How Uhuru Attempted to Postpone Daughter Ngina’s Wedding

Kalonzo’s daughter, Damarie Saada, was marrying her fiancé Martin Nyaga in a ceremony attended by both Kalonzo and President Uhuru Kenyatta. The two leaders were seated nearby, sharing smiles as the couple exchanged vows.

In his remarks, President Kenyatta expressed his gratitude for the friendship and solidarity from Kalonzo’s family, particularly noting his attendance at the wedding of Damarie and Martin in Naivasha, a popular wedding destination in Kenya.

Uhuru, while addressing the guests, reflected on his own daughter Ngina’s wedding, advising the newlyweds. In a TikTok video posted by MC Wakili, the President shared how emotionally challenging it was to let go of his daughter.

He humorously recalled trying to delay Ngina’s wedding, mentioning how he used excuses such as waiting for the COVID situation to ease, and how eventually, he ran out of reasons to postpone it, prompting laughter from the guests.

Uhuru also complimented the groom, Martin, for his good behavior, joking about how some men think they can take what they want without considering the family. He reassured Kalonzo, acknowledging the difficulty of letting go of a daughter, but offering support, saying, “We all go through that. I went through the same thing.”

Ngina Kenyatta, who had a traditional wedding in 2022, had her details leaked by Dennis Itumbi, who shared news of her Gurario ceremony. It was rumored that Ngina was engaged to Alex Mwai, son of the Karen Club’s General Manager. The event was highly private, with guests reportedly prohibited from using phones to capture moments.

Former First Daughter Ngina Kenyatta was recently seen in public for the first time in a while

Former First Daughter Ngina Kenyatta was spotted in public for the first time in a long while. She attended a listening party for singer, songwriter, and producer Ndegz.

In a video seen by this writer, Ngina was casually dressed in a grey sweatshirt, with her natural hair in a knot, and was chatting with a woman.

Ndegz is set to release his debut EP, ‘Mr Bull,’ on Friday, July 26. He shared the meaning behind the name with Anyiko PR, explaining, “The name of the EP is Mr Bull. It’s a nickname I’ve had since I was a child, given to me by my father and family. This project is a culmination of many unfinished projects.”

The Afro Pop singer also shared a behind-the-scenes look at his time in the studio with his team.

The children of the former Head of State generally keep their lives private, and not much is known about them. Ngina has two brothers and she married secretly in 2022, a year after giving birth to a child. The details of her traditional wedding were shared by the then State House Digital Strategist, Dennis Itumbi, who tweeted, “Ngina Kenyatta, Congratulations on your Traditional Wedding. Photos from Ngina Kenyatta’s private wedding surface online

Ngina Kenyatta is not only a new mum but also a new wife now that her bae Alex Mwai who doubles up as her baby’s father. The two welcomed their first child together (a daughter) in 2021 – something they kept on the low until the last minute.

Well, just like the pregnancy – the couple also kept details of their wedding on the hush hush as they exchanged vows in a low key traditional ceremony as revealed. Word has it that this was a red themed event where Ngina stepped out in a stunning red gown and so did her bridal team.

Being an important ceremony especially since she is the only first daughter – we honestly can’t imagine how expensive the event was; I mean, her daddy is the president after all right?

Wedding photos

Anyway despite trying to keep the event private, there are a few sources who managed to leak some information to the media about the wedding. When asked for more details about the wedding, one source said;

I am not in a position to tell you yes or no because it’s also private. Even the person who told you that…I don’t know…guys also need to give people their space,

Thanks to these sources we also have a few not so clear photos from the wedding, but what’s important is that we can confirm it happened, right?

Photos of Uhuru Kenyatta’s son in law surface after he officially weds Ngina Kenyatta

Sorry guys, looks like Ngina Kenyatta is off the market for good now that her boyfriend Alex Mwai – together with his people officially visited the Kenyatta’s family to pay off the bride price this past weekend.

The reason I say sorry is because I’m sure a few characters here and there felt they could still have a chance with Ngina Kenyatta despite welcoing her first child last year; but at the time she was still a girlfriend to Alex Mwai and as far as rumors are concerned – there were no updates on alleged engagement.

