The death of Mowzey Radio has affected many who benefited from his philanthropy. The Ugandan singer died on February 1st 2018 after being attacked at a bar.
Mowzey Radio started a charity organization in 2015 to help needy children. The singer partnered with St Maria Goretti Primary School in Buziga to help children from poor backgrounds.
The fallen singer helped pupils with school necessities before he took full responsibility of the school a year later. He provided food and salaries for the teachers at the school.

School closed
Goretti primary has closed its doors to needy pupils, after the demise of Mowzey there was totally no one to provide for the pupils and teachers since most of the pupils were accessing the school and its resources at a free cost.
Furthermore, the school structures are set to be demolished after the land was allegedly grabbed by one of the rich residents of the area.
Mowzey Radio’s alleged killer Godfrey Wamala popularly known as Troy was on Monday June 18th committed to High Court for trial.
Wamala has been in police custody ever since he was arrested sometimes in February. State Prosecutor Julius Muhiirwe on Monday informed Entebbe Court Chief Magistrate Susan Okeni that investigations into Wamala’s case were complete and that he had instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to send him to the trial court.

The prosecutor told the court that they had gathered enough evidence to pin Wamala to the death of Mowzey Radio. The evidence indicates that Mowzey allegedly poured alcohol on some people before a certain Pamela Musimire and another person only identified as Ategeka intervened by taking Radio out of the bar.
Wamala started assaulting Mowzey soon after he was escorted out of the bar. The bouncer then fled to Kyengera until February 4th 2018 when he heard about Mowzey Radio’s death and handed himself to police.
Wamala is currently being remanded at Kigo Prison until the court session.
Mowzey Radio’s mother Jane Kasubo has told members of the press that her family is being threatened by unknown persons who want to cause them harm.
Ms Kasubo members of her family have been death receiving threats from unknown callers. She is calling on president Yoweri Museveni to intervene.
“We don’t know what is going on. They have threatened to monitor our movements and gun us down. Please come to your rescue President Museveni”, said Jane Kasubo.

Slow pace of litigation
The family is also frustrated by the slow court process which is taking ages to conclude. Ms Kasubo also wants other suspects implicated in the death of her son to be produced in court.
Currently only key suspect Godfrey Wamala (who is in the custody of police) has been appearing in court.

The late Mowzey Radio is survived by three children. The Ugandan dancehall star died on February 1st 2018 after being assaulted at a bar in Entebbe.
Mowzey fathered two children ( a boy and a girl) with ex wife Lillian Mbabazi and a son with Caucasian ex lover Karen Gammeltoft.

Football academy
Karen currently lives in Copenhagen, Denmark with her son Theo Kingsley Ssekibogo. Mowzey’s son has joined a leading football academy in Europe.
Theo’s mother shared her son’s photo training at the football academy. She couldn’t hide her joy seeing Theo actualizing his dream of becoming a footballer.

Weasel caused a stir as he went back to Mowzey Radio’s grave. The singer carried roses, bottles of wine and camera crew during his visit to Mowzey’s home village.
Mowzey Radio was buried on February 3rd 2018 in Kagga village, Nakawuka, some 25km from Kampala. The Ugandan singer died at Case Hospital in Kampala while undergoing treatment for injuries suffered during a bar fight in Entebbe.
Mowzey’s music partner has been unable to move on after his death. Weasel has still been posting photos of Mowzey in their joint Instagram account.

Weasel returned to Mowzey’s grave with red flowers and two bottles of wine to pay tribute to his fallen colleague. He is is shooting a video for Mowzey’s tribute song dubbed ‘Tokyayitaba’.
Weasel was seen in deep sorrow and fighting to compose himself during the video shoot at Mowzey’s grave.
Worldwide Apostolic Church leader has foreseen the deaths of three more prominent secular musicians. The preacher says he had a spiritual vision about Mowzey Radio in afterlife.
Apostle Edward Ssewanyana says Mowzey Radio is burning in eternal fire. The preacher claims he saw Mowzey trying to climb out of the burning pit in hell in his spiritual vision.
“I saw a spiritual vision as I was praying with Mowzey Radio aka Moses Sekibogo burning in hell. Mowzey was trying to climb out of the burning pit but a force kept on pulling him back into the infernal flames. God was confirming to me that indeed Mowzey died without Jesus Christ and was cast into hell,” wrote Apostle Edward Ssewanyana in part.

