Comedian Njugush has revisited his tough journey to stardom after he left Real Househelps of Kawangware show.

Speaking in an interview, Njugush said they had to endure a lot as he pushed to make a name in the industry.

“I had just left the Real Househelps of Kawangware show. I had no idea what to do. We got broke. We had been given a fridge during our wedding and we were using as a cupboard because we had no food to put in it. We were jobless, and we came up with this idea to record some funny videos and post them on our social media platforms.” he said.

Lost hope

He added that there was a bit of hope when someone offered to pay them for their funny videos but everything later came crashing down after the deal was canceled before even picking off.

“Someone offered to pay us for a series of videos. I could not believe that I could actually get paid to do that. So I sold my 32-inch TV for sh15,000, hired a camera, borrowed a laptop, learned editing online and shot the videos, only for the person to say that the client was no longer interested. I was crushed.

“We realised that if one person was willing to pay, even if the money was not paid, we could make some money out of it from other people.”

“While our days of struggling are a distant memory, I have this niggling fear of failure. That is what drives me. The thought of someone in future coming and asking, ‘what happened? You used to be so successful!”

‘We took a loan to buy clothes for Groove Award nominations – Njugush and wife

Comedian Njugush and his wife Celestine Ndinda revealed that going for their first Groove Awards event was a huge challange because they were broke.

The two comedians revealed that they had to take a loan to buy cloths for their first appearance given that they didn’t have any money.

“That is true. I had also bought shoes on loan!We were dressed up yet everyone else had come in their regular work attire,” said Dinda.

Njugush added:

“By then, I was already being recognised as a celeb. My plan was to dress the part and I asked my wife to ensure she nailed it on the red carpet. Can you believe she took a loan to buy a dress?! I wore a fitting suit.

That evening, we hired a cab (for the first time) with the only money that we had. I mean, we couldn’t arrive for such an event on foot! When we alighted, guys were just staring at us! Kumbe we had overdressed! It was just the nominations, not a red carpet affair.”

Regarding one of the most expensive things that his wife bought that shocked him, Njugush said that his wife bought a wig that cost Ksh 15,000.

“Her hair! I used to see ladies braid their hair for Sh200. I was shocked when she told me her wig had cost Sh15,000. I almost fainted! Anyway, it is okay since she wanted to look nice,” said Njugush.

No matter how much in love you are, there are few things, little things, from your lover that piss you off. No one is perfect and no relationship is also perfect.

Comedian Njugush has come out to share some of the annoying things his wife does that piss him off.

The comedian works with his wife Celestine Ndinda a.k.a Wakavinye to shoot his comedy clips and usually travels with her around the country for gigs.

In a radio interview, the comedian opened up about how Ndinda can be annoying especially in the morning.

“Mimi kitu huwa inaniudhi ni akiamka asubuhi. Mimi nikiamka huwa naamka niki tip toe. Yeye akiamka hawezi amka polepole na saa hizo hana kitu ya maana anaenda kufanya,” narrated Njugush.

He added, “She then turns on all the lights including those of the balcony, which she doesn’t even need.”

Pressure

The comedian also went on to confess that the pressure to showcase his family on social media and travel with them has been weigh him down.

“I have has to travel with the family even where i’m not supposed to because of my son. I’m always not settled when I am not spending time with him. Fans kept asking to see my wife. I can now testify that as a public figure, you can’t entirely hide your family.” he said.

After quitting Real House Helps of Kawangware, many claimed comedian Njugush’s career was over. It’s now almost two years and Njugush is still thriving.

In an interview with Word Is, the comedian said that people should always follow their hearts instead of listening to other’s opinion.

“When I left TV, the same people said my career was done. After my comeback, the same people are now embracing what I am doing. That is why I say, if you listen to people you will always lose focus, because if I listened to them, probably I would not be this far. To everyone out there, do what you want so long as it is bringing food on your table.” he said in the interview.

Njugush also added that he plans to sing more after recently working with Fena Gitu for “Sijaskia Vibaya”.

“I have more things to do apart from comedy because it has been my own journey,” Njugush told Word Is, adding that he will be singing more. If I decide to do anything it is all about me. We have one life to live and it is us who limit ourselves. I wake up everyday with a different plan since I realised I can do anything under the sun. he said.

Rapper Nyashinksi and comedian Njugush were among those honored by YouTube during it’s awards which were held yesterday.

The two creatives, together with Real House helps of Kawangware, Africha Movies, and KTN News, were presented with the Silver Play Button by Google.

Awards

The Silver Play Button Award is given to YouTube content creators who reach or surpass the 100,000 subscriber mark.

