Patoranking has teamed up with Falz on a new jam dubbed ‘Girls’ and it’s a banger (Video)

Award-winning Nigerian singer Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known as Patoranking, has featured on Falz’ latest song and it’s a big tune.

The song titled Girls celebrates ladies who bring life to parties adding that a bash is not worth attending if they aren’t present.

In the song, Falz and Patoranking say that although drinks are important in a party, enough ladies have to be around for it to be worthwhile saying “the party no go nice if girls no dey, if girls no dey.”

I really love this jam. Although it seems very effortless, you have to agree with me that it is very catchy. I am sure you will hit the replay button a couple of times when you listen to it for the very first time.

Patoranking totally aced the hook while Falz did justice to the hook. Apart from the sheer creativity from both artists, I really loved the pidgin. It spices up their lyrics, obviously is this song was in normal English, it could be boring.

The beat on this song is also impressive. Although I’m not sure if you can dance to it, it really gives you a good feeling and that is what music is all about, isn’t it? I honestly can’t wait for the video to drop.

Wilmer

Patoranking performed his entire album, comprising 12 tracks [6 singles, 6 collabos], released barely a week ago.

All a dedication to his daughter, Wilmer.

My second album is a tribute to my daughter Wilmer.

A reminder of why I work so hard everyday so that she never lacks anything she needs.

His daughter also doubles up as the face of the album.

Among the tracks, is a jam that features Kenya´s own, Nyashinski, dubbed ¨Nakupenda¨.

Additionally, the Nigerian award-winning artist features: South Africa´s queen of dance, Busiswa and Nigerian superstar, Davido.

´Lenge Lenge´ and ´Confirm´ that features Davido, are among the album´s singles, having hit over 4 M views combined.

Definitely, Nyashinski was present but apart from him, the event was star-studded by Sauti Sol´s Aime Bien, Naiboi, Chipukeezy, Kagwe Mungai among others.

However, in a bid to pay homage to the Kenyan community that has been pretty supportive of his work, the Nigerian singer-songwriter expresses:

My Kenyan fans have stood by me since I began my recording journey in 2010.

And I wanted to thank them by giving them a chance to listen to my latest work.

History

Wambui Katee, the beautiful voice behind viral song covers (Video)

Wambui Katee’s cover of Patoranking’s Suh Different went viral late last year. At the time of publishing this article, the song had 457,132 views on YouTube. That’s no mean feat!

But this does not come as a surprise, the cover was meant to gain traction from the get go. Everything was executed above par. From the instruments, the arrangement, down to her vocals. Nothing was out of place.

Her rendition was so good so much so that many people felt that it was way better than the original. And I agree, this is one of those few cases when a cover is better than the original.

The song’s success has made Wambui more aggressive in doing covers. In the last few months, she has uploaded covers of various songs including; Najua Hutaniacha by Makena, Hazipo by Nandy, Toast by Koffee among others.

All her covers are so well-executed. I’d dare say that she is the Kenyan queen of song covers. I’m sure you are noding your head in agreement.

A few days ago, she uploaded a cover of Harmonize’s Kainama and, as expected, Wambui’s rendition was so good that I had to hit the replay button a couple of times.

Patoranking and Morgan Heritage jet into the country for video shoot (Photos)

Kenya is turning out to be the destination of choice for international artistes looking to shoot videos for their songs. Morgan Heritage and Nigerian heartthrob Patoranking are in Kenya for video shoot.

The reggae band has featured Patoranking in their first song of 2019 dubbed ‘Pay Attention’, they have already recorded the song.

Morgan Heritage has been working with several African music heavyweights over the past years, Diamond Platnumz and Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy are among African artistes that the reggae band have already collaborated with.

Video shoot

Patoranking and Morgan Heritage have already shot their music video at 2 Rivers Mall. The shoot will take place at different locals across the country.

This weekend the musicians will shoot their video at Onyx and at Maasai Mara. The complete project will be out in a few weeks time, guess their fans can’t wait for the video.

Ladies expose too much skin in Sauti Sol’s new song ‘Melanin’ featuring Patoranking

Sauti Sol decided to praise dark skin chicks in their new song. The singing quartet used four video vixens who exposed too much skin in their new song.

The darker the berry the sweeter the juice… Sauti Sol featured Nigerian singer Patoranking to drop a song ‘Melanin’ in praise of real dark skin chick.

The video vixens exposed too much skin while flaunting their melanin. The girls were seen topless with only panties on in some scenes in the video.

