Samidoh’s Former Manager Resurfaces After Period of Silence Following Father’s Passing

Samidoh’s former manager, Moses Marite, has reunited with his family after remaining out of sight since his release from police custody. His disappearance coincided with the recent passing of his father, Kimani Marite, who died on November 21 at Nyahururu Hospital due to heart and lung complications, according to Marite’s sister, Teresia.

“I’ve Reached My Limit,” says Moses Marite Following His Dismissal as Samidoh’s Manager

Marite had been arrested and charged with fraud, accused of mishandling booking deposits meant for Samidoh’s performances. Upon his release on a cash bail of Ksh100,000, raised by family and friends, he went into hiding amid fears of confrontation from multiple clients who claim he swindled them out of payments totaling Ksh2 million. These funds were allegedly collected as down payments for Samidoh’s shows but were never communicated to the Mugithi star.

A close family source revealed that Marite, dismissed by Samidoh three months ago, had not visited his ailing father during his legal troubles. Despite reuniting with his family, he reportedly continues to live in fear of repercussions from aggrieved clients.

The fallout with Samidoh stemmed from an incident involving Pcash Lounge in Sagana, where Marite allegedly accepted a Ksh100,000 deposit for a performance that Samidoh claimed he was unaware of. Pcash Lounge’s marketer, Linus Marangi, confirmed that Marite had acted as the artist’s manager in collecting the funds, leading to his arrest after the club lodged a complaint.

Sources close to Samidoh described this as part of a larger scheme in which Marite allegedly accepted multiple booking deposits from various clubs without disclosing or transferring the payments to the artist. This led to his dismissal in September after five years of managing Samidoh’s career.

Marite was arraigned at Baricho Magistrate’s Court on October 22, where he pleaded guilty to the fraud charges.
