Lupita Nyong’o: My mom was terrified watching “US” she watched with her eyes and ears closed

Lupita Nyong’o last week flew her mum and dad all the way to United States for the premier of her new horror movie “US”.

Her parents, Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o and his wife Dorothy Nyong’o,  attended the premier at the South by South West Film Festival and apparently were scared out of their seats.

“My mom was terrified watching this film. In fact, she watched with her eyes and ears closed so she hasn’t really seen it,” Lupita told American press.

Lupita confessed that she likes scaring people a lot including her mother.

“When she came from Kenya, I made sure I scared her. I lay in front of her bed before she got to bed and I got up like ‘Are you looking for me?’. She was so scared.”

In US, Lupita stars alongside Winston Duke in what has been hailed as one of the most thrilling films to be released in years.

Lupita was recently in Kenya for an investment meeting but managed to keep it on the low and avoid media attention. Little information about the meeting was shared to the public but it’s now known that several celebs including Jalango and Eric Omondi attended the closed meeting.

Photos of the meeting have also emerged proving that the popular actress was in the country.  According to different sources, the Oscar-award winning star landed in Kisumu at 10 am on Saturday where she was received by high security and county officials who had no idea who they were meeting.

She then visited a few places with investors before holding a private meeting with artists and entertainers.

Men who pick on women are weak and cowards! Yes I said it and this is what Gilbert Arenas is proving to be. He seems to always have something negative to say about Lupita Nyong’o since she is an African woman.

Just recently Lupita Nyong’o shared a photo from her recent vacation in Mexico where her black skin is seen glowing and the blue water in the background complementing her skin tone – however Gilbert did not feel the same way judging from the comments he left under the photo.

This time around he did not seem bothered with her skin tone but her face which he claims is ugly. He wrote saying;

“Everybody saying her skin looks beautiful, how about her face tho? Lights off”

He went on to add that,

“Y’all tag me like she got a face lift and she went from a 3 to a 10……nope she’s just a 3 in blue water with some blue blockers on. This is no diff then a ugly girl with a fat a**, I’ll still beat but just with the lights off but she is glowing tho.”

Lupita Nyong’o however got support from her die hard fans and fellow African women who could not believe that a man like the former NBA player still existed in this century!
