Keep on fighting girl! Heartbreaking photos of Njambi Koikai in US hospital with several tubes inserted in her chest

Njambi Koikai has been admitted at a US hospital for over two weeks now. The former Trend panelist is putting on a spirited fight as she continues to undergo medical procedures.

She reveals that she has been in severe pain following the procedures. Doctors have successfully removed the endometriosis in her uterus, bowel area and ovaries but her lungs still remain a major challenge.

Njambi underwent 12 lung surgeries back at home that literally messed her lungs. She revealed that doctors in US told her she was only supposed to undergo a maximum of two lung surgeries.

“Been in hospital for over two weeks now. I had 4 chest tubes inserted and needed a walker to go to the bathroom and for physiotherapy. I will not describe the pain because i lack words that aptly fit what I’ve been through. So the endometriosis in my uterus, bowel area and ovaries was completely removed. The biggest challenge has been my lungs. The endometriosis had spread so much and the scar tissue plus the placement of wrong chest tubes back at home created this mess. My cardiothoracic surgeon here cannot believe all what had been to my chest and right lung area,” wrote Njambi in part.

Improvement

Njambi says she keeps on fighting because of prayers from people. She says she is now able to walk on her own breathe easy, talk and laugh.

“God has been so great. Your prayers are reaching God’s ears, heart, soul and mind. He sees and hears all. Thank you for all your prayers, love and support. We all focusing on healing and therapy. So the last two weeks have been filled with agony, pain, tears and more tears. But we serve a living God. 3 chest tubes were removed 2 days ago and i only have one small one left. I’m now able to walk on my own. Breathe easy. Talk and laugh etc.
I’m able to sit up, colour my books, listen to music as i thank God for every little thing He has done in my life. Your prayers, love and support are so welcome. God has blessed us with so many people who are taking care of us even when they shouldn’t. God is awesome.”

“Stop spreading lies about me” Njambi Koikai lashes out at Jalango’s baby mama Cheptoek Boyo

Njambi Koikai has called out Jalango’s baby mama for spreading lies about her. The former Trend panelist totally lost her cool after Cheptoek Boyo misinformed people about her progress.

Njambi has always updated the public on the progress concerning her medical condition. The public raised money for her to travel to US for the surgery and as such Njambi feels she owes the public explanation on her progress and everything concerning her situation.

Njambi felt offended when Cheptoek Boyo misinformed the public about her progress. Jalango’s baby mama claimed Njambi had already been discharged from the hospital in US after a successful surgery in her article on the Standard.

Njambi hasn’t undergone the surgery yet, she still has to undergo pre-operation procedures before surgeons can operate on her.

Cheptoek you are just lazy
Cheptoek Boyo

The former Trend panelist lashed out at Chetoek on her post on IG. She says that Chetoek is so lazy she can’t even read her posts on IG and share the correct information.

“She was just lazy to read my caption and decided that my surgical procedure in the States has already been done yet this was in Nairobi. You’re even so lazy to read my caption that you have lifted where I’ve said “Atlanta, here i come”. Avenue Hospital is in Parklands Nairobi. Surgery in Atlanta is slated for next week while i do some pre-operation procedures.

“Please share the correct info. If you need any info from me I’m an email, DM away rather than spreading falsehoods and really displaying your ignorance as well as lack of intelligence in this job.

“As a trained broadcaster, i believe you and your editor should be extremely responsible for spreading falsehoods. You’re the people messing up the name of broadcasting and journalism because of your laziness.
Do it for the love and not for the likes. @cheptoekboyo please verify your information before submission and not just writing for rave reviews and creating unnecessary buzz for your “buzz” paper,” Njambi ranted.

Njambi Koikai, Ciru Muriuki breathe fire on KNH CEO Lily Koros

Njambi Koikai and Ciru Muriuki are up in arms about the shocking incidents at Kenya National Hospital (KNH). The two ladies have expressed their anger and frustrations with KNH CEO Lilly Koros.

