KRG Da Don has switched from being an artist to being an influencer

KRG the Don has finally stopped pretending to be an artist and is now fully embracing being a media personality and an influencer. And actually, I think this is more of a fit for him than his previous interest.

Money Can’t Buy Love-Why KRG’s Wife Left Him For A Broke Guy

For the longest time we have referred to him as an upcoming artist but if the truth is told you cannot remember your favourite Krg bar let alone verse nor song. And even his most popular songs was songs that featured other artists.

However, seem to have found success with his podcast as well as by being a social media influencer. Now or never KRG the Don speaks in this capacity we are forced to take note rather than when he tried to tell us about his music.

We need men in this space: KRG da Don is a bitter simp

And the best thing about the times we live in is that this is not seen as a step down from what you was trying to do as an artist but it is seen as natural progression.

Evolution is required for one to survive within Kenya’s entertainment scene and it seems he has finally wised up to that fact. He had struggle to connect with a musical audience and had struggled to create a fanbase for his music. However, as a podcaster he and Dufla’s podcast is proving to be a rather entertaining and captivating one.

Will Smith energy: No one is scared of KRG Da Don’s threats

KRG the Don has always moved the needle more when he makes commentary on Pop Culture than when he drops songs. Now that he has decided to focus more on that Lane we do suspect that he’s going to eventually break through and become an A-List celebrity Kenya.

Will Smith energy: No one is scared of KRG Da Don’s threats

KRG da Don is back to chat a lot of BS about what he intends to do should anyone ever say anything about the next woman he will marry and start a new family with. For some reason, he believes that he can scare anyone by trying to imitate the Will Smith energy and all we can do is laugh at what he is saying.

KRG the Don’s ex wife not playing, strips down to a bed sheet (Photo)

For you to understand what I am prattling on about, allow me to set the stage: Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock for a joke he made about Jada Pinkett’s bald head. The moralists and feminists are claiming he was defending her honour given she suffers from female pattern baldness so he was justified but the cuck is still a cuckold in the eyes of many a man.

KRG decided that this is going to be the type of time he is on with a comment and then later a post on social media in which he warned the world to be on their best behaviour the next time he introduces his lady love and Kenyans have shown him just how little they care for his threats and his chest-thumping.

KRG the Don on neglecting daughter he allegedly fathered with ex lover years ago (Video)

The comments actually back up every ounce of the sentiment I have towards him and his drama:

Verified
For my wife I would do even crazier things ???????????? next time I introduce my future wife to the public and then I hear someone playing with her name just know it’s gonna be a whole movie ???????? itakua #FullKisunzi
Bro ungeambia huyo makaga/conductor wa ummo mwenye akona wife wako????????????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️@krgthedon
@krgthedon bibi yako malaya watu wengi wanamfanyia crazy things????????????
@krgthedon ????????????????acha tutakiche ‼️utajipata 6feet deep
@krgthedon Ukona mdomo mingi tu
And at this point we have to pause and ask ourselves two questions: The first being, “Why does KRG expose himself to such shenanigans?” and the second being, “Why does he delude himself into thinking he is a beast when the entire country knows he is soft?”
The second question is the easiest to answer. Men need to have an edge of danger and unpredictability to them. We know this from an almost animalistic level of understanding. It is in our instincts. However, civilisation has tamed many a man to the point of them becoming as docile and domesticated as an obese Runda dog, even performing tricks for the amusement of women.
This is probably something KRG da Don is aware of as he watches his estranged wife, Linah Kiruthi galavanting with some of the roughest men she can find and it hurts his soul. So now he wants to change the narrative about him being soft.

KRG’s Ex-Wife Linah Spotted Hanging Out With Yet Another Man (Video)

And now onto the first reason: why does he expose himself to this barrage of insults on a daily basis. That is a more difficult question to answer. Perhaps it is down to him being a glutton for punishment and humiliation. Or perhaps it all comes down to him not being the origin of his thought process. he thinks what everyone else thinks about him is more important than what that little voice in his head thinks of him. However, that is something for KRG and a therapist to sort out.
Still, KRG is not that gangsta that we are all afraid of. He isn’t the boogeyman of the entertainment scene. If Khaligraph said he would deal with someone, we would be terrified for that person because he genuinely exudes that vibe. Not Bwana Karuga. And there is no shame in the fact. he is a father and businessman and permanent upcoming artist. That is where he should invest his energy.

KRG da Don needs to pay Amerix to mentor him

KRG da Don is down bad and there is little anyone in his social circle seems to be able to do to help him get back on his feet. If anything, they seem more and more with each passing antic they forgive him for getting up to that they are nothing but yes-men too scared of scaring away the guy they are parasites to.

