Otile Brown in inspires confidence in ladies in fresh single ‘The Way You Are’ (Video)

The song titled The Way You Are has been topping local charts since it was released a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it. Like, really!

Otile Brown
Otile Brown

Basically, this jam is meant to inspire confidence in ladies and to get them to appreciate themselves as they are since God created them in his own image.

Notably, many ladies have self esteem issues because of their skin tones, body shapes, backgrounds and whatnot and Otile says that they should not undergo procedures or bleach so as to be loved and/or accepted.

He goes on to say that someone who doesn’t appreciate you the way you are will not change his or her mind because you bleached your skin or got some implants.

Although some people are saying that this is a direct jab at his ex girlfriend Vera Sidika, I love the fact that Otile took it upon himself to boost ladies’ self esteem and let them know that they are more than perfect.

Otile Brown and Vera Sidika

As expected, the Alivyonipenda hitmaker brought his A-game on this jam. The way he sings, you can tell that what he is saying comes from his heart.

The beat on and instrumentation on this track are very catchy and perhaps it has a lot to do with the fact that it has a hint of Taraab. The producer, Ihaji, did an impeccable job.

I also loved the video. One of the things that I loved was the diversity of the models. There was a lady with vitiligo, an albino, dark as well as light skinned ladies and it really drove the point home.

Otile Brown reveals why he has no interest in scooping music awards

Singer Otile Brown is unbothered with scooping awards unlike most celebrities who can’t keep calm when it comes to parading them on social media.

Otile Brown at Wasafi TV

Speaking during a recent interview with Wasafi TV, Otile Brown confirmed that so far despite being nominated for several awards, he never bothers to post or hype them on his Instagram.

This is because he was once asked to pay for his accommodation and transport to a certain awards ceremony – then promised to give him the award; and after learning this, he then stopped paying attention to these events.

Otile Brown

Nimechaguliwa Tuzo nyingi lakini hata Kupost huwa sipost, Hazina ukweli tena, Niliacha kuziamini baada ya kuambiwa kama nitajilipia mwenyewe usafiri kwenda kwenye tuzo basi watanipa. Nilishasema Tuzo haziwezi ku-define kipaji change.

Otile Brown and Vera

Thanks to the interview we also learnt that Otile Brown was not the first one to make a move on Vera Sidika. In fact, it turns out that the socialite asked the fella out and after a few dates here and there; he slowly fell in love with the lady.

Speaking to Wasafi TV the singer went on to narrate saying;

Otile Brown recently had an opportunity to speak with journalists from Wasafi TV about his new song, love life; and the man he has since become since venturing into music.

Just like most artists Otile Brown did not have it easy before the fame and money. Speaking during his interview with Wasafi TV the Kenyan singer opened up about his hustles leaving many shocked.

Otile Brown

According to Otile Brown he worked as a soap production company among other places but none of these places paid well. Having struggled through out him learn the importance of hustling and now he is one determined hustler.

“Mimi ni Hustler, Mbali na Muziki nina Biashara zangu, Nna Maduka Mawili Mombasa, Nimewahi kufanya kazi ya kupika sabuni, Nimefanya vitu vingi lakini lo tupo hapa”

Word has it that Jalang’o discovered Otile Brown back when he was a rapper in Mombasa; and seeing the potential OB had, Jalang’o pushed him to singing since he saw that this was his strength.

OB is now ranked among the top artists in East Africa and looking at all his projects so far; we cannot argue about this!

“You are sick” Otile Brown reveals the main reason his ex Vera Sidika aborted their unborn baby

Word making rounds is that Otile Brown is still mad at his ex, Vera Sidika who he has apparently fallen in love with to a point where he was ready to settle down with the lady.

During the festive season or rather just a few days ago the singer went on to share a new post on his Instagram page talking about Vera Sidika’s obsession with having a light skinned child.

In the post Otile Brown goes on to claim that Vera Sidika got pregnant with their baby but with time opted to abort it since she was not sure whether Otile Brown’s genes were strong enough to fight the melanin still running in her DNA despite having spent millions to lighten her skin.

Otile Brown still angry at Vera Sidika

Judging from the post shared above, one can easily tell that Otile Brown is still worried about his ex – who he says would rather date the wrong person just to make sure she gets a light skinned baby.

