Reverend Natasha Defends Her Tattoo Yet Again

Renowned Kenyan pastor Rev Lucy Natasha has found herself at the center of an online debate over her unique tattoo choices. While some have criticized her body art, Natasha insists that the true meaning behind a tattoo lies in its intention and purpose.

One of Natasha’s most recognizable tattoos is the “Oracle” symbol on her arm, which she says represents her prophetic calling. “It’s a reminder of my journey after God called me to be a voice to the people,” she explained in an interview with Dr. Ofweneke.

The pastor has faced criticism from individuals who cite biblical references, particularly Leviticus, to condemn tattoos. However, Natasha argues that these interpretations are often taken out of context. “The book of Leviticus was referring to a time when people were worshiping false gods like Baal, and cutting themselves as a form of worship,” she clarified.

Natasha emphasized that God looks at the heart, not the appearance. “What matters is the motive behind the tattoo. If it’s clear and inspiring, it shouldn’t be considered evil or unclean,” she stated.

The pastor’s defense of her tattoo choices has sparked a wider conversation about body art and religious beliefs in Kenya. As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how society will ultimately view the intersection of personal expression and religious convictions.
