Former Tahidi High actor Omosh Kizangila has opened up about his struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. In a recent interview with Obinna TV, Omosh shared his journey from his first encounter with alcohol after finishing high school to his eventual recovery.

He reflected on how the friends he chose played a significant role in shaping his future, saying, “In life, if there’s anyone who decides your future, it’s not the teacher or the parent, but the friends you choose in life…they are the ones who define your destiny.”

Omosh recounted how he funded his addiction through his job as a conductor after high school and struggled with his drinking habits throughout his college years, which he ultimately could not complete due to his addiction. His alcohol abuse led to severe health issues, including ulcers, and required surgery.

Despite his recovery from surgery, he fell back into drinking due to peer pressure. His alcohol dependency became so severe that he could not eat without drinking first. “A large percentage of my blood was alcohol…I couldn’t eat unless I drank first,” Omosh admitted.

Omosh now a High school motivational speaker? (Photos)

Actor Omosh is dropping surprises on his page and just when we thought he had shown us everything…from begging money online to the fake crying asking for s tripod and camera and today….today Omosh is a motivational speaker that is judging from the latest photos shared on his page.

Omosh Kizangila

Well, from the photos Omosh is seen standing infront of High school and I’m assuming this is because he was a guest speaker at the school. Do you remember back in High school when celebrities would visit either for CU or entertainment if not career talk? So yes, same situation.

However, i cant help but womder….how fast has Omosh been able to work on himself to a point he can pose as a motivational speaker. I say this judging from his drinking history and i know youre also asking the same question.

Omosh pushing for change?

Well, chances are that Omosh has been putting in some effort to change himself for better and clearly he must be doing something right to earn him the right to speak to students who look up to him for inspiration.

Also, its a big break on his end seeing that there are people who want to be like him and like they say…God can use anybody, so don’t look down on any anybody, right? Anyway check out the photos below courtesy of Omosh.

“I am not depressed” Omosh now claims days after he revealed he is broke & stranded

Actor Joseph Kinuthia popularly known as Omosh says he is not depressed nor is he having financil issues as revealed on social media for the 3rd time.

Omosh Kizangila

Well, a few days ago Omosh held a candid interview with Mpasho where he revealed he slowly slipping into depression now that he isnt sure what is happening in his life. Apparently someone hired him but refused to pay him leaving him stranded with no money for transport or even to buy food for himself.

Although this is a tale we have heard him say time and time before, the actor who now doubles up as an MC went on to tell the popupar news outlet that…

I’m just going through a lot, I don’t know if it’s depression or what’s happening in my life. Like now, I’m wondering how I’ll get to my house in Kayole. I was called for some jobs but it didn’t work so I’m stranded.

Not depressed, just hurting

With this of course netizens couldn’t maintain their silence as they called out the fella for being irresponsible and others, calling him out for being a drunkard.

However thanks to a video shared on his page, Omosh says he is not depressed but has been dealing with a loss he still cant come into terms with. Apparently he travelled for a burial of one of his friends who was also a neighbor and on their way back….another of his neighbours who had attended the funeral with him crashed and died while driving back to Nairobi….so double tragedy.

Which is why lately been appearing to be depressed. Well…thats what he claims but then again – there are those pushing him to go to rehab since they already know how he moves…and if anything wanajua kadi zake zote.

Twins! Omosh shares throwback photo of late dad leaving many confused by uncanny resemblance

Did you know that Omosh and his late dad look like twins? Well, now you know. The actor   confirmed this with an old photo of his dad shared on his Instagram page.

From the photo I can confirm his followers were forced to do a double-take on Thursday after Omosh, 51, posted a vintage photo of his doppelgänger dad taken back in the day.

Well, it’s not a new thing to see sons take after their fathers – but in Omosh’s case we can say the two generations of Kinuthia men look like clones, if not twins. However the only difference between them is that Omosh’s late dad rocked dreadlocks while young – something Omosh didn’t borrow from his daddy.

Omosh’s parents

It’s not the first time the actor has been posted a photo of his dad online. The first time he introduced his parents to his social media many didn’t catch their striking resemblance since his old man was already aged. Showing them off to the world, he wrote;

Omosh’s parents

Dad, Mum and I,,, I love you so much my parents may God give you more years.. MOB LOVE #parents#moshkizangila #panahaa #tumsinguyaz #omosh #kizangila

A year later, he announced his dad’s death saying;

Omosh’s dad laid to rest

You will be missed forever and always. The beautiful moments you shared with us will always speak of the great person that you were. Rest in peace Dad????