Well, not quite sure what triggered Otile Brown to share the posts despite having Nabbi in his life – but let’s see how things will work out or if Vera will respond.

“Never skip leg day!” Fans troll Otile Brown after stepping out in a short

Otile Brown’s fans have zero chills! After trolling his ‘skinny’ a few months ago – the same fans have come after the singer trolling his legs thanks to a new photo shared on his Instagram page.

Otile Brown’s legs

According to the fans it seems that Otile Brown has been skipping leg day since they continue to remain skinny despite spending too much time at the gym.

Well, one would assume that this is the main reason why he prefers wearing trousers but also we can’t say that he looks bad – probably his choice of outfit is what let him down.

Otile Brown trolled for his legs

Anyway just like before, this does not seem to bother Otile Brown who continues to do what he does best.

Back with girlfriend Nabbi

Just recently he dropped a new song that was later on pulled down due to his girlfriend’s family who asked him to delete it from YouTube.

Away from that, we can also say that he seems quite happier now that he is back with his girlfriend Nabbi after their online breakup.

Below are just a few comments left under his latest photo that left his fans trolling him.

Otile Brown continues to desperately beg his ex girlfriend to get back with him

Singer Otile Brown is regretting having lost the only woman that made him feel the need of settling down!

Apparently he has not yet given up on asking her to forgive him despite her telling him no and wishing him all the best in a post shared on her Instagram page.

Dear in-laws y’all are the sweetest and I have seen your kind words and unwavering support since day one and I have no idea what I did to deserve such love. However, love is not a game, heartbreak is no joke. It’s going to take a lot more than a song to heal and rekindle. My heart will always beat for him but unfortunately life has brought us here. I appreciate the effort, I really do. It takes one hell of a man to put aside pride and apologise. Maybe one day we will cross paths again. OB I am forever grateful for you. I will always be praying for your success and wishing you all the best in life????

Otile Brown’s new message to Nabbi

Judging from the comments left by Otile Brown and his fans, we can confirm that has been seeking for forgiveness from the Ethiopian lady and until now Otile Brown refuses to take ‘No’ for an answer!

“You are the only woman who can make me settle down” Otile Brown continues to beg his ex girlfriend

Otile Brown is not ready to let go of his ex girlfriend, Nabayet! The singer has already released a new song dedicated to the lady and from his lyrics it seems that he is sorry for losing her.

In the new song the fella goes on to beg the lady for forgiveness and promises to settle down if she comes back.

However, Nabayet recently went on to share a new post on her Instagram explaining why it was not possible for her to get back with the singer. She wrote;

I will always be praying for your success and wishing you all the best in life????

Please forgive me

Mr Otile is however not having it as seen on his latest post. The fella continues to beg his lady claiming that she is the only woman he wants and hopes to settle down with.

Nabbi

Well, let’s see how things work out between these two!

Otile Brown begs his Ethiopian ex girlfriend to take him back

Otile Brown is back with a new song dubbed Nabayet dedicate to his Ethiopian ex girlfriend.

The song which talks about his ex leaving him because of scandals and women comes a few weeks after the lass confirmed that she was done with the singer following cheating allegations.

Otile Brown with his ex girlfriend, Nabbi

However Otile Brown pours out his heart to the lass as he distances himself from the cheating rumors. From his lyrics the guy even promises to marry the Ethiopian lady if she asked him to settle down with her.

Nimejaliwa moyo wa upendo na nikipenda napenda vibaya ila skendo zimefanya sijasettle madem wananihukumu vibaya. Nimebadili hata mienendo wanadai nimefuria ile mbaya maana sifanyi hiki kitendo na skendo sina hamnazo kisa wewe mama.

Otile Brown goes on to add;

Wananiita playboy heartbreaker baada ya kitendo nasepa yaani hawaniamini hata kama nawatania baby mimi sio mtu wa mchezo mchezo Nabayet ukisema nikuoe hata leo Nabayet.

Nabayet dumps Otile

Well, the two apparently went their separate ways after Otile Brown shared a video clip getting cozy with Amber Ray making many criticize him for playing his girlfriend.

It however turned out to be a song he featured the lovely video vixen but his ex girlfriend could not accept this. In a question and answer session on Instagram Nabbi went on to tell one of her fans that the best way to leave a cheating boyfriend is to stay quite and avoid drama.

