Zero chills! Budalang’i MP lights up internet with hilarious caption of his meeting with Ababu Namwamba

Budalang’i MP Raphael Bita Wanjala is trending thanks to his barb on his predecessor. Wanjala took a swipe at Ababu Namwamba after meeting him in Nairobi.

Raphael Wanjala floored Ababu Namwamba in the August 8th general election. Wanjala (ODM) won with 11, 182 votes which represents 44.06% of the votes cast. Ababu managed to garner 9,795 votes or 36.95% of votes cast.

Old rivals

Wanjala and Ababu have always been bitter rivals. The incumbent served as MP for Budalangi constituency between 1997 to 2007 before Ababu unseated him.

Ababu then served as Budalang’i MP for two terms 2007-2017 before Wanjala floored him after he ditched ODM. The two recently met in Nairobi and Wanjala decided to mock him.

He’s just a resident in Budalangi

Wanjala sent social media in a frenzy after referring Ababu as a ‘Budalang’i resident’. The MP captioned a photo which he posed with Ababu, Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong and Water CS Eugene Wamalwa.

“Earlier today I together with Busia county Governor His Excellency Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong attended the signing of KES 10 billion Lower Nzoia irrigation project phase 1 in Busia County with Sino Hydro Corp Ltd at Maji house. The function was hosted by water and Irrigation CS Eugene Wamalwa. With us is a Budalangi resident Mr Ababu Namwamba,” Wanjala posted on his Facebook page.