Apostle Ssewanyana says three more prominent secular musicians in Uganda will die before 2018 ends. He explains that the three musicians are devil’s advocates.
“The Holy Spirit has revealed to me that 3 prominent secular musicians in Uganda shall die this year of 2018 unless they repent. I saw in a vision that each of these musicians is being held on a leash or chain that is like a dog leash. Satan has given them opportunity to “freely” operate but he is making the leash shorter until they are pulled directly to him and then he will kill them,” wrote Apostle Edward Ssewanyana.

The apostle cautions that singing two or three gospel songs doesn’t mean that one is saved. He says that musicians must repent and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
This is not a so called “prophecy of doom” but a warning to the unrepentant secular musicians. This may be your last opportunity to heed the voice of Jesus Christ. God has no delight in your death but he will surely delight in your repentance and your use of the musical gift to glorify Jesus Christ.
“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I HAVE NO PLEASURE IN THE DEATH OF THE WICKED; BUT THAT THE WICKED TURN FROM HIS WAY AND LIVE: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 33:11)
However if you do not repent and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, you will likewise perish and burn in the fires of hell and the lake of fire forever.
“Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, EXCEPT YE REPENT, YE SHALL ALL LIKEWISE PERISH.” (Luke 13:4-5)
Singing one or two “gospel” songs is not the same as receiving and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. You must renounce your past and hand over your life to Jesus.
“That if thou shalt CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)

Zari Hassan did not mourn the death of Mowzey Radio and some people were bothered by this. The mother of five however has no time to please anyone with her actions.
Mowzey Radio was finally buried on Saturday at his home in Kagga. That same Saturday Zari was in Dubai attending her friend’s birthday.
The Ugandan socialite littered her Instagram with photos of Zodwa Mkandla’s birthday. The lady is Zari Hassan’s BFF from South Africa.

Ugandans irked
Zari’s fans from her native country were disappointed by her for sharing birthday photos when Uganda was mourning the death of Mowezy Radio.
“Am yo number one fan but it hurts to see u enjoying Dubai not coming home to mourn for our bro the Lamborghini hit make #radio vocal master,” a certain Kaytayc commented on Zari’s post.
Zari fired back at critics who were castigating her over her posts. In her reply she emphasized that life does not stop just because someone was dead.
“@kaytayc i paid my reapect on fb, i domt remember anybody’s life stopping when my mom passed on. I don’t get it when y’all always wanting to find fault when there is none when it comes to me. Did your life stop when Don and Mom died? Yep, i thought so!!!!” Zari ranted.
Mowzey Radio was finally laid to rest at his home in Kagga located some 15km southwest of Kampala city. Jaguar and Chipukeezy traveled to Uganda to pay their last respect.
Thousands of people thronged Kagga on Saturday to attend Mowzey Radio’s burial. Dignitaries, celebrities, fans were all present to bid Mowzey the final goodbye.
Ugandan celebrities including Jose Chameleone and his brothers Weasel and Pallaso all dressed in military fatigue at Mowzey’s burial.
President Museveni vowed to bring to book Mowezy Radio’s killer. The president’s speech was read by state minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda.
“I would like to assure the family and the mourners and all Ugandans that whoever killed Mowzey Radio will be brought to book. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the minister read Museveni’s eulogy.
Kenya represented
Jaguar arrived in Uganda on Saturday morning ahead of the burial. The Starehe MP-cum-singer was accompanied to Kagga by Chipukeezy who had arrived in Uganda earlier.
Jaguar was given the opportunity to address mourners at Mowzey’s burial. He praised the deceased and said East Africa had lost a great musician who will forever be remembered.