Did Otile Brown cheat on his Ethiopian ex girlfriend?

It is official that Otile Brown and his girlfriend Nabbi are no longer an item. This comes a few weeks after the lady went on to share a photo of a black rose on her Instagram page hinting she had broken up with the Kenyan singer.

For weeks now the two have not been spotted together meaning that this was their final break up.

Just like any normal couple, the two had already started having issues just three months after they had started dating.

However, unlike the first break up…this time around the two seem not to have any plans of getting back together and Nabbi might have just revealed why.

Did Otile cheat?

Thanks to a question and answer session on Nabbi’s Instagram page, the lady reveals what she would do if she got cheated on. She wrote saying;

Nabbi

Well, isn’t this the same strategy she used on Otile Brown?

Madini Classic is just a cheap attention seeker

I have been trying to follow the drama between Eric Omondi and one John Philip Ouma, alias Madini Classic, and I came to the realization that it’s just hogwash and a waste of everyone’s precious time.

In my opinion, Madini Classic is just a cheap seeker attention who using the Eric for clout but he is going about the wrong way because it’s working to his detriment.

You see, what this chap currently doing has been done by many artists before him. Every once in a while you’ll hear someone disparaging a more established figure in society just to get some attention.

Madini Classic

The way I see it, he acting from a point of desperation because let’s be honest, unlike most of his peers, the likes of Masauti, Otile Brown, Arrow Bwoy, Sudi Boy Madini Calassic barely gets any attention.

You’ll never hear someone saying that he/she thinks of the Nilivyo hitmaker as a great artist never mind the fact that has some really good songs out there.

He’s following the footsteps of Otile Brown, who used Vera to become a household name, but he is going about it the wrong way like I mentioned earlier.

Many people would not want to associate themselves with drama and once they see that you are full of that and are willing to go around tainting the image of others, they tend to avoid you.

Madini Classic
Madini Classic

I’d rather he gets to be known for dating a socialite rather than apparently exposing someone else or painting them in bad light, whether the allegations are true or not. It just doesn’t work that way.

If you are keen, I’m  sure you’ve noticed that he has been pushing his new collabo with Vivian dubbed Energy while using Eric’s name to land interviews in  media houses which tell you what his goal was from the very beginning .

Someone should tell him that he needs to re-evaluate his strategy before it’s too late.

Why Coastal music barely gets any nationwide attention

Very few people cared about Coastal music until recently when Masauti, Otile Brown, Dogo Richie, Sudi Boy, Susumila, Chikuzee and the likes emerged on the music scene.

Artists from the Coast operated in a cocoon for a long time so much so that very few people in the other parts of the country had a clue who they were but have you ever wondered why?

Have you ever asked yourself why the artists and their songs barely get any nationwide attention? Well, I have some pointers as to why.

Masauti
Masauti

Firstly, there’s the obvious fact that almost all top media houses are based in Nairobi. This means that if an artist from the Coast has a new song, then he or she has to travel to the capital city to promote it.

You could argue that artists don’t need the mainstream media because we are in the digital age but that’s a wrong perception. We live in a third world country, TV and radio will always be relevant.

Secondly, artists from the Coast are not as aggressive as their counterparts in Nairobi. I’m sure you have also heard that people from Mombasa take things slowly, the same applies to the artists.

They take so long to release a song and when they release it they don’t even bother to promote it because they are not  agile. That’s just it.

The last reason is claims of sorcery. This might sound funny but it is real in the Coast. Artists are always blaming their counterparts of bewitching them and curtailing their growth.

Sometime last year, Dogo Richie released a song dubbed Mziki Majanga in which he claimed that fellow musicians used juju on him so that he does not grow.

Dogo Richie
Dogo Richie

Among those mentioned in the song were; Fat S, Susumila, Nyota Ndogo, Chikuzee, Bizzy K, Ally B and Bawazir.

Interestingly, a few months later, during a radio interview, Dogo Richie revealed that his voice vanishes when he is in studio but he sounds heavenly when he’s at home.

According to him, the aforementioned artists had revenged on him for calling them out.

The bottom line is that Coastal music is a circus, I have no apologies for saying this. Knowing all this, I’m even surprised that some of the are making it big in the national stage.

