube channel. Now based in Australia with her husband Ethan and their two children, Stephanie addressed fan questions about her marriage, family life, and her emotional journey.

When asked about her wedding plans, Stephanie revealed that she is already married but hasn’t held a formal ceremony yet.
“Who said I’m not married? The ceremony hasn’t happened yet because I want to do it at home. I’ll only get married once, so I want it to be exactly how I envision it,” she explained.

Balancing Marriage and Parenthood
Reflecting on the challenges of being a wife and mother, Stephanie admitted it was initially tough to find balance.
“It’s the ghetto; I wouldn’t recommend it,” she joked. “For a long time, I wasn’t doing a good job balancing being a wife and working. When the kids were younger, I was home with them for a while. Ethan would help whenever he could.”
She added, “Eventually, we figured it out and supported each other. My advice? Put your man first. Prioritize time with him because, without him, the kids wouldn’t be here.”

When asked about her experience as the daughter of the celebrated pastor Kathy Kiuna, Stephanie simply said, “To me, she’s just my mum. She’s a great mother, she’s kind—and not because she’s a Kiuna.”

Meeting Her Husband
Stephanie shared that her relationship with Ethan began through family connections. “He was friends with my sister’s husband. We caught feelings, and here we are.”

The Pain of Missing Her Father’s Funeral
One of the most poignant moments in the session came when Stephanie addressed why she couldn’t attend her father’s funeral. She revealed that visa issues in Australia prevented her from traveling home.
“There’s nowhere on God’s green earth I would have rather been than at my dad’s funeral,” she said. “I didn’t have any issues with him—he completely understood. It was beyond my control. We tried everything, but in the end, it didn’t work.”
She spoke about their close bond, adding, “The relationship we had was more than just being at his funeral, even though I desperately wanted to be there.”

Stephanie recounted their last time together, which was during Christmas.
“It’s that time of year again, and the weight of the holiday feels heavier because of the last time we spent together,” she said. “He always pushed me to start a YouTube channel, saying I wasn’t meant to be behind the scenes.”

Stephanie’s heartfelt reflections revealed her resilience, deep family ties, and determination to honor her father’s legacy despite the challenges she has faced.

Happy birthday, sweetheart. It’s hard to believe how time flies. You have a heart big enough to embrace everyone around you. Following Bishop Allan Kiuna’s passing on July 21, 2023, Bishop Kathy addressed the congregation during a service, explaining Stephanie’s absence from the funeral. She expressed deep gratitude for her children and emphasized how much they missed Stephanie during that challenging time.

Her absence and quiet online presence led to speculation, but her mother’s explanation provided clarity and comfort. Kathy shared, “We miss Stephanie so much. She really did try to come, but due to issues beyond our control, she was not able to make it,” assuring everyone that Stephanie and her family would visit soon and that they remain a close-knit family despite the distance.

While many view social media as a platform for expression, Stephanie’s choice to remain silent during this period seems to reflect her personal approach to grieving.