Omosh loses his dear dad

Comedian Omosh and his family are currently in mourning following the untikneky death of their dad. The fella announced the sad news through his social media just a few hours after incident and from what he wrote – seems like the 50 year old had a good relationship with his father.

As seen on Omosh’s Instagram page – the comedian not only mourned his dads passing but went on to mention how different life was going to be – now that the old man is gone.

However since death is a rite of passage to all living beings – all he and family could do is accept fate. In his detailed post Omosh went on to write;

Omosh loses dad

You will be missed forever and always. The beautiful moments you shared with us will always speak of the great person that you were. Rest in peace Dad????

Omosh family

Although Omosh is said to be related to Kenyan screenwriter, Naomi Kamau and the late Wanade who passed on a few years back – the fella has always been all about his business.

The first time he started making news after his comeback – Omosh for the first time share a post parading his parents to the world and captioned;

Omosh’s parents

Dad, Mum and I,,, I love you so much my parents may God give you more years.. MOB LOVE

However a few months later and the 50 year old actor’s dad is no more. We from the Ghafla team send our sincerest condolences to Omosh and his family during this trying time.

Bishop Kanyari comes clean on why he gave actor Omosh money after praying for him

Actor Omosh and Pastor Kanyari gave Kenyans a reason to talk after following a viral video where the man of God was seen praying for Omosh.

Omosh Kizangila

From the clip Bishop Kanyari is seen casting out demons from Omosh who suddenly loses consciousness – then falls down while the Bishop continues to pray for him. Having seen size 8 pull the same stunt, there are those who obviously concluded that Omosh and the Kanyari were up to fooling netizens too.

However the Bishop has refuted these claims saying he actually met Omosh for the first time – that fateful Sunday. Speaking during recent interview, the man of God opened up saying;

Bishop Kanyari

Though I have meet many influential people, I have never seen Omosh face-to-face. My church is big as you can see and the worshippers are many so I could not see that he was among the congregants. I also have eyesight problem so I can’t see far.

Kanyari went on further to reveal the prophecy given to him by God about Omosh saying;

However, when I asked people to come forward, that is when I noticed him because I usually see him on TV. I prophesied that he will be a great actor then I placed my hand on his hand to pray for him as I have done for many people and he fell down.

Why he gave Omosh cash

On the same interview, Bishop Kanyari also mentioned about giving Omosh some money, but not for his acting skills but because he was a big fun.

I gave him KSh 7,000 that’s little money. I gave him that money because he is a person that I always see and he makes me happy because he is a comedian. I like how he reacts in his skits. I was happy to see him in my church for the first time and I thank God that I prayed for him.

Well judging from his current lifestyle as seen on his social media pages – I guess parting with 7k wasn’t such a big deal for the Bishop.

Drunk And Disorderly- Omosh Spotted At A Local Club ‘Entertaining’ Netizens (Video)

Ex-Tahidi High actor Omosh Kizangila has once again been caught up in his drinking spree. This time, the popular actor has been spotted at a local club in Komarock. The actor had previously been called out by Kenyans for getting drunk with the money they contributed for him.

The issue escalated to Omosh being urged to go for rehab. But all the efforts are ending up in a cul de sac. Apart from building him a home, Kenyans had donated over Ksh 1 Million for him after his cry for help. But he proceeded to deny the same, claiming that he didn’t receive most pledges.

Drunk Omosh-Google

Additionally, Omosh’s 2nd time of asking Kenyans to help him out was turned down. However, he was lucky enough to receive a camera, tri-pod stand and a mic from singer B Classic; who believes that everyone deserves a second chance. But how many chances is Omosh really getting?

Omosh Exposed

With Paparazzi everywhere, celebrities should be on the look-out. But Omosh is always caught red-handed. The weekend escapades had him recorded by one of Edgar Obare’s students; who claimed that he was drunk, disorderly and dirty. Omosh has now been termed as an alcohol addict who needs rehab; rather than financial assistance. Below is Omosh’s video in the club;

Omosh’s 1st Wife Begs Kenyans To Build Her Own House- Ata Kama Ni Bedsitter Ya Mabati.

Omosh’s 1st wife, Mrs Ngatia, has appealed to Kenyans to also construct a house for her; just months after her hubby Omosh got generous Kenyans to build him his own house. Mrs. Ngatia, real name- Judy Wacuka, has opened up on having accumulated huge arrears both in rent and in debt of friends when COVID-19 pandemic struck.

