Zari Hassan arrived in Uganda this past weekend to attend the Legend in Gold concert celebrating Jose Chameleone’s 25-year music career.
At the concert, Chameleone performed his greatest hits, including classics like “Bageya,” “Jamila,” “Mama Rhoda,” and “Wale Wale,” along with more recent hits such as “Kigwa Lero” and “Forever.”
Born on April 30, 1979, Jose Chameleone is a renowned AfroBeat artist who sings in Luganda, English, and Swahili. He began his music career in 1998 with the Kenyan label Ogopa Deejays, releasing his debut single, “Bageya,” featuring Redsan.
Zari attended the concert with her famous friends, enjoying Chameleone’s electrifying performance on August 31st.
Later, a video surfaced showing Zari and Shakib Cham dancing together, holding hands across a table. The couple swayed, whispered, and laughed as cameras captured their every move. Zari was dressed in white, while Shakib wore a black shirt and blue jeans. It seemed like an after-party setting, with bottles of champagne on the table as their friends cheered them on.
The two looked more in love than ever, despite weeks of an online feud about their marriage.
Their disagreement began in early August when Shakib expressed his displeasure that Zari hadn’t informed him about Diamond Platnumz’s visit to her house. Feeling disrespected, Shakib confronted Zari, who then responded angrily in a video.
This led to further personal issues between them being aired publicly. Currently, Zari and Shakib live separately, with Zari residing in South Africa while Shakib is based in Uganda.