After ditching Otile Brown, Jovial drops new jam ‘Deejay’ and it’s a massive hit (Video)

Sultry singer Juliet Ayub Miriam, alias Jovial, has dropped a new jam days after ditching Otile Brown’s new record label Just In Love Music for David Guoro’s Hailemind Entertainment.

Also read: We can’t get enough of Arrow Bwoy’s new collabo with Jovial (Video)

The song dubbed Deejay is a dedication to her boyfriend Sammi Flinch, who works as a mixx master at Switch TV, and all other disc jockeys.

Jovial and Sammi Flinch
Jovial and Sammi Flinch

Jovial really came through on this jam with her soothing voice that I wouldn’t mind listening to the whole day, even if it’s just a casual conversation.

To add to that, she has this unique ability to vary her voice from melodic to almost coarse and believe you me it’s the best thing that could ever happen to a musician.

The lyrics of the song are simple and you’ll probably master the whole song after listening to it twice, okay maybe thrice.

Of course, you won’t fail to notice that she dropped lamba lolo a couple of times on this jam.

In the chorus she says, “Nicheze kama lamba lolo, uweke kwa mutima wange kisha tudigi digi nicheze*3”

Apart from the sexy video vixens, the other thing that struck me is how seductive Jovial is, especially when she was on the bar counter. I honestly could not get enough of her!

Jovial
Jovial

The video, which was shot by the one and only Johnson Kyallo, was brilliantly executed. I, however, felt that it was a bit monotonous because it was only shot in the club but then again it’s a song about DJs.

The audio was produced by Vicky Pon Dis and he also did an impressive job. The beat gives you a feeling that you need to hit the club and have a good time.

If you asked me to rate this song, I would give it a 9/10. Good job jovial!

Watch Deejay below and tell us what you think.

Jovial is far better off without Otile Brown

I honestly feel like sassy singer Juliet Ayub Miriam, alias Jovial, will really go far without being backed by Otile Brown.

Over the last few weeks, there has been some drama after she revealed that she had ditched Otile Brown’s record label Just In Love music.

To be honest, I feel that it’s completely unecessary because truth be told, she’s a very talented singer. She really is.

Most people think that she started singing while she has been in the game for quite sometime.

In as much as Otile Brown played a big part in pushing her career, I believe that she will land on her feet.

In a few years, Jovial will be the biggest female singer in this country and you can take this to the bank.

The truth is, the journey of any creative is never smooth. Once in a while, they will come across some bumps but when they figure out to maneuver then, they are  set up for life.

The same thing is happening with Jovial, she just suffered a small, depending on how you look at it, career setback.

When she finally figures it ot then she is set for this industry.

Like I said, she’s really talented, she’s someone I’d definitly listen to the whole day and not get bored. Keep and eye out for her!

Watch her latest single dubbed Deejay below.

Magix Enga Vs Motif Di Don: Who is the baddest producer?

These days, almost every song begins with the words, “Motif Di Don” or “Magix Enga on the beat”. You would be tempted to think that the two are the only music producers in the country which is not the case.

Also read: Magix Enga has taken Kenyan music to the international stage

While the are are countless music producers in Kenya, the work of Magix Enga and Motif Di Don really stands out. They have a distinct approach and this explains why they are a cut above the rest and the most-sought after beat makers.

Motif Di Don
Motif Di Don

Each of them has worked with the biggest names in the entertainment industry and in a way they have helped propel the new Kenyan sound that made many people realize that they can actually enjoy local music.

Magix Enga has worked with the likes of Otile Brown, Timmy Tdat, Arrow Bwoy, KRG The Don, P-Unit, Zzero Sufuri, Ethic, Alvindo, King Kaka, Kristoff, Khaligraph Jones, Prezzo, Naiboi, Mejja, Rankaddah. The list is endless.

On the other hand, Motif Di Don has produced songs for Masauti, Ethic, Otile Brown, Khaligraph Jones, Masterpiece, Nadia Mukami, Qritical, Pro & Lava Lava and Rayvanny who are both Tanzanian singers.

If you are a fan of Kenyan music, like yours truly, then I’m sure you’ve seen your favourite local musician in the aforementioned names. What’s even more is that most of them are big acts which also means that Magix Enga and Motif Di Don are the baddest producers around.