Other awards include the Gold and Diamond Creator Award presented for 1 million subscribers and 10 million subscribers respectively.

“Because of you, today YouTube presented me with this silver plaque for reaching 100,000 subscribers. Thank you all for subscribing to my channel, this one is for you ? also, big congrats to the other recipients on attaining this milestone in content creation.” said Nyashinski on social media.

Njugush missed the event because he’s currently on vacation with his family in Dubai.

The awards seek to celebrate creativity and talent across the continent including those with the most subscribers. It’s in its second year now.

“It was the longest two minutes of my life”- Njugush explains meeting crazy fan

Comedian Njugush has narrated how he met one fan who was unlike any other. According to the comedian, the crazy fan  was too excited when she saw him and even jumped on him which made them fall because she too big.

“Alinihug tukaanguka tao. Mama alikuwa mkubwa. Nilifikiria tu alikuwa ananihug so alikuja kama anakimbia. Whooo! I thought it was just a hug akaruka! Hee! Tuligonja chini. Pale Reinsurance Plaza. Ilikuwa awkward, lakini tufanye nini na tumeanguka? Kuamka hapo it was the longest two minutes of my life,” the comedian said in an interview with Pulse Live.

The comedian went on to add that he feels always blessed when fans give him such reception and shows that he’s working really hard and doing a nice job.

“It’s a blessing having those people because there are people in the industry na hawasumbuliwi na wanataka kusumbuliwa. It’s a blessing siichukuliangi vibaya. All you need to know is that the moment you get in front of the camera you sign off your private life,” he said.

Njugush surprises wife with new phone worth 85K before her birthday

There was a time when Njugush and her wife could barely afford a meal. The two have come from being just collage lovers to top entertainers.

Njugush took to social media to thank God for the blessing after he managed to surprise his wife with a brand new Samsung S9 plus that’s valued at almost 85,000 bob.

On Instagram Njugush and the wife also posted a lovely message for each other after the gift.

“I was so broke that on her birthdays I used to kill my family members bana ‘babe nimepigiwa simu kuna uncle wa cousin ya aunt ya cucu wa beste ya mwalimu wangu wa nursery amepass…….. Exams’ lol nisiitishwe treat aki. But she understood, the heart really wanted to treat her lakini mfuko ilikua petition. She told me because we gonna be together for long hizo birthday nitalipia tu loool and she was categorical that she’d want one of those birthdays iwe Dubai.” he said.

His wife also loved the gift and said that as much as he has been patient with Njugush, he used to push him in the past to get more jobs and roles.

Njugush lands lucrative deal thanks to Terryanne Chebet

Comedian Njugush has penned a lucrative deal with Fanaka Digital TV, an online TV station headed by former Citizen TV news anchor Terryanne Chebet.

On social media, the comedian shared that he has landed the show on the station that will see him host a business show dubbed Biashara Mtaani.

“It’s a deal!!!!!!!!!! Excited about this one.

The comedian, who started out as an actor on Househelp of Kawangware, has risen into a social media influencer who uses his Instagram to talk to fans through his jokes.

Comedian Njugush attacked by Kenyans after posting ‘rape joke’, forced to apologize

It’s rare to see fans clashing with comedian Njugush on his Instagram page but last weekend, the comedian was forced to make a public a apology after a joke backfired.

The witty comedian who lives off social media jokes, annoyed a section of his fans after posting a clip that many believed promotes rape. And you know how social media responds to such clips.

Apology

Fans attacked the comedian forcing him to delete the viral clip and make an apology for the video. The clip, which he shot with his wife as usual, has the comedian jokingly complaining to his wife that they need to go home together after he spent so much money on her after an outing.

When you are at the top, expect envious competitors to drag you down. That’s the message comedian Njugush is driving home after an upcoming comedian recently attacked him for allegedly stealing his work.

The comedian, who goes by the name JB Mole, took to social media to attack Njugush claiming that he has been stealing his jokes and repacking them for his 500k plus fans.

‘I am an upcoming online comedian called JB Mole and I am very aggrieved because I am really trying to get into the industry but one very popular comedian has been stealing my works and redoing them as his through his social media platforms,” JB said in an interview. 

Looking at the clips the comedian is claiming Njugush copied will leave you with a clear idea that JB is just looking for attention. To make matters worse, he has only six videos so far, Njugush has over 1000.

Njugush opens up on being a dad and the only thing he’s been unable to do

Timothy Kimani Nderu, popularly known by his moniker Njugush, was brought up in a very disciplined, religious family and in the process grown up to be a nice man.

He’s also now a super dad after being blessed with a baby a few months ago. The comedian recently opened up on how he’s been balancing work and being a dad saying that he can do typically everything.