But Ngina being a private person bloggers avoided rushing into questioning her decision (have a kid before marriage) since we didn’t have any information on her love life.

Ngina weds the love of her life in tradition wedding

Well, months after having her baby – we believe that her parents got to hand her over to her new family during a private traditional wedding this past weekend.

This information was outed by Dennis Itumbi,  former state house digital strategist who congratulated the newly weds through his Twitter handle saying;

Ngina Kenyatta, Congratulations on your Traditional Wedding. May God fill your journey with blessings solidify your union with renewed love and importantly grant you a great family.

Hours later photos of the handsome lucky man who bagged himself a wife in the Kenyatta family then surfaced online.

So far all we know that Alex Mwai is the son of Mr Sam Mwai who is the General manager at the Karen Club. The young man is also said to have worked with Ken Gen before he became an Investment Director at Hesabu.

Apart from that, Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree from Dedham University in the UK; and ABF from IEB school in Real Madrid – meaning he is not just handsome but smart too.

In as much as he claims that he wrote the song when he was still in high school, it will definitely elicit reactions now that he has released it.

I really love this jam. Raj’s ability to infuse Kisii, English, Swahili in his lyrics amazes me all the damn time.

The song was produced by Lucky and self-engineered. The animated video helps you put the song into context. Props to the brains behind it.

The annual wild marathon takes participants through 21 and 42 kilometers of tough terrain alongside wild animals with all proceeds directed to replenishing the endangered animal sanctuary.

How Ngina Kenyatta lost photo opportunity with Rick Ross despite asking stage manager to make it happen

First daughter Ngina Kenyatta, her uncle Jomo Gecaga and aunt Nana Gecaga were among Nairobi revelers who went to Carnivore grounds for Rick Ross’ concert.

The first family bought out the VVIP tent which was located next to the backstage. The VVIP guests were the closest to the American rapper but unfortunately Rozay didn’t have time to rub shoulders with them.

The American rapper walked straight to the stage the moment he arrived at Carnivore. This was contrary to the expectation of the VVIPs who paid a lot to be close to Rozay.

Request thwarted

The first family sent word via their security detail to the stage manager to make plans for Rick Ross to have a brief photo session with them.

The stage manager however couldn’t make it happen because the request had not been factored into Rozay’s stage itinerary. Rick Ross was also whisked away to his hotel room after his show was over denying the VVIPs another chance to rub shoulders with him.

Ngina Kenyatta steps out with a designer handbag worth Ksh 144,000 (Photo)

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s daughter Ngina Kenyatta is one of the most chilled out ‘celebrity’ we have come across in the country. She also happens to be one lady who enjoys party and this is normal since her age allows it.

Away from that we now also understand that she loves to carry designer bags and wear designer clothes despite her simple look. She was recently photographed carrying a Brown and tobacco Damier Ebene coated canvas Louis Vuitton Duomo hobo, mocha leather trim with a single flat shoulder strap said to cost around $1445.

Being the first daughter we don’t really expect her to carry around knock off meaning that her bag could be original.

The lady is also seen posing with a friend on the photo and judging from the environment, seems that they had met up for a meeting or coffee and the smile Ngina is flashing makes her look more like her mother.

5 photos that prove Ngina Kenyatta is ripe for marriage

We don’t know who Ngina Kenyatta is dating. Hell! We don’t even know whether she is seeing anyone. But we definately know Ngina Kenyatta is ripe for marriage, that we can prove.

In African traditional setting, mothers usually prepare their daughters for marriage by teaching them the basic like preparing food and taking care of the baby etc.

Ngina Kenyatta passed these tests with flying colors; First Lady Margaret Kenyatta tagged her along when she visited a rural village in Kapenguria, West Pokot county and put her through these tests.

On Friday September 15th, Ngina and her mother visited the Machario homestead at Mnagei Ward in Katumok Village where she received vital baby caring and food preparation lessons.

The First daughter joined her mother and their host to shell maize which was used to prepare githeri for the family.

The First Lady was also seen giving Ngina instructions on how to put a baby safely to sleep on the bed without waking it up.

Photos of Ngina holding a baby gently and putting it in a bed under mosquito net went viral online after her mother shared them on social media.