KNH is what US president Donald Trump would describe as a shithole. The hospital was put on the spot after  women claimed they are sexually assaulted when they go to breastfeed their babies.

There were reports that mortuary attendants at KNH prey on women at maternity ward. The revelation sparked uproar among female MPs and Kenyans at large.

How does Koros still has a job?
Lilly Koros

Njambi Koikai and Ciru Muriuki have voiced their frustrations with Lily Koros. The KNH CEO denies male staffers prey on mothers who go to breastfeed their babies.

“So. The CEO of KNH, a WOMAN, actually said that the stories of women being raped on the way to feed their babies are false…BECAUSE NO ONE REPORTED THEM IN THE SUGGESTION BOXES. And she still has a job. Let’s not even get into how stupid it is to have the maternity ward so far away from the nursery.

“Please note, this is the same hospital where patients were murdered in their beds. No one has been apprehended, no one has lost their job. #Shithole,” Ciru Muriuki ranted.

“Watching Koros on Citizen Tv….and I’m thinking why the hell is this woman still in office feeding us hogwash???
I’ll tell you how i lost a friend and some relatives in that Kenyatta National Hospital.

“This woman needs to go home. The management ought to be disbanded. She’s making this worse by defending herself. Btw she’s said there’s nothing she can do about the mothers on 3rd floor. So our mothers will continue crawling from 3rd floor to ground floor with their stitches and wounds,” Njambi Koikai lamented.

“I was suffering in silence” Ciru Muriuki opens up about her struggle with same disease that Njambi Koikai is suffering from

Njambi Koikai has been struggling with endometriosis for years. It turns out her former panelist on the Trend – Ciru Muriuki is also suffering from the same condition.

Endometriosis is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond pelvic organs.[sic]

Njambi Koikai has been spearheading endometriosis awareness campaign ever since she was diagnosed with the condition. She is encouraging women suffering in silence to speak about their conditions freely.

Most women suffering from endometriosis are afraid to open up because of stigma. Njambi aims to end all fallacies about endometriosis and also to implore the government to take action.

I was suffering in silence

Ciru Muriuki has opened up about her struggles with endometriosis. The former Trend panelist who recently went under the knife reveals she has been suffering in silence.

“@jahmbykoikai you’re a rock star for bringing awareness to endometriosis. So many of us are suffering in silence, faced with physicians who don’t really care. I remember one who insinuated that my pelvic pain was caused by an STD. SURELY.

“Anyways, I had a laparoscopic procedure yesterday to remove a large haemorrhagic ovarian cyst. I’m a little sore, but on the mend. We need a cure. We do. #endowarrior,” wrote Ciru Muriuki.

“Her aunt tells me she only needs 2M, 8M they will use to build flats” Family wrangles rock Njambi Koikai’s fundraising

Njambi Koikai needs 10 million to undergo specialized treatment for endometriosis. Njambi’s aunt however claims she only needs 2 million for the treatment.

Family wrangles is threatening Njambi Koikai’s fundraising drive. Some relatives of the sickly Trend panelist claim the money being raised will be used to put up flats on the land belonging to Njambi Koikai’s grandmother.

Close relatives are spreading malicious and damaging information

Njambi Koikai says close relatives who have not been supportive are deliberately spreading malicious information. She explains that she shared her journey from 2015 when she started battling endometriosis.

Njambi says her mom and sister have been paying her medical bills until recently when doctors advised her to go for a special treatment in America which costs 10 million.

“It has come to my attention that false information is being shared about the cost of my treatment. I’ve shared my journey from 2015 and the public is aware of this endometriosis battle. My Mom, my sis and I have met all our medical bills even after my grandmother passed away.

“It’s also quite disappointing to note that close relatives, who have not been supportive are spreading malicious and damaging information. It is with utmost sincerity that I came out to ask for help because thoracic endometriosis is a rare condition and the specialists dealing with it are in America,” writes Njambi Koikai.