Omosh’s 1st wife Mrs. Ngatia

Omosh states that the house that Kenyans built for him is now being occupied by him and his 2nd wife.

Mrs. Ngatia Speaks On Her Struggles

Speaking on the same channel that first aired Omosh’s story, Hiram Kamuhunjia’s YouTube channel, Ngatia disclosed that she currently lives in a bedsitter with their three children in Kayole and has not paid rent for two months. She has been chased out of 4 different houses because of lacking rent. She also added that her 3 children have been on and off school because of lacking school fees.

”Naishi bedsitter ya 5 thousand… Niko na arrears ya miezi miwili… Hii COVID imenipeleka vibaya sana. Kazi ilipodidimia, pesa nazo zikadidimia automatically… Landlord bado anangoja pesa mwisho wa mwezi. Alafu pia alikuwa ananiona kwa TV…”

Mrs. Ngatia has now pleaded with Kenyans to help her build a house; even if it’s a bedsitter.

”Mimi sitaki kusumbua watu. Kwa sababu unajua saa hizi, times ni hard… Mimi naomba tu nijengewe ata kama ni one bedroom ya mabati… Ya kushikilia tu. ”

Omosh agreed to share his piece of land with her for the house.

Ameacha Kuomba! Omosh Kizangila Finally Set To Start Content Creation (Video)

From grass to grace, former Tahidi High actor Omosh is finally embarking on his impeccable acting talent. After several days of criticisms from every corner for asking for help yet again, Omosh decided it’s high time to make his own money.

A Second Chance

Being the lucky man he is, Omosh wasn’t turned down in the 2nd time of asking. Singer Dennis Manja, known for his stage name B Classic, gifted Omosh a camera and tri-pod. He said that human beings deserve a second chance.

“I bought him a microphone, a tripod and a camera, I love his job and would love to support him. I hope these articles will help him in his work”

Omosh is now making good use of the equipment; and Dj Shiti is among the celebrities he will be working with.

In an interview, the actor said he used the money given to him months ago to pay off his loans and start a business for his wife.

Although a video of him getting drunk circulated and elicited negative reactions , Omosh claimed that he is now a changed man.

He added that Kenyans will not hear back from him again and apologized.

Omosh reveals how his begging stunt has improved relationship between his two wives

Former actor Omosh aka Joseph Kinuthia already asked fans for forgiveness; and truth is, it’s time to let go rather than crucify a man; who we all know is in need of help especially due to his addiction.

Speaking during a recent interview, Omosh apologized for his begging free stunt; adding that his actions were done on a light note and were not meant to anger Kenyans.

Omosh’s parents

Have you ever done something and wondered, ‘why did I do that?’ You even go ahead and hate yourself for doing it. You do something and feel ‘Oh my God, I wish I never did it?’ Reason being? I knew I had annoyed Kenyans. You do something, but you don’t think it would annoy anyone. I never thought Kenyans would get that angry; I thought they would take Omosh as a joker.

However things did not work out as planned as Omosh ended up getting backlash and insults from Kenyans.

Grateful for the positive outcome

Despite all the drama, Omosh says there was a positive outcome from his actions. How?

Apparently his wives got to sit him down after his begging spree; and for the first time the two got to agree on something. From what Omosh says is that they both expressed their disappointment in him for begging and not consulting them first. He said,

They were wondering why I went to beg, again, on national television without informing them of what I’d say in the interview. Even my friends were taken aback by the now-misunderstood message.

However having learnt his lesson the hard way, Omosh now says that his relationship with his wives has improved; and unlike before, the three get to agree on something it’s done – which shows growth. He went on to add;

Omosh with one of his wives

Right now we are okay. I have learnt to consult them and listen to their advice

And I guess this is why he will be joining a rehab center this weekend.

“I don’t see the need of going to rehab” Actor Omosh speaks

If there is something Kenyans have enjoyed – is making fun of actor Omosh; also known as Joseph Kinuthia – who must have been mistaken to think that he would fool Kenyans twice.

This is after his second viral video where he was heard begging Kenyans to step in financially; barely 3 months after he allegedly received Ksh 1 million offered by Kenyans willing to help a brother out.

Omosh with Jalang’o

He however squandered everything in weeks; only to come back hoping Kenyans would pity him like the first time. Unfortunately for Omosh, all he got was backlash, hilarious jokes and memes about his begging tactics.