Magix Enga
Magix Enga

In as much as they are both incredible and doing their very best to grow the local industry, at the end of the day, one of them has to be better than the other and that’s what I want to find out from you. I’d like to know your perspective of them.

So tell me, who do you think is the baddest producers between Magix Enga and Motif Di Don? Leave a comment below.

6 collabos between Kenyan and Tanzanian artists that we’d totally love to see

Kenyan artists have been working with their Tanzanian counterparts a lot more lately so much so that people who don’t like Bongo music, like yours truly, are starting to feel like it’s worth their time.

Also read: 5 impossible music collabos we’d love to see before 2019 ends

We’ve seen some impressive collabos between Tanzanian and Kenyan artists in the recent past. Some of the include; Timmy Tdat & Rosa Ree, Willy Paul and Nandy, Bahati and Rayvanny, Juma Jux and Nyashisnki and so on.

In my opinion, we need to see more of these and that’s why I came up with a list of artists who I think should work together because why not? Also there’s the fact that it well grow East African music.

That being said, here’s our wish list of collabos:

1. Nadia Mukami and Juma Jux – After watching their mash up of African Lover on Coke Studio, I think these two should get into studio like yesterday.

Nadia Mukami and Juma Jux

2. Rosa Ree and Khaligraph Jones – This collabo should have happened a long time ago. I mean why not? Both artists are bad-ass rappers and they would really kill it on one track.

3. Otile Brown & Vanessa Mdee – I’m not quite sure about this but something tells me that a collabo between them would be totally fire. I’m looking forward to the day they will give us a treat.

4. Arrow Bwoy and Rayvanny –  I live for the day these two musicians will release a song together. Thinking about it just gives me goosebumps. If a collabo between them comes to pass, it will be the biggest song of the year.

Arrow Bwoy and Rayvanny

5. Nyashisnki and Nandy – I feel like a collabo between these two would be pure bliss. Nandy’s smooth vocals would really blend in well Nyashisnki’s rap. Get into studio guys!

6. Vivian and Darassa – This is another one that I’m not quite sure about. However, I feel like a rap-infused song with Vivian’s vocals would be totally fire.

Which collabo are you looking forward to? Tell us below.

Arrow Bwoy needs to be very careful

To date, I’m yet to come across a song by Arrow Bwoy that I didn’t think was a hit or that I didn’t vibe to at all. It almost as if everything he touches turns into gold. I’m sure you agree, don’t you?

The singer whose real name is Ali Yusuf this rare gift of infusing English, Swahili and Luganda lyrics and ends up with a very unique and beautiful sound. The beat justs complements his style.

Arrow Bwoy
Arrow Bwoy

Unlike what most people think, Arrow Bwoy is not a newbie. He has been in the game since 2012 when he was part of a group called QBIC. He ventured out on his on in 2015 and got his first hit Digi Digi in 2017.

Since then, his star has continued to shine so much so that he even landed collabos with Jamaican heavyweights Demarco and Cecile. This is not a small feat but I’m sure you already knew that.

Locally, he has worked with the likes of Gabu, Masauti, Otile Brown, Timmy Tdat, Nadia Mukami, Sudi Boy, King Kaka, Krg The Don, Voltage Music, Jovial just to name a few.

As you listen to all his songs, you can’t fail to appreciate his ingenuity. However, you’ll also notice that he sounds pretty much the same in all of them which to be honest, I feel like it’s something that might curtail his success.

Arrow Bwoy
Arrow Bwoy

You see, in as much as all songs are done by the same person, hence they will have the same voice, music fans expect you to vary your songs so that you don’t bore them the way Jaguar did. It’s just what it is.

In my opinion, Arrow Bwoy needs to be careful or he will lose relevance in no time. He should look for ways of varying his sound so that his fans don’t feel like they are listening to the same song over and over

Listen to his latest release dubbed Ngeta below.

Otile Brown and Ethic have finally dropped their collabo ‘Dala Dala’ and it’s a massive hit (Video)

What a time to be alive, like really! Who thought we’d one day see Otile Brown and Ethic on one track? I bet none of you did.

Also read: New-age musicians are so unpredictable and that’s the beauty of music

Well, that day is finally here. A few hours ago, the two Kenyan music powerhouses dropped a jam dubbed Dala Dala and as expected, it slaps really hard!