8 million shillings has so far been raised for Njambi Koikai’s treatment. The Trend panelist still needs 2 million to travel to US for the treatment.

Sad! Lady busted taking advantage Njambi Koikai’s sickness to con unsuspecting Kenyans

Nancy Nanjala Nyongesa has been exposed for conning Kenyans using Njambi Koikai’s plight. The Trend panelist is in need of Kes 10 million to undergo surgery.

Njambi has been suffering from endometriosis since 2015. Her family has been paying her hospital bills for the entire time she has been sick.

The Trend panelist now asks the public to help her raise Kes 10 million needed for specialized treatment. Njambi’s lungs collapse every time she gets her periods and this can only be corrected through surgery.

Njambi Koikai

Kenyans have so far managed to raise 4.2 million for Njambi’s treatment. The Paybill number is 490681, Account no: Jahmby Koikai Fund, Phone no. 0721543239.

The con woman

A lady by the name Nancy Nanjala Nyongesa has been misleading Kenyans with false and inaccurate information. The lady has taken advantage of Njambi’s situation to con unsuspecting Kenyans.

She posts her own phone number and asks people to send their contributions claiming that the money is for Njambi’s treatment.

Njambi cautions Kenyans to be careful not to fall for the lady’s trap. She further implores fraudsters to stop taking advantage of her situation to con people.

“Please share this widely. Someone by the name Nancy Nanjala Nyongesa has decided to take advantage of my situation to con Kenyans. I’m not seeking to raise 20million as she states. The mpesa number shared is not my number. Thirdly, I’ve been quite open about my endometriosis journey since 2015. My family has paid all my hospital bills from then till now when we had to seek specialised treatment.
Please don’t take advantage of such a situation. It could really happen to you and you won’t know what to do. Nancy, you’re inhumane!!!” Wrote Njambi.

“He told me I’m living through generational curse left by my grandma” Njambi Koikai told to seek traditional healer’s help

Njambi Koikai is suffering from a condition called Endometriosis which makes her lung collapse every time she gets her periods.

The Trend panelist is in need of 10 million shillings to undergo surgery to fix her condition. Njambi has asked Kenyans to assist her raise the money so that she could travel abroad for the treatment.

Kenyans have been sending their contributions to Njambi, most people wants to see her get well. But there are some people who have also been mocking her.

Njambi reveals that a man (name withheld) contacted her to tell her that she’s cursed. The man says Njambi is living through a generational curse left by my grandma. The joker wants Njambi to forget about the surgery and instead seek help from traditional healers.

“You know ever since i came out as an endowarrior, so much has been said about it by some men. Men who don’t understand what women go through. Today as I perfectly choose to have a good day, it’s made better by ignorance. This man sent me a message saying that I’m living through a generational curse left by my grandma and he has contacts for a medicineman that will sort it out. To him endometriosis needs a cure from the medicineman,” wrote Njambi in part.

Njambi was so pissed by the man that she decided to talk about Endometriosis in a bid to curb the spread of ignorance about the condition.

“To all my endowarriors, awareness is important. We come from cultures that silence our pain and experiences as women. People need to be educated and informed about this. Just like AIDS and Cancer, we shall raise awareness. Men like these and some women need to be informed because before they know it your women could be affected.
Research. Learn. Teach and support the women.”

Kanze Dena pours her heart out to Njambi Koikai as she is admitted in hospital again after her right lung collapsed

The Trend panelist Njambi Koikai has been in and out of hospitals because of the two conditions she suffers from – Endometriosis and Pneumothorax.

Njambi was wheeled into surgery sometimes in February 2016 when her lungs collapsed. Fast forward to early September 2017, the Trend panelist was once again admitted to hospital after her condition got serious.

