With a few hours to the general elections, Kenyans on social media continue to get amazed by some of the stunts our politicians are currently pulling.
Well, yesterday Raila Odinga who is the NASA flag bearer was spotted having a good time with a couple of kids at a children’s playing ground causing a stir around the place.
The video making rounds on social media has now received hilarious reactions as most people are coming out to say that this is how ‘Canaan’ will look like.
Anyway, what is more interesting is that both Uhuru and Raila have been preaching peace everywhere they go and hopefully the citizens will pay attention as we are all not willing to go back to the 2007/2008 post election violence.
Below is the video of Raila swinging with a few kids;
Dennis Itumbi – the senior Director of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President, lit up twitter after he posted a photo of Raila Odinga posing with a super hot chick.
Itumbi’s photo had hidden message, he was mocking the Nasa flag bearer for rubbing shoulders with the hot babe when he was supposed to take Kenyans to Canaan.
Kenyans on Twitter read the mischief in Itumbi’s photo and they reciprocated by sharing hilarious memes which all had messages directed to Itumbi.
Raila Odinga has three lavish homes in Nairobi, Kisumu and Bondo. For the first time Kenyans got a clear view of the interior of Raila’s Karen house.
The Nasa leader caused jitters when it was first revealed that he had built a palatial home in Kisumu City said to be worth Kes 1 billion.
Raila’s ‘state house’ in Kisumu’s Riat Hills is said to have over 10 bedrooms, four expansive kitchens, two main conference rooms, two small conference rooms, many offices, Olympic size swimming pool, several Jacuzzis and a helipad.
Well, Raila’s palatial Karen house has also caused tongues to wag when ‘video tour’ of his posh residence was uploaded on YouTube.
The video was shot during Raila’s Monday morning interview with Radio Jambo’s Gidi Gidi. The entire ground floor of Rao’s house has three massive living rooms with the dining room located upstairs.
Flamboyant city lawyer Donald Kipkorir has thrown his weight behind Raila Odinga’s candidacy to the surprise of many people.
Kipkorir was a staunch supporter of William Ruto and as early as February this year he wrote an open letter to president Uhuru warning him against messing with the DP. The rich lawyer is also a good friend of the deputy president and his family.
Kipkorir’s change of heart took many people by surprise, the flamboyant lawyer is now endorsing Raila Odinga for Kenya’s top job.
Kipkorir made it clear that he was fully supporting the Nasa flag bearer when he met him last night ahead of Raila’s campaign in Elgeyo Marakwet sometime today.
“Tonight, I had One-on-One dinner at Talisman Restaurant with H.E Raila Odinga … And for three hours, we discussed all topics relating to Kenya … am humbled & privileged to be 100% behind his presidential bid … And I look forward to his presidency. Tomorrow, he goes to my mother County of Elgeyo Marakwet to spell out his vision for my people. The maize, wheat, pyrethrum, milk, Athletics, tea, horticultural & tourism industry of my people will be dealt with in his presidency. And our security and roads will be fixed. Let Canaan be! Let Canaan come!” Kipkorir wrote.
If you have been keen on what most politicians say during their campaign speeches then I bet you can recall that on Monday the ODM presidential leader Raila Odinga urged women to hold back from giving their partners their conjugal rights on August 7th at an event he had attended at Homa Bat county.
This was to help to prevent them (Citizens) from over sleeping and missing out on voting the next day. The NASA leader said,
“We are going into a war and we must fully conserve our energies before the day of battle which is August 8th, none of us ought to have sex on the eve of the poll, this will ensure that we wake up early to vote and remain vigilant throughout the day until the results are tallied and announced.”
This came by surprise but is there anything they don’t say, really?
Anyway, popular city pastor Godfrey Migwi of House of Hope Church in Kayole has come out to mobilize other preachers to sue the presidential candidate, Raila Odinga for misleading women to deny their husbands sex until they vote.
According to him sex is part of marriage and even the Bible allows it. Therefore Raila Odinga’s statement is just another reason to promote divorce among young couples since it is misleading and deceiving on all levels. He said,
“The Bible is clear on conjugal rights, thus I’m mobilizing my fellow preachers so that we can plan on how to sue Nasa Presidential candidate Raila Odinga for the remarks. As preachers I’ve handled several cases where spouses part when one party denied another his or her sex rights thus he and any other leader ought not to be taken serious at all.”
Pastor Migwi went on to condemn the NASA presidential leader adding that sex will not be the reason why Kenyans will not vote as everyone is ready to bring change in Kenya.
Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga last Sunday made an impromptu visit to Uchumi supermarket in Westlands to assess the unga crisis.
Raila didn’t find unga, the shelves were empty with a notice that read: “please pick only two packets of maize flour”.
Uchumi employee who attended to Raila Odinga during his impromptu shopping was allegedly fired after the Cord leader left.
Rumors spread on social media purporting that Beth Musau (assistant cashier) and Winnie Musimba were shown the door for attending to Raila when he shopped at the supermarket.
Uchumi management has denied sacking the two employees. In a statement released to the media, the management confirmed Beth and Winnie were still part of their staff and even congratulated them for work well done.
Just when you thought Raila Odinga is all politics, a certain lady has proved that the former Prime minister also enjoys dancing and is not afraid to do it in front of the world.