Meet Mbogi Genje’s manager believed to be dating KRG’s wife, Linah

And that is why we are seeing the upcoming rapper/ dancehall artist struggling to let go of his situation with his estranged wife, Linah Wanjiru Kiruthi. And I don’t blame him for feeling hurt. On paper, he is the type of man any woman would be happy to have calling her his.

Krg’s estranged wife, Linah

He is handsome, he is of above-average height (the Kenyan average being 5’7″ for men) and he is wealthy, reportedly being the scion of a wealthy and established family. So what went wrong? that is the question KRG should be focused on answering but he is instead chasing his tail and sinking to rubbish antics, constantly trading insults with his wife (they are still legally married) and accusing her of cheating on him.

The rapper was livid when he, like the rest of us, found out that Linah was involved with Ochungulo Family’s Benzema. Now, it turns out she is currently with Mbogi Genje’s manager, a man popularly known as Elvis Makutsa aka Eastlands President.

Krg with estranged wife, Linah and a friend

Can you imagine that after all the praise KRG used to shower on his wife, all the lavish gifts he gave her, she still left him and decided she wanted bad boys? Ofcourse all that hurts da Don. It would leave you gutted too. But there is an opportunity for him to make himself better after studying the failures of this marriage and emerging a man forged in the flames of failure and made anew, like the phoenix from the flames. And the man to help him with this journey is Amerix.

‘We Are Not Struggling, We Have Endorsements’- Mbogi Genje’s Message To KRG On Their Beef

For those of you who do not know Amerix, he is a phenomenon on Twitter who has been counselling men and attempting to help them become the best versions of themselves that they can aspire to be. he is a life coach who teaches men how to train their minds, bodies and focus them towards the single goal of pursuing their mission in life.

Elvis with Linah

KRG needs that. Sure, he is a businessman who can boast a wide variety of businesses including construction but as a father and leader of his household, the head of his relationship, he is a failure. So perhaps he should reach out to Amerix to try and figure out how he can become the man his sons think him to be, the type of man other men want to be and women want to be with. The type of man whose wife wouldn’t stray from out of fear that she will never get a man of his calibre ever again in her life.

KRG da Don needs to learn to STFU about his family

But for that to happen, he would have to confess his ego and pride. He would have to accept that he has failed and actually give an honest and earnest attempt at learning how to improve himself. That means getting his diet right, focusing on getting fit then strong and finally becoming a man who is in control of every aspect of his life that we as mortals can ever hope to be.

Elvis with his clients, Mbogi Genje

For now, all we can do is pray and hope that KRG actually gets his act together. I wouldn’t hold my breath however if I were you. He seems to be enjoying playing in his emotions and the muck that is the feminine urge to throw insults at his ex and the men who are currently bouncing her on their laps.

Alaar! KRG the Don reacts to photos of ex wife hanging out with alleged bae, Mbogi Genje’s manager

My colleague recently wrote a detailed article talking about why KRG should stop airing his family business on social media. This is after he insulted the now ex wife, together with her sisters and even dragged his two boys in the mess….like Ozymandias said, what kind of man pulls such stunt…and at this point I am so tempted to say kwani sisi ni wanawake. No offense.

Barely two months after the article, KRG is back to discussing his ex wife Linah and we can blame it on Mbogi Genje. Well a few days ago netizens had a field day trolling KRG, after his ex wife was linked to Elvis – Mbogi Genje’s manager; and judging from the video and photos shared – it was only fair to conclude hawa wawili (Linah and Elvis) wanajuana kwa vilemba. Or in short, they’re involved.

With the story out, of course several tabloids tried reaching out to the dancehall artiste hoping to hear what he had to say. At first, he played hard to get until this past weekend when he finally addressed the issue.

I don’t care – KRG

Well unlike other exes who would be bitter over their baby mama jumping in the hands of an ‘archenemy’ turns out KRG doesn’t even care. Okay, wait….that is what he alleges but judging from what he says – it’s obvious to tell there’s some bitterness in his words; like woman why would you embarrass me like that?

Anyway in his own words, KRG said:

I don’t care cause one, she is out of my house and is no longer my wife so whatever she does outside there is none of my business. She’s a citizen of the country even if she wants to live with a hundred men, it’s her business. Life will catch up with her later.

Then again, he goes to add that she has no kids (the two boys) insisting that she only played the part of a surrogate…ouch KRG…and that then adds an important point of asking whether anyone had ever seen her with the kids since she walked out on him.

