Omar Lali, the 54-year-old man accused of killing the daughter of Keroche Breweries Limited heiress Tecra Muigai seems to be be moving on slowly.
Having lost the love of his life in 2020 following what the DCI claims to be a staircase accident; Lali’s lover the late Tecra Muigai unfortunately succumbed to head injuries caused by her tragic fall.
From the information making rounds on social media, Tecra’s family did not believe the story told by Lali; And proceeded to find justice in court as they hoped Lali would pay for their daughter’s life.
However the case was dismissed as the DCI went on to claim that investigators found it difficult to link Lali to Tecra’s death; due to lack of sufficient evidence that can sustain a murder charge.
Moving on
Anyway it has since been almost 7 months since Tecra rested and Omar Lali was left loveless.
However thanks to a new post shared by one, Cyprian Nyakundi fans can clearly see Lali in the company of a stunning lady that has left the boy child in the comment section feeling quite proud.
Although we cannot romantically link Lali to the light skinned lady seated right next to him; but all we know is that he appears to be quite happy and contented.
Fans in the comment section have however gone ahead to congratulate Lali for having the best taste in women; while others went on to seek his ‘wisdom’ as they wish to be just like him in future.

DPP addresses claims of bias in Tecra Karanja’s murder probe
Just last week, a decision was made to move Tecra’s inquest proceedings to Lamu from Milimani Law courts, a move by the Director of Public Prosecutions that did not sit well with the deceased’s mother.
According to Tabitha Karanja, the decision by the DPP was “whimsical and arbitrary”. Raising suspicions and doubts that the DPP was acting in good will and without influence from third parties.

Additionally, moving the case to Lamu only meant that Omar Lali and his strong connections in the area of the fatal accident, would compromise the investigations, which did not feel right.
The DPP responds
Claims that the DPP has come out to address, rubbishing suspicions that any third parties are involved or that his judgement on the prosecution of those responsible for Tecra’s murder, is biased.

According to DPP Noordin Haji, it has been established that there is insufficient evidence against Omar Lali from the charges of murder. Plus, the DPP clarified that the fatal accident, having occurred in Lamu, then key evidence must be in the area as well.
“All the critical witnesses reside in Lamu. And should the case be instituted in Nairobi, they would be gravely inconvenienced,” stated court papers according to the DPP, through Prosecutor Everlyne Onunga.
Adding that the matter will be handled professionally, distancing himself from claims that he has interest in the case.
“There is no evidence that has been given to show that the DPP or any of his officers were compromised. Or that undue influence was exerted upon them to warrant the DPP to make the decision to enter nolle proseque,” stated Prosecutor Onunga.
Omar Lali was set free and reunited with his family following court proceedings on Thursday, July 16.
Fresh twists in Tecra Karanja’s murder probe
Investigations into the alleged murder of Keroche Breweries’ heiress, Tecra Karanja in May, have taken fresh twists following recent developments.
In a bid to get justice for the murder of her young daughter, Tabitha Karanja filed an application to have an inquest into the murder case, done in Nairobi.

The battle
In the company of her husband at the Milimani courts, the mourning mother through an affidavit, was surprised by the DPP’s decision to move the inquest proceedings from Milimani to Lamu.

Something she outrightly declined, terming the decision as “whimsical and arbitrary”. Thereafter, raising suspicions and doubts that the DPP was acting in good will and without influence from third parties.
“My daughter’s death us the most painful experience for me as a parent. We allowed the authorities to investigate and punish the crime but a number of things have happened which have made us lose faith in the DPP,” asserted Tabitha.
Plus, according to her, moving the inquest to Lamu, simply meant, that the key suspect in the murder case, Tecra’s boyfriend, Omar Lali would have influence over it.

Citing Lali’s massive influence in the Coastal region especially among boat owners, operators and beach boys, who she did not quite trust.
“There is real and well-founded fear in our family that we may not travel to and from Lamu islands to attend and participate in the inquest proceedings at Lamu, without significant threat to our life and safety,” stated Tabitha.
In the latest updates, the inquest into Tecra death is set to proceed after a Nairobi court dismissed attempts by the prosecution to block her mother from filing evidence in the case.

Sweetly recalling how a dear Tecra would clinch onto him whenever they were in public places, because she just did not love people. And whenever the billionaire heiress would walk on the streets alone, she would always look behind her and stop whenever she suspected malicious people following her.
However, after spending days, weeks and months together, Omar Lali slowly managed to change Tecra’s weird behavior.

Omar’ s reception by Tecra’ s family
The two had even visited Tecra’s home in Naivasha to introduce her boyfriend, Omar Lali to her parents, for the first time.
Unfortunately, unlike what her heart felt for the roughly 50-year old, Tecra’s parents were not welcoming of this love affair. Omar described how Tecra’s mom, Tabitha Karanja gave him a hard time, only to come across her daughter’s photos with him and immediately call him Al-Shabaab and a beach boy.
But Omar took it on a light note, owing to the fact that Tabitha was elderly and he was open to forgive. That right there, was the start of a rough journey for him and lover, Tecra.

Marriage proposal and scheduled wedding
It so happens that both Lali’s and Tecra’s families had met and had a sit down on the way forward regards the lovebirds’ wedding and happily ever after.
This is after the aging Lamu native went down on his knee for his youthful to-be-wife, Tecra at a beautiful waterfall, months after they met in June 6, 2019.

Photos of the children of Omar Lali, the man who has been detained in connection with the death of Tecra Muigai, have surfaced online.
While it’s no longer a secret that Omar was in a relationship with Tecra who was the daughter of Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja, very few people knew that he had children.
According to an online user, the 50-year-old man is the father of two girls named Sofia and Umi. However, details about their mother remains unknown.
Omar reportedly met Tecra in 2017 and convinced her to convert to Islam before he introduced her to his family.
The two lived together as a couple at a private house in Lamu until Tecra died on May 2, 2020.
Omar is being detained by the police as investigations continue. According to reports, he gave contradicting information about the incident.

He initially claimed that Tecra fell of the stairs before saying that she fell in the bathroom. However, both accounts are not consistent with where the first-responders found her.

It is now emerging that Tecra Muigai’s family were not seeing eye to eye with her boyfriend Omar Lali who was arrested on Monday, May 3, in connection with her death.
Reports indicate that Tecra, who is the daughter to Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja, had been living in with Omar as a couple for more than a month before she passed away.
Their neighbors at their apartment in Shella in Lamu revealed that they loved partying and more often than not, they would hear loud music being blasted from their house.

According to a source, at one time her family sent her brother Edward Muigai to convince her to leave Omar but she could hear none of it and claimed that she loved him.
The source further revealed that Tecra’s family strongly felt that the man was taking advantage of her because of their huge age difference.
Tecra allegedly fell from the stairs of the apartment where they were staying. She was then rushed to a local dispensary before being airlifted to Nairobi.