The little Swahili I know tells me that dala dala is mini bus or a matatu if you like.

However, in the context of this song, it signifies that life is a journey i.e, you need to travel but it can cost you, hence dala dala. You get it?

Ethic Entertainment

Of course we are used to Otile Brown singing along to a Bongo beat but do you know what’s better that? It’s Swat and Seska vibing to it.

My best part of course was by Seska! in my opinion, he really killed it! He outdid himself on this track.

There’s a part where he says, “Nikikupea silver goro ntapea Kamene, ju mimi ni girimba kuwashia kama meme.”

If this is not greatness then I really don’t know what is! I honestly don’t know ladies and gentlemen.

Seska
Seska

Side note: We really missed Rekless and Zilla on this jam. I could not help but imagine how they would have aced this beats.

Everything about this song is on point, from the scene transitions to the beat which was produced by Magix Enga.

Actually, if I was to rate it I would confidently give it an 11 (eleven) out of 10, but I’ll let you be the judge.

Watch Dala Dala below and tell us what you think.

Baby on board? Otile Brown’s new girlfriend flaunts growing baby bump!

Otile Brown yesterday afternoon left many talking after sharing a new photo of his girlfriend who appeared to be rocking a growing baby bump!

This however did not come as a surprise since Otile Brown has always been open about his love for kids; and after Vera Sidika refused to give him one then he moved on to the next.

Although he later pulled down the post, we managed to get a screenshot of the photo which he captioned saying;

Ggaaah! Cinema Kando….Alhamdulillah!

Otile Brown’s collabo with Arrow Bwoy and Masauti dubbed ‘Lucy’ is totally fire (Video)

Kenyan singer Jacob Otieno Obunga, alias Otile Brown, has really been on a roll this year. He has released 7 songs since 2019 begun which translates to a new song every month.

Otile Brown

While all the songs are receiving massive airplay on local radio and TV stations, in my opinion none of them comes close to his latest collabo with Otile Brown and Arrow Bwoy dubbed Lucy.

The song was released about 4 days ago and it has already clocked 140,000 views on YouTube never mind the fact that it doesn’t even have a video. I don’t want to imagine what would happen if they decided to shoot a video for it.

Masauti
Masauti

Honestly, I never thought Otile and Masauti would ever do a song together. Most people think that they are sworn enemies but as it turns out, nothing could be further from the truth. They even did us one better by featuring Arrow Bwoy.

Lucy is such a beautiful composition. It is the kind of songs that you want to listen to over and over. Put simply it’s really infectious. Where is the lie?

All the three artists really come through on this song with soulful lyrics that speak directly to the heart. And no, I’m not about to start a debate about who outshone the others. Listen to the song and decide for yourself.

Arrow Bwoy
Arrow Bwoy

Interestingly, Lucy was conceptualised and released in two days. Although it was hurried, the end result was still awesome.

The song was produced by the one and only Motif Di Don and as expected, he didn’t disappoint. The beat is perfect, it has this vibe of a party anthem and a feel good song at the same time.

Listen to Lucy below and tell us what you think.

Otile Brown is becoming less popular every day

Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe you haven’t but talented Kenyan singer Jacob Otieno Obunga is becoming less popular as days fly by. But then again maybe it’s just me.

Gone are the days when he would garner millions of views a few days after releasing a song. These days, his songs take so many months before hitting the one million mark.

For instance, Japo Kidogo – a song he released with Khaligraph in March has 900,000 views. Anyone can tell you that this number is definitely good for many Kenyan artists but not for Otile Brown. It’s just what it is.

The Samantha hit maker had not done any interview with local media houses in the last two years. When contacted, he often told people that not doing interviews was part of his strategy.

About a fortnight ago I was astounded when I saw him on Citizen TV’s 10 over 10 promoting one of his latest releases dubbed Zichune. He was also on Milele FM and a couple of other radio stations. This really got me thinking.

Perhaps Otile Brown has come to the realization that he is not as popular as he was in 2018. He knew too well that doing media tours would get him back on people’s lips and as a result they would check out his music.

I have two analogies that could explain Otile Brown’s dwindling fame. One is the obvious fact that he’s no longer dating popular socialite Vera Sidika. The fact is this lass made him popular and now no one cares because they are no longer together.