No, we don’t have kids together. She just produced kids for me. She has no kids. Have you ever seen her with kids? The kids are mine.

Cool down tiger…it’s just the anger, right? Anyway at this point it’s either they take up the drama to a family court, Wazee in the village or something cause clearly these two can’t handle this on their own.

KRG da Don needs to learn to STFU about his family

KRG da Don is someone who could do with a masterclass lesson in how to STFU and I mean that in the loudest way possible! And the reason I say this is because he is not acting like the man of his house nor the leader of his family.

KRG The Don Explains Why He Should Get His Dowry Back After Separating With Linah (Video)

I am saying this as a young man looking in through the window he has so “graciously” put in for the world to look into his life and that of his family. We should start from the point of stating that he revealed that he and his wife are estranged and bitterly so as they hurtle towards a divorce.

For some reason, he engaged in a rather public trade of insults with his wife whom KRG had previously been cheering on and gifting…. Aaaah! I see, this should actually have been expected given how publicly he used to celebrate his wife and their marriage aswell as how much of a show he turned each gift giving session with his wife, Linah Wanjiru.

KRG The Don Warns His Ex Wife’s Sister Against Visiting His Kids, Threatens To Expose Her

And in keeping with that same energy output level, he revealed that he was divorcing his wife and the reasons he has given have been garbage at best. He is constantly saying she started hanging out with “lowlifes” and at that point Linah fired and stayed true to the old adage that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned… Because she attacked his manhood and sexual prowess.

Krg’s ex wife, Linah

Just when thought things had settled down, KRG da Don decided to go on social media and issue threats to his sister-in-law demanding she cease and desist trying to make contact with his children, her siblings: the kicker is that her children and the rapper’s attend the same school. I know, it is clearly not “big brain time” according to his watch.

KRG’s message to his two sons following ugly divorce from their mum, Linah

The reason I say this is because he has not taken the time to take a step back from the entire bullshit scenario and tried to give it a proper “once-over”. Look, I get it, when a marriage breaks down, one party is bound to feel disappointed, hurt and even betrayed depending on the reason for the breakup. However, when children are involved or when one or both parties are celebrities, then discretion becomes an important tool to utilise throughout the entire process.

The reason I say this is that KRG is the head of his life but at some point was the head of his household. He clearly has no frame because when they split, he immediately decided to announce to the world the levels of intimacy issues he and his wife had been dealing with. He is meant to be the leader of his family meaning he is should know when to be stoic. He should know when being calm is what a situation requires and he should know to shut his Twitter fingers the F up!

Jiheshimu nani! KRG da Don is a simp

Why is he participating in the type of behaviour that would be deleterious to his children’s wellbeing? he needs to actually man-up and realise that his estranged wife is still crucial for the health and wellbeing of their children? They need to actually learn to fight away from the limelight but I suspect he is the one to initiate such thoughtfulness. That is why I am saying he is failing. He needs to take stock of his situation and realise that it is incumbent upon him to provide leadership on how they are going to move forward.

KRG has every right to be upset. He has every reason to feel betrayed but he needs to understand that the he needs to put his children’s wellbeing before his. If he wants to vent, he needs to go see his bros, his guys or whatever the hell he calls his close clique of friends. He needs therapy. Hell, he can put all his animus into music but he needs to stop running to social media.

KRG Da Don’s wife is delusional with her insane child support demands

We do not care beyond his experience being fodder for gossip. Keep what happens in his kingdom private. All we needed to know was that he and his wife were estranged following their separation. We don’t need to know anything beyond that about the civil war currently ravaging his fiefdom. Clearly he was very invested in his identity as a husband but now he knows it and he needs to focus on KRG as a man. He needs to be selfish but in a manner similar to what Ayn Rand espouses: enlightened selfishness.

KRG the Don

KRG needs to stop being a simp who identifies himself based on his relationship with the woman in his life. Perhaps that is the first step he should take as he learns to STFU about his family. Engage lawyers then shut the F up!

KRG Da Don’s wife is delusional with her insane child support demands

KRG da Don and his estranged wife, Linah are currently embroiled in a bitter divorce as the rapper seeks to repossess the gifts he had showered his wife with and she has finally made her demands for child support known- she wants 350K per month.

Alaar! Dancehall artist KRG the Don repossesses Audi Q7 he gifted ex Wife on her birthday (Video)

That is a ludicrous amount and I do not know who her lawyers are but she needs to get rid of those clowns because they are leading her astray with her demands simply for the sake of making a sensational demand that garners them publicity and attention at the expense of their clients.