Judging from how fast the stories circulated on social media; a PR stunt had to pulled in order to help control this damage.

Begs for forgives

Foetunately for Omosh, he managed to land an interview with journalist, Hiram Maina; who gave Omosh a platform to apologize to Kenyans for being greedy and unreasonable.

Omosh breaks down during his first viral interview

Speaking during the interview Omosh revealed that he had no intentions to anger Kenyans; leave alone push them to hate him.

(But wait Omosh, you literally begged Kenyans to send you money, remember?)

Speaking during the interview, Kizash said,

Mimi mwenye nilikuja kujiuliza surely what did I do…ushawahi fanya kitu mpaka wewe mwenyewe unajichukia…Unafanaya kitu alafu you start wishing you never did it. Reason being, umeudhi watu..mimi sikuwa najua wakenya wataudhika hivo..nilikuwa najua watachukulia huyu ni ule Omosh Joker, Kitu kama hiyo.

Rehab

Also since it is no secret that Omosh is struggling with Alcoholism; Hiram Maina went on to inquire whether Omosh had any plans to go to rehab. But, judging from the response he gave; it’s evident that Omosh has no plans for now – as he gave an excuse saying;

Omosh caught on camera in May,2021 drunk as a skunk

“I have been to rehab twice…Rehab can only be a personal decision. I have to involve my family as well. No one can be forced to go to rehab. I do not see the point of going back to rehab; but I think visiting a counselor once in a while would be the best option for me. “

I Am The Same Person With The Same Problems But I Have A House Now- Omosh

After several memes and trolls, Ex-Tahidi High actor Omosh is still not keeping calm about his situation. Omosh is alleged to have been on a drinking spree with the money Kenyans raised for him, and continues to deny that he got more than Ksh 1 Million from Kenyans. According to him, not everyone fulfilled their pledge of contribution.

”I’ve never tasted a million in my whole life. If you guys think I got a million, you guys are mis-informed… The truth is I’ve never got even a million…”

Biting The Hands That Feed You

On the other hand, Jalang’o had already said that he personally helped to raise Ksh 1 Million for Omosh from his show; and even hosted him for 2 weeks.

”I can easily assure that omosh got more than 1m from my show…personally in cash he got more than 700k then the people who sent money directly to him! I hosted him 2 weeks after he came out …people had already started sending him money!”

ACTOR OMOSH BROKE AGAIN AND CLAIMS HE RECEIVED LESS THAN SH1 MILLION – Buzz Central
Omosh and Jalas-Google

Omosh however refuted the claims again. The money he got from Kenyans wasn’t enough for him. He claims he’s now having the same problems, but is thankful for his house.

”Here I am. The same same person, the same same problems. But one thing, with a house and a land”

Despite all this, Omosh has still received some help from well-wishers like B Classic, who believe he deserves a second chance.

Hilarious reactions as KoT ruthlessly roast Omosh Kizangula

Kizangula is a vibe! If there is anything Kenyans are praying for, is that God grants us the kind of confidence Omosh has.

I mean, zero shame and just in case you forgot…he managed to spend ksh 1 million in just 3 months. Who does that?

Drunk Omosh

Anyway, just to prove how much he thinks his fans are dumb; the actor recently went on an interview where he opened up about not receiving any money pledged by fans.

Kenyans troll Omosh

According to the guy, all he got were promises but no money at the end; he went on to claim that the little he got was spent paying his debts…but this is not the case – that is judging from the latest video shared by Edgar Obare.

Anyway seeing that Omosh is all about getting easy money; KoT have not only gone ahead to troll the guy but have come up with some of the best  and hilarious memes we have seen all year.

Below are just a few screenshots from Twitter showing how KoT handled Omosh.

“Bibi ako worse” Neighbor exposes Omosh Kizangila’s alcoholic wife

We have talked so much about Omosh and  so far it’s clear to see that the guy is an alcoholic.

We could have however not found out about this until his recent videos; where he pleaded with Kenyans to step in as he was stuck again; barely 3 months after receiving close to Ksh 1 million donated by Kenyans.

Omosh caught on camera in May,2021 drunk as a skunk

What surprised many Kenyans is how he handled his recent interview where he demanded funds from fans; adding a little attitude for those who did not feel like helping him out.

Kenyans trolls Omosh

Well, like they say Nairobi ni shamba la mawe…meaning you either hustle or get hustled and this time around Omosh thought his tricks would favor him.

Barely hours after his interview, Omosh once again recorded a new video where he called out his critics; and in less than 24 hours, Edgar Obare unveiled a never seen video of how Omosh squandered his money on liquor.

