In episode 2 of *Hey Girl*, Mungai Eve and her co-host Liz Jackson addressed Sarah Kabu’s recent remark that “women should not leave a man because of cheating,” expressing their view that such thinking is outdated.
Eve and Liz argued that the expectation to stay in a relationship despite infidelity is no longer relevant. They noted that, in past generations, marriage often came with the idea that “Mwanamke ni kuvumilia kwenye ndoa” (a woman must endure in marriage). However, they believe modern relationships have moved beyond this expectation.

Eve shared that her mother once upheld patience in marriage, advising her to endure and wait for improvement. However, Eve says she has since helped her mother embrace a different perspective. “My mom would often say to tolerate issues in a relationship and stay calm, but now I’ve empowered her to realize it’s about being in a happy marriage,” Eve explained.
Guest Eric Omondi shared his experience growing up with his father, who had five wives, with his mother being the fourth. This family structure led him to believe men were naturally inclined toward polygamy.
“I’ve observed men, from my dad to my uncles, and it shaped my belief that men are inherently polygamous,” Omondi stated.

Mungai Eve reveals she had someone else in mind prior to her breakup with Trevor.
Eve, however, disagreed, saying she believes men are polygamous by choice, not by nature. “In my view, men choose polygamy because they have the ability to resist if they’re committed to someone,” she remarked.
Omondi also shared his intent to focus on his one child, aiming to provide the best life possible. “I feel good knowing my child will receive the best of the best,” he added.