Well, the video making rounds on social media shows a young lady emerging from the crowd as she dances her way to where the Kenyan opposition leader was standing and from how she was moving her body – things were about to get real!
The lady not only got too close but she went on to get freaky as she grinded on #baba and looking carefully at Ida Odinga who was also present…the online family claims she signaled one bouncer “atoe shida” (the young lady) only for Raila Odinga to tell off his security.
Below is the video shared by Capital FM’s Joe Muchiri.
Gatundu South MP is at it again, this time he told a crowd that he had made a deal with God which will result with the death of Raila Odinga in the event that UhuRuto win August 8th general election.
Moses Kuria seems to be immune to National Cohesion and Integration Commission’s (NCIC) fight against hate speech.
The foul mouthed lawmaker has been arrested a couple of time for hurling dangerous words that posed a threat to the country’s cohesion.
Despite being caught on camera inciting people, Moses Kuria has never been convicted. The best the government has ever done was locking him at Pangani Police Station for four days before being set free.
Moses Kuria together with other 5 lawmakers – famously known as the ‘Pangani Six’ were arrested and locked at Pangani police station on June 2016 for hate speech.
Kuria didn’t learn any lesson from his arrest last year, while addressing a rally in Murang’a on Thursday June 8th 2017, the Gatudu South MP said that he had prayed for Raila’s death.
Speaking in his native Gikuyu language, Kuria said that he made a deal with God that if Uhuru wins August 8th election God will kill Raila.
Kenya’s political leaders are rushing to seek spiritual help ahead of August 8th general election. Both sides of the political divide are meeting with religious leaders.
Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga caused a stir when he was recently seen praying at the Western Wall /Wailing Wall in Jerusalem Old City. President Uhuru Kenyatta had also prayed at the same wall in February 2016 during his state visit to Israel.
Well, Nasa principal Moses Wetangula was seen rocking white shukas when he met His Holiness Syedna Muffadal Saifuddin, the Boha community spiritual leader in Karen.
Apparently the Bungoma Senator met the Boha community spiritual leader to request for his prayers ahead of August 8th general elections.
President Uhuru Kenyatta also hosted His Holiness Syedna Ali Qadar Muffadal Saifuddin at State House, Nairobi on 26th July 2016.
Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta’s kin have been thrown out in the cold by voters in the recently concluded ODM and Jubilee primaries.
Raila’s cousin Jakoyo Midiwo lost to Elisha Odhiambo in ODM primaries for Gem parliamentary seat. Jakoyo only managed 8,900 votes against Elisha’s 13,400 votes.
Midiwo claimed the votes were rigged, he plans to inform the people of Gem of his next move if his concerns are not addressed.
Raila’s elder brother Oburu Oginga had also earlier lost his bid for Bondo parliamentary seat to incumbent MP Gideon Ochanda.
Ochanda had won with 28,446 votes against Oburu’s 4,000 votes; Raila’s brother rejected the results and ordered a recount. He argued that most polling stations in Bondo were raided by Ochanda’s supporters who kicked out his gents and took ballot boxes.
The recount was finally done and Oburu emerged as the winner with 15,784 votes against Ochanda’s 9,538 votes.
Crossing over to Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard, voters decided to reject the president’s niece. Annah Nyokabi, the incumbent Kiambu Women Representative, was trounced by radio journalist Gathoni Wamuchomba – Nyokabi only managed to garner 26, 768 votes against Wamuchomba’s 374,306 votes.
The Odingas and Kenyattas love/hate relationship has been explained by Ruth Odinga – Kisumu deputy governor who is also Raila Odinga’s young sister.
Raila’s father Jaramongi Odinga and Uhuru’s father Jomo Kenyatta enjoyed a warm relationship that transcended work and tribal politics.
In an interview with SDE, Ruth Odinga revealed that the senior Kenyatta travelled to Kisumu with his son Uhuru Kenyatta to visit the Odingas.
“When they came to Kisumu with their father (Uhuru’s father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta) we used to play together. Uhuru is a good friend of mine, a very personal friend. It’s only our political paths that were different. I was born into a political family and politics is what we have grown up in. I met Uhuru through politics. If my father was not in politics, I would not have known Uhuru,” Ruth Odinga told SDE.
The relationship between the Odingas and Kenyatta took a new turn when Jaramongi resigned as vice president and quit KANU in 1966 to form the Kenya People’s Union (KPU).
Historians say Jaramogi didn’t agree with Kenyatta’s government, apparently Raila’s father favored communism while Uhuru’s father was pro capitalism; the two ideologies had split the world into two factions.
Jaramogi was put under house arrest and from there henceforth it was hell for the Odingas; Ruth says she would be taken to Central Police Station in Kisumu where she was forced to undress before being inspected.
“When my father was under house arrest and I was then a pupil at Victoria Primary School in Kisumu, I used to be taken to Central Police Station for inspection. I was forced to undress before being inspected, then I would be asked to dress again after which I would get clearance to go to school. At lunch time, I would be taken to Central Police Station again for screening and clearance.
“When my father was in detention, I was hawking mangoes to get money for ice cream,” Ruth Odinga disclosed.
Raila’s sister further revealed that she reconnected with Uhuru when she joined Kenya High and the president was in St. Mary’s. Ruth said she even knew the president’s college sweethearts.