Former actor, Omosh

On the video, the fella appears to be so drunk that he could not support himself; and to make matters worse…the kiongozi was in a suit and quite expensive looking shoes.

Neighbor speaks

With the video circulating all over social media, a certain follower of Edgar Obare; decided to share more information about the life Omosh and ‘wife’ live back in ghetto.

According to the source, Omosh apparently drinks more responsibily that is if you compare him with alleged ‘wife.’ The fan wrote;

Not quite sure how true this is about the alleged alcoholic wife; but having shared footage of a drunk Omosh makes us assume that the story could have some truth to it.

Drunk as a skunk! This is how Omosh spent Ksh1 million charity funds (New video)

Tahidi High actor Omosh must have celebrated after receiving charity funds (Ksh 1 million) given to him by fans and of course a few celebrities including MP, Alinur.

I’m guessing their aim was to help build the former actor who went completely broke after TV series Tahidi High came to an end.

Drunk Omosh

For a minute the selfless gesture left Omosh in tears while on an interview done on national TV. The actor went on to assure Kenyans that he would bounce back on his feet; but turns out we read him wrong.

At this point I believe that he may have been brought to tears by the the thought of how many beers; or whiskey, Vodka he would buy with Ksh 1 million – and of course the feeling overwhelmed him.

Drunk in broad daylight

Well, if you happened to check out a video of a drunk Omosh posted on IG gossip tabloid; then you’ll definitely think that is nothing compared to the latest one shared by Edgar Obare.

Thanks to one of his students, we have managed to get a new clip showing Omosh quite intoxicated; to a point where the veteran actor cannot walk on his own.

Omosh caught on camera in May,2021 drunk as a skunk

Judging from Obare’s page, we understand the video was taken just a few weeks ago; before Omosh came back begging barely 3 months after squandering his charity funds.

At this point it’s also evident that Omosh is in need of a rehab; and although Kenyans claim to be done with him – how about he gets some help?

Watch the video below courtesy of Edgar Obare.

“Tukutoe lock?” Fans react after a drunk dazed Omosh is caught on camera borrowing more funds

By now I’m pretty sure the only thing former actor Omosh will be receiving from fans is backlash and not even sympathy.

This is after proving how much of a con artist he can be, after receiving massive help from Kenyans; who step in to help following his life struggles that included poverty and debts.

Unfortunately for him, Omosh figured he would turn this into a hustle; not knowing fans were closely watching him – after receiving the alleged Ksh1 million.

This is probably because most assumed he would invest the cash wisely; after years of living in poverty and debts – I mean had he not suffered enough after years of shining as an actor?

Worry about yourself!

However, turns out that Omosh did nothing with the money he received as charity from Kenyans. Rumor has it that he spent it all on alcohol and God knows what else; but all we know is that he squandered ksh 1 million in less than 3 months.

Omosh

Well, with no money – Omosh came back to ask for help; but unfortunately all he got was the harsh reality from his country men hustling day and night to buy him liquor.

Moments or rather hours after seeing that ameshtukwa Omosh recorded another video where he not only talked smack; but proved that liquor runs his life no matter what bloggers and fans say.

Drunk Omosh

Clearly like Jalang’o says, there are people who cannot he helped; and Omosh is one. At this point, I guess heading back to the village or rehab is the only way he will get help. But as for now, below are a few comments left by Kenyans responding to the viral video showing a drunk Omosh this past weekend.

“Si ati ni lazima” Omosh responds to critics calling him out for begging – months after receiving Ksh 1 million from Kenyans

Omosh has failed. Not just himself but fans and supporters who thought he would recover months after receiving massive support from Kenyans on social media.

Former Tahidi High actor, Omosh

If you remember well, about 3 months ago Jalang’o interviewed Omosh giving him an opportunity to shed light on his life after TV series Tahidi High.

Just like most veteran celebs, Omosh cried out for help claiming he has nothing in his name despite the many years he entertained Kenyans through the popular show.

Tahidi High’s Omosh

At some point, fans blamed those behind the show claiming they pocketed everything the young actors made back then; but seems like the truth is finally slowly crawling out of the lies told by some of these actors i.e Omosh

Begging for support

Barely than 4 months after he revealed that he was homeless after landlord kicked him out due to Ksh 150,000 rent arrears; Jalang’o mobilized Kenyans on social media to help the veteran actor; and for sure Kenyans came through.