Rev Fr Deogratius Kateregga Kiibi had no sweet words to tell Ugandan celebrities who had gathered at Rubaga Cathedral for Mowzey Radio’s requiem mass.
Father Kiibi addressed celebrity’s flashy lifestyles and reckless fights during the mass. Mowzey Radio was killed after a bar brawl in Entebbe at a place called De Bar.
“Let Mowzey Radio death be a warning to others who want to die in similar circumstance,” Rev Fr Deogratius Kateregga Kiibi said during the summon.

Father Kiibi advised celebs to learn how to handle their fame and money and stop living wasteful lives. Most Ugandan celebs including Jose Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo, Weasel etc attended the requiem mass.
“Learn to handle life of fame. However rich, everybody’s coffin will be squared and not round. Nobody will be buried on an acre of their land. Even your own children or spouse will not mourn for you forever. There will come a time when they have to move on.
“Legacy are not the cars you have, the buildings you have or the investments that you have made. People are very important in anyone’s life and how you relate with people is also very important…Legacy is the people you inspire…Don’t let your money become a curse to you by spending it on booze and women,” Father Kiibi preached.

Forgive me for the truth
Father Kiibi also apologized for his hard hitting message to Ugandan celebrities. He said the truth must be said however much he hurt celebs with his summon.
“Life is important, handle it well. You need to take good care of your finances because today you may have money but tomorrow you will not have it. Celebrities just waste money and drink everything they get. They spend money on women. Why are you like this? You don’t go to church you don’t go to mosques what do you do with your time? You take expensive alcohol but you are poor. There is time for you to change and use your gifts for good. When God is first in your life, you will never be last. God is the only one who can help all of us. Turn to him and use your gifts well. I am a priest in the church and those who are angry with me, please forgive me but the truth has to be said.”
Mowzey Radio was not a military man but his corpse will be buried in a military fatigue. The fallen singer wished to be buried like a soldier.
Mowzey Radio preferred to be called a ‘soldier’ when he was still alive. His family will honor him by burying him dressed in a military fatigue.

Lillian, a popular singer in Uganda, preferred her baby daddy’s body dressed in a black suit, particularly the one he wore at the Nakudata concert in honor of their breakthrough song.
Mowzey Radio died before he completed his projects. The fallen singer was putting up a palatial residence in Entebbe at the time of his death.
Mowzey Radio had invested heavily in property. The singer had build himself a posh house in the leafy suburb of Makindye in Kampala.

Mowzey named his residence ‘Neverland’ just like Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch in California. The residence served as his home and also studio.

Mowzey was putting final touches on a mansion he was building in Entebbe before his untimely death. The singer was from inspecting his house project in Kawuka, Entebbe when he was embroiled in bar brawl that got him killed.
Mowzey Radio’s death has shocked the whole of East Africa. Kenyan celebrities have also expressed their sincere condolences following the death of the Ugandan superstar.
Mowzey died on Thursday morning after spending two weeks in critical condition at Care hospital in Kampala. The fallen singer has been mourned throughout East Africa.

Jane Kasubo can’t express the pain she is feeling to lose her son in such a brutal way. Mowzey Radio died two weeks after he was assaulted by a bouncer.
Mowzey mother is devastated by the untimely death of her son who was the breadwinner. She spoke about her son during her address to the press.
“My son has been everything to me. He always gave me even the little he had. He always gave me the little he had,” Jane Kasubo.
Mowzey was building her mom a mansion
The fallen singer loved his mother so much that he even sung about her. Mowzey Radio recently released a song titled ‘Kasubo Jane’ in praise of his mother.
Mowzey Radio died before the house he was building his mom was completed. The departed singer was putting final touches to a house he built his mother in Entebbe.
Ms Kasubo says her son was a very generous person. She revealed that Mowzey was the kind of person who would share anything with anyone however little it was.
“My son paid school fees for one of his sisters until she graduated recently. I am left with nothing,” Mowzey Radio’s mother said.

Jose Chameleone was among the very first people who arrived at Case hospital early in the morning after Mowzey’s death was announced.
Chameleone arrived at Case hospital accompanied by his son. He urged artists to remain united in his address to the press outside the hospital. Bobi Wine was also present at Case hospital.

Meanwhile police had a difficult time controlling huge crowds that turned up at the hospital. Police were forced to block members of the public from accessing the city mortuary where the body of fallen Gudlyf member lies.

