Teachers on conference in Mombasa warned: Prostitutes are eagerly waiting for you

About 10,000 primary school headteachers are in Mombasa County for the annual teachers conference in Bombolulu.

The teachers, who have been filling up entertainment joints after the conference, have been warned to be careful from a huge number of prostitutes who have also descended to the area to milk them dry.

Kisauni Deputy County commissioner Kipchumba Ruto has warned the teachers saying that the women have been waiting for them hence they should stay vigilant.

More customers

Club owners in the area have also shared that they are seeing more customers than their usual numbers, with most of them drinking with  female companions.

“We are witnessing a lot of guests since this conference begun. It’s something we anticipated for because when they come they like picking pretty girls to hang around with,” a bar owner said.

The conference kicked off on Monday, August 13, will last at least a week.

Man caught wearing 2 pairs of jeans, 5 checked shirts and 2 coats during Nakumatt’s ugly eviction

A few Kenyans scrambled to grab whatever they could in Mombasa on Wednesday after once popular supermarket Nakumatt was thrown out of Nyali City Mall for failing to pay rent.

The supermarket chain had a shocking Ksh 27.8 million balance.

Nakumatt was thrown out after a court order was issued on Monday by the Mombasa law courts. There was some looting as the goods were being taken out of the market to be auctioned by Makuri Auctioneers.

At least 10 police officers guarded the goods as they were being thrown outside the mall. Hundreds of residents and tourists watched in shock as yet another Nakumatt branch was closed in an embarrassing fashion.

Employee happy it happened

According to one employee, they are happy the supermarket chain was closed because it didn’t pay them their salaries.

“We have not been paid our salaries since September last year but God is God of justice; Nakumatt is paying back for the injustice,” the worker said.

Food was destroyed and a man was caught stealing cloths during the eviction. The man was contracted to help in removing the commodities from the supermarket but was busted after trying to walk away wearing two pairs of jeans, five checked shirts and two coats.

He told the police that he wasn’t stealing the cloths but just wanted to feel nice in them because they were expensive.

“Forgive me please. I just wanted to feel nice,” the man pleaded with the officers.