As far as we know is that he went home with Ksh 1million and was given land and a house to help kick start his new journey.  But unfortunately turns out that he squandered the 1 million in 3 months; and he is back to ask for help.

Omosh’s parents

Yes, Omosh wants you to tuma kakitu….but boy – it’s going to hard this time around.

Addresses critics

Anyway, after hearing how Kenyans have bashed him for being (for the lack of a better word) ‘useless’ and greedy; Omosh says that the money he was given went to pay off his debt. Wait, Ksh 1million?

On the same video, Omosh added that helping him out is not by force as he hopes Kenyans will do it out of good will. But, he refuses to be trolled just because he pleaded for help.

So will you help?

‘Umezidi Sasa!’ Fans Tell Actor Omosh After Pleading For Financial Help Yet Again (Video)

A few months ago, former Tahidi High actor Omosh’s cry for help was sorted out by netizens, who contributed handsomely for him. Omosh was blamed for mis-using funds he got from acting by drinking alcohol uncontrollably.

Omosh-Google

A Cry For Help

But he still received a helping hand from generous citizens. He was given free land and a house was already being built for him. Omosh even promised to use the cash he got wisely, just to make sure he never begs again. In addition, Hon Alinur donated foodstuff and other household items to him.

Turns out, the help wasn’t good enough for him. Omosh has now disclosed that most of the funds that was pledged by people, he received none. He disclosed this in a recent interview.

“People pledged money that I have never received. I got less than a million which I used to settle my debts.”

Omosh’s Cry Might End Up In A Cul De Sac

Citizens have now reacted to Omosh’s plea, saying they’ve had enough of him. According to them, Omosh should already be grateful that he owns a piece of land and a house for free. He should now focus on the other remaining basics. Some have also advised him to sell a portion of his land if he’s not well off and start a business.

This time, they are having none of it; and it’s clear that Omosh will be on his own now.

Omosh looking to fit in the entertainment industry

After years of entertaining Kenyans through the Tahidi High; turns out that Omosh did not  save much as most of his money went to alcohol and of course the good life.

Years later he was reported to be roaming around one of Nairobi’s largest slams; and Kenyans always being supportive – they stepped in to help a brother pay off his house arrears that totaled up to 100k.

Anyway since then the actor now seems to be at a good place both in mind and spirit. Hopefully he has learnt from his previous mistakes and is now focused on making himself better.

Omosh shares how much he was being paid to act in Tahidi High while starting out

Comedian and actor Joseph Kinuthia popularly known as ‘Omosh’ from his role in Citizen TV’s program Tahidi High has opened up about how he landed the role and how much he was being paid per episode.

Before joining the program, Omosh was a garbage collector but in 2005, his elder sister Naomi Kamau told him to try out for the Tahidi Auditions.

“I worked as a garbage truck driver for five years until 2000,”  he said in the interview with Nation.

“Naomi always told me I had something special as an actor as she had watched me since childhood…I became ‘Omosh,’ a smart-aleck, know-it-all watchman and with my years working in the garbage dumps in the slums of Nairobi, I could not have been better suited for this part.”

Salary

While many actors in Kenyan have always started with a low amount, Omosh was lucky to be paid a considerable amount of money after enlisting.

“I was only getting paid 3,000 per episode, but I was giving the part the very best I could.” he said.

Tahidi High’s actor Omosh reveals how he struggled with alcoholism for 20 years!

Omosh is not a new name in the entertainment industry. The fella gained popularity after his appearance on popular local show Tahidi High that saw him rise to the top.

For years he kept the show going thanks to his acting skills but what many didn’t know is that he was struggling with alcoholism.

It was a couple of years. Over 20 years!

Just like any person who prefers to find solution at the bottom of a liquor bottle; Omosh dedicated his entire life to drinking which almost cost him his life. His health deteriorated and fans realized his secret.

Speaking during a recent interview with the Trend’s Amina Abdi, Omosh revealed that the only reason he quit was because;

I thought about my family, my future and also my health, I decided to quit

He always had money to buy a drink

He went on to add that despite being broke at times,  Omosh never lacked cash to buy himself a drink; what many refer to as ‘kutoa lock.’ Alcoholism had made him get to a point where he felt that his body wouldn’t function if he had not tasted it.

Nilikua nasota, hata nikisota siwezikosa za kutoa lock. I had to take alcohol to function. The good thing now is that being sober makes you be high on life.

He is however now a changed man with an ambition to continue pursuing the film industry!