Krg’s ex wife, Linah

Just so you understand why I am referring to Linah’s demands as ludicrous, allow me to share with you what she wants as both child and spousal support:
House Rent Ksh 160,000
Groceries: food, fruits and dry grain Ksh 50,000
Milk Ksh 25,000
Clothing Ksh 50,000
Electricity Ksh 30,000
Water Ksh 15,000
Toiletries Ksh 20,000

Linah celebrates birthday in style after ex husband KRG called her a broke ‘chokoraa’

I am surprised KRG was not asked to pay Ksh 70,000 for internet (home WiFi) and Ksh 300,000 for vehicle maintenance per month. These demands are clearly obscenely inflated as you can see her water and electricity bills -almost like she is running an industry and water bottling company from her home. It is purely greedy. Linah is cutting the image of an ungrateful and greedy woman and so I must once again ask, what the H.E.double hockey sticks are her lawyers advising her?

Krg’s ex wife, Linah

Now let me get to the briefest section of why only a deluded individual would think these demands can even form the basis of a compromise… In Kenya, the law was recently amended to state that (and rather wisely I must add) that both parents must contribute 50-50 (equitably) to the maintenance of their children. That means that if she believes it will cost her 350K to raise the couple’s children, she must also be willing to kick in 175K.

“Uza K*ma kama sister yako” KRG tells ex wife, Linah

Now, I am sure you’re wondering whether or not I am taking into account the fact she may be a stay at home mother… Fair enough but a man is not a meal ticket. You cannot use your children to ensure you get to live a standard of living you have not earned. Ask Brittany Renner how that has turned out for her. That is why I am defending KRG da Don with common sense -not that I am a fan of his music. Tudus!

I get it, Linah managed to land KRG, she had done everything right up till that point. She managed to get a young, handsome multi-millionaire and he would lavish her with gifts. But that was his hustle whatever it may be that has earned him that level of income and that lifestyle. She is not entitled to it merely because she allowed him to sire children through her. Asking for 250K without taking into account school fees is something that is offputting and I for one am glad that President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the 50-50 bill into law.

KRG Da Don: Why Benzema (Alehandro) should sue him for rapist remark

KRG Da Don had a rather interesting reaction to finding out the rather sudden and shocking news that Ochungulo family were breaking up. Rather than the normal reaction of shock or horror, he decided to congratulate the group for refusing to work with Benzema whom he alleged was a rapist.

‘A Rapist Shouldn’t Be Your Partner’ Krg Congratulates D’more And Nelly the Goon For Splitting Up With Benzema

The allegation is one that has been plaguing Benzema who even made a song about the matter explained that it was one of the most traumatic events of his life when he was falsely accused of rape. So for KRG da Don to go for this seemingly to the rest of us out of the blue is perplexing.

I found myself wondering why he would decide to take such an uncalled for shot at Benzema/ Alehandro and I thought that given they are both rappers, and hip-hop is simply a bloodsport, he was attacking because he had caught the scent of blood but then I realized that this is KRG Da Don.

ONE ON ONE: “Mzungu Bonoko akona 5K yangu!” Miracle Baby calls out KRG The Don

And by that I mean that he usually does this. He is something of a troll, he simply attacks other artists to keep his name in the headlines. That is why KRG Da don went after Miracle baby of Sailors. And while at the time I thought it was legitimate beef, this recent attack makes me think otherwise.

KRG Da Don
Sailors Gang and KRG Da Don before their beef

Sometimes, even I am wrong. And while it is a rare occasion to behold, it still does indeed happen. And that is why we are here today. KRG decided to troll Alehandro/ Benzema and i think he should sue him for the damage such an allegation does to an individual’s name.

KRG vs Benzema: Stop responding to everyone with an opinion

To put someone through that trauma a second time should be dealt with severely and while I would have rather told Benzema to physically handle their dispute (I am learning from a mentor I have that sometimes a quick punch to the mouth instils discipline), I don’t think that would be as gratifying as making him have to part way with some of his money in retribution.

Benzema is a creative genius but we don't say it enough
Benzema

And as such, I need to advise Benzema to sue KRG Da Don who has a penchant for ostentatious posts on social media. That means there is probably something he can get from the man as a way of saying pole and that’s a good thing.

Krg The Don Vs Sailors: Where mentorship fails

The rapist remark is one that can kill careers anywhere in the world but especially for someone whose career depends on getting sponsorship deals and other endorsements, especially since alot of the key decision-makers, are women and rape is a crime that disproportionally targets women.

KRG vs Benzema: Stop responding to everyone with an opinion

KRG and Benzema seem to be heading towards having some major beef. All this is down to the fact that Benzema aired his opinions about KRG da Don’s music aswell as that of Arrow Boy.

