Regardless of one´s age, a mother will always feel the pain or joy of their child. Omar Lali was released yesterday and his mom, Aisha Mohamed Lali was the first person to set her eyes on the free man.
After 21 days in detention to allow investigations into his girlfriend, Tecra Muigai´s death, the Lamu Court set free the roughly 50-year old family man after no evidence proved him guilty.
Omar´s aged mother, Aisha, who had all along fought for the justice of her son after he became a person of interest in Tecra´s controversial, fatal fall, could not contain her elation after receiving him back home.
Mr Lali was released on a KSh 300,000 bond and two sureties. A decision the court arrived at amidst ongoing police investigations for several reasons cited by principal magistrate, Allan Temba.