Mowzey Radio died on Thursday morning February 1st 2018 at Case hospital. The singer’s condition started deteriorating on Saturday before he finally passed on four days later.
Mowzey was rushed to Case hospital after being assaulted at De Bar, a joint in Entebbe. Dr Mariam Apiyo, who was on Radio’s case, recounts the singer’s condition since he was admitted at the hospital on January 23th.
“He was brought here (Case hospital) from Nsambya Hospital at about midnight on January 23rd. He was unconscious with low mental state with head injuries,” Dr Apiyo told the media in a briefing this morning at Case Hospital.
Brain injury
Dr Apiyo says Mowzey was bleeding in the brain when he was brought to Case hospital. She reveals that the singer immediately went under the knife to stop the bleeding in his brain.
“A CT scan showed bleeding in the brain and emergency surgery was done that same night to remove the clot,” said Dr Apiyo.
Mowzey was in a stable condition until on Saturday when his condition started deteriorating. He was put back on mechanical ventilation.
The singer’s condition didn’t improve since Saturday. Mowzey Radio was pronounced dead on Thursday morning of February 1, 2018 at 7am.
“He seemed to be making progress (after the surgery) and was removed from mechanical ventilation . On Saturday he was put back on mechanical ventilation because his situation was deteriorating,” Dr Apiyo explained.
Radio’s body was taken to Mulago Hospital for postmortem. Police are expected to charge the two people who assaulted him with murder once the results of postmortem are released.

Mowzey Radio had a feeling his time on earth was coming to an end. The departed singer released a tear jerking psalm on the day he was hospitalized.
Mowzey Radio was admitted at Case Hospital on 23rd January after he was assaulted by a bouncer at a club in Entebbe. He went into a coma but came out after successful surgery.
Mowzey died on Thursday morning February 1st. The 34 year old singer slipped into coma again after a throat surgery and he passed on in the morning.
Death premonition
Mowzey Radio’s released a new song on 27th January, a few days after he was assaulted and taken to hospital. The new song ‘Tambula Nange’ translates to ‘Walk With Me’.
Mowzey, who was a secular singer, thanks God for the provisions. He sings about his gratitude and divine provisions that made him who he became. He says that he owes everything to God.
Radio basically dedicates his life to God in the new song. He tells God that he is not afraid of the present and the unknown future for he trusts that He is the Almighty.
In the chorus, which is deep prayer of surrender, Mowzey asks God to walk with him as he seeks His guidance and mercy.
Mowzey Radio of the famed duo Radio & Weasel is still in hospital a week after he was admitted in a critical condition. Ugandan celebs and politicians have been showing support to Radio’s family both financially and emotionally.
Radio was beaten into a coma a week ago by a bouncer at a club in Entebbe. The ‘Nakudata’ hit maker woke up from the coma but he is still recuperating in hospital.

The singer’s family and management reached out to fans and fellow celebs to assist them raise money to settle Radio’s medical bills.
Museveni’s help
President Yoweri Museveni is among people who have contributed towards Mowzey’s medical bill. The Ugandan strongman donated Ush 30 million or Kes 844,885 for Mowzey’s medication.
“Thank you Mr President YK Museveni for the financial contribution of 30,000,000 ugx paid directly this evening to case medical centre to cater for part of Mozy Radio medical bill we are proud to have you as a father of our country long live .
“Thank you for listening and acting to the request made to you by Balaam Barugahara,bebe cool, Gudlyfe management Team and carthy kusasira up on the incidence gwe asinga Thank you on behalf of entertainment industry, friends and Mozy Radio family,” music promoter Balaam Barugahare posted on Facebook.

Jose Chameleome further claims that some people who are sending Radio birthday messages are just pretenders. He claims they are just taking advantage of the situation.

The irony is that Jose Chameleone himself was embroiled in a beef with Radio and Weasel for two years. Note that Weasel is Jose Chameleone’s blood brother.
The beef started when Weasel left Chameleone’s Leone Island Crew to form Goodlyfe Crew with Radio. Jose has since reconciled with Radio and Weasel.