Another hit

‘Melanin’ is definitely going to be another big hit judging from how people have received it. The quartet got it right featuring Patoranking.

5 Nigerian artistes with big names and little to show in live performance (Photos)

They boast of several hit songs, some of them are even signed by international labels like Jay Z’s Roc Nation. But interestingly these Nigerian artistes have nothing to show in live performance.

If you’ve been paying attention to what has been trending on social media in the last two days, especially Twitter, then you must have noticed Nairobi revelers have been lamenting over the distraught performance by Nigerian singer Tekno Miles.

Tekno Miles

Miles tops the list of Nigerian singers with big names and nothing to show for in live performance. The singer left Nairobians cursing after dropping subpar performance at Ngong Racecourse on Saturday September 9th.

Kenyans were surprisingly impressed by local artistes’ performance especially The Kansol and Camp Mulla; but Tekno’s performance didn’t match his big name and the expectations of revelers.

  1. Tiwa Savage
Tiwa Savage

She was causing ripples across Africa with her new album ‘Red’ when she flew to Nairobi to perform at 11th edition of Barbeque Live that went down at Ngong Racecourse on November 12th 2016.

Tiwa Savage, who signed to Jay Z’s label Roc Nation, didn’t leave a lasting impression after her performance at Ngong Racecourse. Nobody even seemed to have noticed she performed, this is usually not the case when Wizkid or Diamond Platnumz perform anywhere in Kenya.

Remember how tongues were wagging after Wizkid’s concert at KICC on Saturday July 22nd and Diamond performance on the 17th edition of Koroga Festival which went down on 28th May 2017?

  1. Iyanya
Iyanya grinds a fan B-Club

He’s probably a shadow of his past, yes he was featured in Jaguar’s remix ‘One Centimeter’ which gave him clout in Kenya, but currently Iyanya can’t impress a diverse audience other than the bimbos who go berserk every time he removes his shirt on stage.

The Nigerian singer regularly jets into Nairobi to perform for small audiences, mostly pool parties at B-Club. The last gig he had in Kenya was on 4th June 2017, bet most of you were not even aware Iyanya was in town.

  1. Patoranking
Patoranking and Betty Kyallo at Kiza

On Saturday June 24th 2017, Nigerian sensation Patoranking was in Kenya for a performance at the Kiza restaurant and lounge in Nairobi.

The show was hyped on radios and billboards across the city but surprisingly there were no chitchats on social media to indicate that the Nigerian superstar had won the hearts of Nairobi revelers with his performance.

Big names like Patoranking are paid millions per show but if they have no impact with their performances then there is no need for local promotors to waste millions on them.

  1. Davido
Davido and Babu Owino at B-Club

Hehehe… His show in Nairobi on March 28th 2015 was the exact copy of Tekno Miles’ Saturday September 9th 2017 concert at Ngong Racecourse.

All roads led to Carnivore grounds on Saturday 28th March as Davido was set to drop the most electrifying performance ever.

But then disaster happened that Saturday night, Davido performed for 20 minutes and left the stage. Revelers were mad, twitter erupted as Kenyans who bought tickets started throwing tantrums.

All in all Wizkid and Yemi Alade are the only Nigerian artistes you should pay to watch them perform, for the remaining artistes I would advise you to stay at home and watch their performance on YouTube.

The staff of renowned restaurant KIZA lounge based in Kilimani ealier this week made a visit to the spinal injury referral hospital where they donated health and sanitary materials.

Led by their managing director Ali Oumarou, the uptown club donated medical equipment, wheel chairs to the hospital.

“The victims here are also part of us in society so we set aside a day to spend time with them and encourage them that all will be well,” said Mr Ali in a statement. “As part of our campaign for responsible drinking, we decided to visit this center. A lot of the patients here are accident victims with some having been in drunk driving situations,” he added.

Late last year, the establishment, which is celebrating it’s second year of existence, also visited cancer patients at the Kenyatta national hospital as their continued corporate social responsibility. The club which is now popular for hosting local and international stars will have a concert this Saturday as part of the proceeds go to fund their Corporate Social Responsibility.

The concert will be headlined by Nigerian dance hall sensation Patorankin.

“We will also have local artists make an appearance as well as another surprise guest international artist.”Patorankin who already jetted into the country urged his fans to attend his concert promising them an entertaining show on Saturday. “It’s my second time to perform at KIZA but trust me I have come with the best band ensemble from Naija and we will give Kenyans a night of their life with a live band performance,” he said.
