Maina Kageni celebrates birthday in style (photos)

Radio King Maina Kageni yesterday 29th June celebrated his birthday but as expected he did not reveal his age but I have a feeling that he is now in his 30’s but from the healthy and lifestyle he lives…one cannot tell!

He is among the most loved radio presenters we have come to know and his career keeps getting better as he has full support from most of his listeners. Just recently he declared that he will be contesting as an independent candidate for the Nairobi Women’s representative seat and rumor has it that he might bag the seat judging from the number women behind him.

Anyway, to mark his new year Maina Kageni did not throw a bash but he seems to have stepped out for a low key dinner (from one of his pictures). He however shared a throwback photo to celebrate himself for the far he has come and also shared a photo of the gift Mwalimu King’ang’i bought him.

Maina Kageni’s advice to Lillian Muli after husband snatchers got on her nerves

Husband snatchers picked a fight with Lillian Muli after she stepped on their toes. The Citizen TV anchor however had no apology to make.

Lillian Muli hit side chicks where it hurts the most, and this was the genesis of the altercation she had with concubines on social media.

The Citizen TV anchor posted a piece of advice on her Instagram handle, the unfeigned message was directed to ladies who had extramarital sexual relationship with married men.

“When you date a married man and he leaves his wife…. you enter a world of lies. He cheated on his wife and he WILL cheat on you!” Lillian Muli’s message read.

“To all my little sisters out there having Babies with married men…better watch yourself,” Lillian Muli captioned her message.

Lillian’s post rubbed husband snatchers the wrong way, mistresses ganged up to troll her for the sincere advice she shared on her Instagram handle.

The pretty Citizen TV anchor however didn’t cow to their intimidations, she simply had no apology to make to the salty mistresses.

“When some negative people post Lewd comments on my page…stop trippin my posts ain’t about you. Read the paper or find something to do an idle mind is the worst form of self destruction,” Lillian Muli confronted her critics.

Maina Kageni was quick to advise Lillian Muli after husband snatchers got on her nerves. Maina told her that the hate spewed at her was healthy for her wellbeing.

Maina Kageni: I have learnt that haters are good for you.

Lillian Muli: @mainawakageni lol these people need to stop being so mad at the world

Social media goes wild after Maina Kageni announces he is vying for the Nairobi Women representative seat

Maina Kageni has given everyone a reason to talk about him after announcing that he will be running for the Nairobi women representative seat this coming election.

From what we all know is that the Women representative seat is only set aside for the the female candidates and article 97 of the Constitution of Kenya also confirms this.

However, Maina Kageni yesterday made it official that he will be competing with Shebesh and Esther Passaris for this seat. Just to show how serious he is Maina Kageni backed up his announced with clearance photos from the IEBC as he went ahead to say,

“For more than 10 years I have sat on air and addressed issues that regard women in Kenya, it started as a joke that I need to run for women Representative. Initially, I didn’t take them seriously but I realized the demand was real, after much thought, consideration and consultation with Nairobi’s women, electorate, I have decided that this is the time to make a move,”

Well, sounds shocking but this is something that the radio presenter can totally pull off judging from the number of women he has managed to win through his Classic 105 show.

Anyway, Kenyans on social media could not let this moment pass without making fun of the fella. Below are a few reactions from social fans!

Maina Kageni explains why he decided to vie for Nairobi Women Representative seat (Video)

Classic FM presenter Maina Kageni is facing off with ODM’s Esther Passaris and Jubilee’s Rachel Shebesh in the race for Nairobi Women Representative seat.

Contrary to popular imagination that Women Rep seat is a preserve for women only, Maina announced his candidature and provided evidence to show that he had been cleared by registrar of political parties and IEBC to vie for Nairobi Women Rep as an independent candidate.

Maina’s chose a wig as his symbol, he asked Nairobi voters to look for the wig symbol when they go to vote come August 8th.

The Classic FM presenter explained that he chose to vie for Nairobi Women Rep seat because his audience on radio pushed him to vie for that particular seat.

“My fellow Kenyans I wanna thank you so so much for the faith you had in me, for more than 10 years  I have sat on air and addressed issues that regard women in Kenya. And it started as a joke and people kept saying “you need to run for women representative” and initially I didn’t take them seriously but I realized the demand was real. So after much thought, after much consideration and consultation with Nairobi’s women, with the electorates and with supporters of Classic 105, I decided that this is the time to make a move. If we stay where we are we will never make a difference. And so I initially began the process of being able to be sure that am gonna be on the ballot. And the first place I went to was the registrar of political parties who dully issued this certificate to me as an independent candidate,” Maina Kageni said in part.

“Nitajuaje mimi ni gwiji kitandani” Man shocks many after calling Maina Kageni and King’ang’i seeking advice on how to improve his bedroom skills

There is no doubt that many Kenyans tune in for the Maina Kageni and King’ang’ani’s morning show.

Just recently a certain man called in to ask Maina and Mwalimu whether they would give him tips on how to know whether he is good in bed.  From the audio seems that the man was serious since none of the ladies he has been with has ever mentioned this to him.

This is a question both men and women secretly wish to ask but since most fear being judged or rather being told the plain truth… they then stay away from asking it.

However for this man, he left many cracked up as he went on to mention some of the weird things he has been told in bed that have now forced him to seek for help from the two popular radio personalities.

“Why are you wasting money building in gichagi?” Says Maina Kageni as he goes on to reveal why he would never spend a night in his rural home

Ever wondered why we rarely see Maina Kageni posting photos while chilling at his rural home? Well, this is because he doesn’t see the need of spending time there. Maybe just to see his family for a couple of hours then return to his cozy house somewhere in Nairobi.

The classic 105 presenter, made it known that he does not sleep over when he travels to his rural home and for this reason he does not understand why people always feel the need to build big houses upcountry. To him this is wasting money and not a source of investment.

Maina Kageni

Speaking on air the radio presenter was confident to say that even as a young boy he only traveled to spend the day then return to Nairobi that same day. He went on to say,

“Why is it important to build in mashambani, and why are you wasting money building there and do you honestly intend to go back and live in mashambani when you retire?”

He added to say

“I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve never spent the night in gichagi.”

Well, Maina Kageni is clearly not the type to build a home in his rural home because he has no plans of abandoning the good life in Nairobi for Ushago where there is no fun.

But do you agree with him?

Maina Kageni jumps to the defense of Diamond Platnumz after being trolled over broken English

Diamond was roasted by netizens who couldn’t stomach his lexicon, his post on social media was the genesis of his trouble.

The Tanzanian superstar took to Instagram to advertise his cologne – Chibu Perfume which is the latest product from his conglomerate businesses.

The ‘Marry You’ hit maker posted a photo in which he was showing off Chibu Perfume, he used 19 words to caption his photo.

“I feel incompleted when am on any outfit, without wearing @chibuperfume !….. @chibuperfume by Diamondplatnumz comming out this week!” Diamond posted.

Two words in Diamond’s post – ‘incompleted’ and ‘comming’ made him to be shamed online for murdering the Queen’s language.

Maina Kageni was however quick to defend Diamond, the Classic FM presenter reminded critics English wasn’t a measure of intelligence.

“Ebu we get one thing clear…. English is a language, not a measure of intelligence… congratulations, Diamond Platnumz on your cologne line…” Maina Kageni posted.