KRG the Don hits back at Benzema, refers to him as a rapist!

You see, taste in music is entirely subjective. What sounds good to one audience, one person or even one culture might not get more than a grunt of acknowledgement if even that. That is why you can’t really get used at anyone who isn’t necessarily feeling your music or your favourite song.

KRG

We are then brought to the point that perhaps it was the way Benzema put forth his opinions about KRG’s music. It actually came off as flippant and that might be what hurt the latter’s feelings. Afterall, they are both artists so Benzema should know how much of himself his peer pours into his art so perhaps he should have been less scathing in his critique.

Drama! Krg The Don exposed after stealing Kelechi Africana’s song (Video)

KRG however, needs to learn that not every critic needs a response. You see, as an artist, he has fans. They might nit be as many as those Benzema and his group Ochungulo Family have but all in all, he has fans. So why bother responding to a hater rather than fully focusing on the people who are interested in your music? Why focus on the negative so strongly and not the positive with equal fervour?

KRG
KRG the Don

You see, at the end of the day, Benzema was not wrong for what he said, you can use YouTube views as a metric for the success or failure of an artist’s music and on this one, he is right, he is ahead of KRG. However, KRG too isn’t wrong when he says that YouTube views don’t necessarily point to the success of an artist’s career. Money does and perhaps he has found a way to properly monetize his audience. Whatever the case may be, KRG’s response to Benzema mingled in a large portion of emotion to it which diluted it’s message.

Krg The Don Vs Sailors: Where mentorship fails

The best response would be for KRG to go all out on releasing songs that are arguably better and can grow his support base further. That is the type of response I would expect from an artist who has been slighted especially when you consider the fact that he should be responding through his work.

KRG

At the end of the day, what do I know outside of the fact that this response wasn’t it. I am more impressed by Arrow Boy’s silence. He is probably in the studio cooking up some heat for his fans rather than engaging in noisemaking. Or perhaps I have just spoken too soon.

Hot video: DJ Shiti, actor Shaniqwa, KRG star in Alvindo’s illegal song ‘Taka Taka’

Singer Alvindo who is behind the viral banned song Taka Taka is not backing down from Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) and it’s chairman Ezekiel Mutua push of making sure the song doesn’t hit airwaves.

The body banned Taka Taka saying that it’s a song that degrades women and shouldn’t by played by all the DJs and local media.

“The KFCB has made a decision to restrict the song Takataka by Alvin aka Alvindo. The song produced by Fast Cash MusicKe is restricted due to its obscene and degrading lyrics that advocate for violence against women by equating them to trash,” the KFCB boss said.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bwg3AImhU65/

Superstars

Alvindo however, said that everyone in Kenya has the freedom of expression so there’s no point of banning the song. He confessed that the song was something that happened to him and wasn’t meant to incite any violence. His manager, Eric, added that they spent Ksh 1 million for the video therefore it had to be released.

“The video is ready and we could be releasing it next week. We spent a lot of money on it. We invested over KSh 1 million for the video so it does not make sense cancelling it. Mutua banned the audio all because he misunderstood it,” Eric said.

The video has the likes of DJ Shiti, Shanikwa and KRG the Don.

Here’s the video:

‘Taka Taka’ producer fires back after Ezekiel Mutua banned song: Where were you when Alvindo was doing manual jobs at Burma Market?

The man who produced viral and controversial hit “Taka Taka” has fired back at Ezekiel Mutua and the Kenya Film Classification Board following the ban of the song on Tuesday.

Mutua banned the song for degrading women and summoned Alvindo, the singer, with immediate effects.

“The song produced by FastCash Music Group is restricted due to its obscene and degrading lyrics that advocate for violence against women by equating them to trash.” said Mutua

“Unakataa kuwa demu wangu. . Nakuroga unakufa…. Roho chafu kama ya shetani. Nakuja kwa mazishi yako kukula na kukunywa nikucheke ukizikwa…”

“‘Takataka’ is characterized by crude language that objectifies women and glorifies hurting them as a normal reaction to rejection,” said Mutua.

Jokes

But KRG the Don, who produced the song after sponsoring Alvindo, said that banning it was a huge mistake since it a source of income for the young money.  He called the move the joke of the year.

Here is what he had to say;

This is the best joke I have seen today.

“Where were you when Alvindo was doing manual jobs at Burma Market? Since you wanna spoil his career do you have an idea of what he should be doing to pay his bills?”KRG posed.

“This is a big let down to the industry at large for giving such big positions to negative minded people who do nothing to make our industry better than yesterday’s.”