Last weekend Njambi was looking forward to attend the 19th edition of Koroga Festival, which was headlined by Fally Ipupa, at Carnivore Grounds but she got sick again.

I really wanted to go for the Fally Ipupa concert jana. Then I felt a sharp pain in my chest. Did my best with breathing exercises. My period is around the corner. My right lung has a partial collapse and I’ve just made it out of theatre. God is good as that is always the hardest part. So I asked my doctor how many surgeries we’ve done so far and he’s like I’ve lost count Jahmby. I have an amazing surgeon. Consultant surgeon Dr. Odula. Anyway this is to all my million sisters battling this condition, we will get a cure. We will get relief. God is with us and stay resilient. Last surgery was terrible and horrific. Today I pulled through without much drama.
Relax and thank God for your health,” wrote Njambi.

Njambi is currently recuperating in hospital. She engaged her fans on social media through Instagram Live on Wednesday October 4th where she explained everything.

Citizen TV’s Kanze Dena was deeply touched by Njambi’s fighting spirit, she penned a heartfelt message to her. Read Kanze’s message below:

“I suffer all these because of periods” Heartbreaking Njambi Koikai’s revelation about her condition

The Trend panelist Njambi Koikai has been in and out of hospitals because of the two conditions she suffers from – Endometriosis and Pneumothorax.

A pneumothorax is an abnormal collection of air in the pleural space between the lung and the chest wall [sic]. Sometimes in February 2016 Njambi was rushed to hospital after her lungs collapsed.

Njambi is currently recuperating at Avenue Hospital after she suffered from Endometriosis – a condition in which the layer of tissue that normally covers the inside of the uterus, grows outside it most often on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and tissue around the uterus and ovaries causing pelvic pain. [sic].

The main symptoms of Endometriosis are pelvic pain and infertility. Nearly half of those affected have chronic pelvic pain, while in 70% pain occurs during menstruation. Pain during sex is also common. Infertility occurs in up to half of women affected. [sic]

Njambi opened up about her condition on Instagram from her hospital bed; she also implored the government to be serious about women’s reproductive health.

Below is what Njambi wrote:

Yoh fam so right after sharing about my recovery process, I was taken critical back to hospital on Monday. All the water in my lungs hadn’t completely drained. Oxygen mask fitted because my saturation was low. Theatre in the night. Chest tube fitted and back to the start. Constipation due to the meds I’ve been taking. All these because of periods. Just periods. I’m not alone. Millions of women are suffering because of MENSTRUATION. Getting babies is not the solution because we know of mothers still suffering. I’d like to encourage mothers to young girls to start taking them to gynaecologists as soon as they get their first period. It is important for women to take charge of their reproductive health. It’s important for govt and the Ministry of Health to take our health seriously and reproductive health. I’d also like to share this with the First Lady who runs the Beyond Zero campaign. Many of our women are suffering because of endometriosis and therefore are not even able to carry pregnancies to full terms. The miscarriages. The mortality rates. I also don’t see any Presidential Candidates addressing our health sector or women’s health.

Imagine 170 million women are suffering worldwide. Our gynaecologists here have no better prescription other than get a child and the condition will go.

I’d like to urge other women to have gynaecologist visits every so often. This is a manifestation of all my teenage years as menstruating woman.

This condition can get you at any age. It can affect you even if you have never suffered from painful periods. We are consuming food high in oestrogen. Watch out what you eat. Watch out the perfumes you wear. Research about parabens.

Get closer to God because the fiercest battles are not given to the weakest.

God is lifting us.

God is raising a new generation

We shall continue to speak of His goodness and mercy.

Thanking my doctors. Dr. Gakinya @wagakinyas Dr.Odula Dr.Mohinga and the entire staff at Avenue Hospital.

Thanks to my fam and my FRIENDS.

I’d like to send a special shout out to Azi. Azi has been massaging and helping me with my breathing exercises. He’s helpedme to relax my muscles and get some sleep without anxiety attacks.
