Popular Tanzanian comedian Piere Likwidi has confirmed that he tested positive of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a post seen by Ghafla Kenya, Piere announced that Coronavirus test results came positive this past weekend; but so far he appears to be doing fine and still strong!
He went on to ask for prayers from the same fans who have been standing with him since he made it to the limelight! He however called on everyone to be safe, noting that all this shall pass.
COVID 19
Unluckily for Piere Likwidi, he is among the people who stepped out for a private party held in Dar Es Salaam about two weeks ago.
According to several Tz tabloids, most Tanzanians have been acting ignorant thanks to their government which has been hiding the number of people affected with the COVID – 19 virus.
With the numbers reported by their Minister of health; most people allegedly feel that the numbers are still low – hence the reckless behavior of partying when other countries are on lock down!

Thanks to a screenshot taken from Pierce’s WhatsApp fun group; Likwidi went on to share a photo from his hospital bed which he captioned;

So far that is all we can report for now as the comedian now refuses to share more information about his health.
The government of Tz is however rumored to be searching for everyone who attended the Likwidi party; as they fear that the numbers will actually be more than expected.
Sallam Sk and Mwana FA
So far Diamond Platnumz manager Sallam SK is doing much better after recovering from the Coronavirus that saw him get admitted at the ICU!
MwanaFA on the other hand seems to have disappeared from social media; however fans continue to remember him in their prayers!
Kenyan celebrities
Kenya on the other hand seems to have dedicated itself to ensuring the number of cases don’t rise; by creating awareness on social media and through manual banners too!
Anyway below is a photo taken by Likwidi during his isolation period somewhere in Tanzania.