Two is the emergence of Masauti, Madini Classic, Brown Mauzo, Sudi Boy and the likes. Otile Brown brought Coastal music to the national stage and when he did, he opened the doors for others who perhaps are better than him.

Otile Brown ventures into Lingala in new collabo with Jovial dubbed ‘Amor’ (Video)

Kenyan singer Jacob Obunga, alias Otile Brown, has dropped another jam with Afro-fusion singer Jovial.

Dubbed Amor, their new collabo was released barely a month after the two talented debuted their mega hit dubbed Zichune.

As the title suggests, their new song is a love ballad. Amor is a Spanish word that means love.

As expected, both Otile Brown and Jovial really came through in this jam. Their vocal delivery was really on point.

One of the many things that I love about Jovial is that she can change her voice from sweet-sounding to this rough but sexy voice.

Of course, we can’t fail to appreciate the Lingala vibe in the song. Maybe, just maybe, it’s the reason why this jam is an instant hit.

I love the simple shoot locations that they picked for this song. It really gives it context. In of the scenes, Jovial is seen feeding Otile Brown at a construction site. Does it get any better than that, honestly?.

Amor was directed by X Antonio and I think he did a great job, especially with the scene transitioning.

The beat, which was produced by the one and only Vicky Pon Dis, is also pretty decent. A few seconds before  the song ends, from 3:02, you’ll hear this sweet Lingala instrumental. It’s just lovely!

Jovial has been putting in a lot of work lately and believe you me, it won’t take long before she becomes  a household name.

Otile Brown and Vera’s nasty breakup

Having dated Vera Sidika before, singer Otile Brown became a catch for many women who couldn’t help but wonder how he managed to get Vera Sidika.

But as time went by socialite Vera Sidika went on to embarrass Otile Brown by exposing his ‘poor’ bedroom skills on social media; hence the nasty break up!

Anyway hopefully this will not be the case with his new found love!

Otile Brown and Vera now in talking terms: I was at her beauty parlor and had my legs done

Kenyan R&B artist, Otile Brown speaks his first since his nasty breakup with Vera, assuring fans that the two are now in good terms.

Speaking during Citizen TV´s ¨10 over 10¨, the music sensation articulates that the two have settled their differences over time.

Vera has a beautiful heart, she is caring.

But when it comes to love, there are people who don´t know how to deal with heartbreaks.

I have got nothing but love for her.

Actually we are talking, we started talking recently.

I was at her beauty parlor and had my legs done.

However, Otile reiterated fact that the curvy beauty does not know how to deal with breakups.

This comes as the first since the two part ways with a war of words witnessed between the two ex-lovers.

Otile Brown Vs Masauti: Who’s really the king?

Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe you haven’t but the truth is that Masauti’s prominence in the music industry is increasing each new day. He’s finally enjoying the fruits after 5 years (or so) of nothing but hard work.

Since the year began, the singer, whose real name is Mohammed Ali Said, has released 5 songs which have all done extremely well in Kenya as well as outside the country.

The 5 songs are; Kiboko, Sare, Kiboko (Remix)  featuring Khaligraph Jones, Ipepete and Lola – a song that he did with Nadia Mukami.

Masauti’s sheer consistency is a clear sign that he didn’t come play. As such, it doesn’t come as a surprise that his star is shining so much so that it seems like he’s out to settle a score with Otile Brown.

Truth is, very few people gave a hoot about Coastal music a.k.a Kenyan Bongo until Otile Brown ‘used’ Vera Sidika to gain fame. He not only grew his name and following by dating the socialite, he also turned people’s attention on his music.

As such, you would not be wrong if you gave Otile credit for popularizing Coastal music. In one way or the other, he opened the way for the likes of Masauti, Brown Mauzo, Madini Classic, just to name a few.

The first rule from Robert Greene’s book The 48  Laws of Power states that you should never outshine the master. However, it seems the people whom Otile Brown opened the way for are out to do just that, especially Masauti.

He seems keen on snatching the crown from Otile Brown’s head. Chances are, he already has. The more he gains prominence, the less popular the latter becomes. After all, there can only be one king.

According to you, who is the king between Otile Brown and Masauti?