“The first days kuwa mwalimu, cheza na yeye and you will be connected It is no wonder watoto hupenda mama zao because baba ni wa kuenda mashughuli as mama anabaki na watoto.” he said.

Njugush sends lovely message to wife as she turns 27

Comedian Njugush has been in one relationship ever since in campus. That lady, Celestine Ndinda, is now the mother of his child and the two have been working together to make Kenyans laugh on social media.

Ndinda has now celebrated her 27th birthday which makes it the first time she’s celebrating her birthday has mother.

Here’s what Njugush said:

“Happy birthday to me…this one is quite emotional….. turning 27 and mama theirs surprised me with this cake….for me it took me way back , 6 years ago when she wanted to surprise me with a proper cake,” he said.

“Small problem though, she couldn’t afford one…..so she went ahead and surprised me with a cupcake, she had borrowed money, 80 kshs to buy 2 cupcakes….pesa yake iliishia hapo so ata candle hakukua, aliwasha mti ya kiberiti nikablow.”

Comedian Njugush might be a funny man but he’s also a dedicated father. The joker recently took to Instagram to share the first photos of his baby.

The photos are so heartwarming and left many in disbelief. Njugush also made a nice post when sharing the photos, which included honoring his wife.

Njugush and his wife are undeniably the only celebrity couple who know how to keep their private lives off social media.

For weeks, many blogs kept wondering when Celestine Ndinda would welcome her long awaited baby; only to realize that she already gave birth to a baby boy 4 weeks ago.

Just recently he celebrated his wife’s birthday through his social media pages where he narrated how they met and how she always stood by him despite knowing that he had no money. Njugush went on to add that at times she would spare her collage pocket money just to make sure he had enough shopping in the house.

Njugush is a lucky man to have found a woman like Celestine who happens to be his wife! Just recently the lady turned a year older and to mark the special day, Njugush made sure to pamper her with a short trip away from the city just to have some alone time.

Anyway, this was however not enough as Njugush has now come out to express his love for his wife through a message shared on his gram. From what the comedian wrote we now understand that his wife has been by his side from the very start even before he became famous

Iv never seen a mgenge lady such as she . I rem one day she came to my kabedsitter pale transami, a neighbours’ laptop had been stolen.physical searches were being conducted house to house, now it was my bedsitter’s turn. Aki the caretaker aliingia akaona nikiwa na matress na stove only akacheka and said ‘pwaahaha hapa ata mtu hawezi ficha” After they left this lady laughed out and said “babe usiskie vibaya, hii nyumba siku moja tutajaza” Thats the moment i knew haendi mahali (also that’s when we started using ata sijaskia vibaya phrase) Yani nyumba ilikua empty mpaka i made sure Abel mutua never entered that house, alikua anaenda kuingia chochoro nameambia huku ni kubaya side mirror zinaenda kwenda lol so he would fret and anasema nitaingia basi kukiwa mchana, i made sure that didn’t happen.lool

For the conclusion he added to say;

For real she kept me on my toes. Yani i had to make it or make it. I haven’t reached there yet but i thank God so far. He’s been amazing like i can’t say enough. I don’t know if there’s nothing i wouldn’t do for her, including kushika room?. He who finds a good wife is blessed and I bet this is how actor cum comedian Njugush feels. Since he officially wedded the love of his life in a private wedding ceremony, he has not been the same.

Njugush seems happier and yes he seems to be throwing in some weight (I know it sounds unbelievable) but this can be seen in some of the photos he has been sharing on his social media pages.

Well, I recently bumped into a photo of the comedian hanging out with DJ Soxxy but what caught my attention is the fact that Njugush is actually seen rocking a ‘beer belly’ enough proof to show that he has been on some good diet.

I cannot confirm whether the photo was taken immediately after the guy had lunch or this is his new look. But what I know is that he actually looked pretty good rocking the ‘Utambi’ as others call it. If you have not yet seen the photo, then check it out below;

Comedian Njugush must feel like the luckiest man alive. His career is doing quite well and his love life has never looked better as each time he continuous to show his online family how much he adores his lovely wife.

The two got married late year in a secret wedding that only saw close friends, family and relatives attend the ceremony. From what we hear the two met a couple of years ago and even though Njugush came from a humble background, this did not push away the woman of his dreams.

So far we understand how much the two love each other and unlike most men on social media, Njugush is not one to shy off when it comes to appreciating his woman through his various media platforms. I happened to bump into a new photo shared by comedian on his Instagram and judging from how he is seen looking at his wife, there is no doubt that Njugush married the love of his life and he is grateful to have such a beautiful woman by his side.
