Pesa ni tamu! Kanza Dena adds a few Kgs after getting plum government job (Photos)

Six months have now passed since former Citizen TV news anchor Kanze Dena was named the official Deputy State House spokesperson.

Kanze stepped out looking elegant in a knee-length fuchsia pink dress during her address to journalists at State House, Mombasa on Thursday afternoon and Kenyans noticed one thing: she has added a few pounds.

On social media, Kenyans loved her new look and had nothing but love for the journalist. Many rushed to congratulate her for acquiring some new curves and urged her to stay on the that path.

Salary

Kanze Dena resigned from Citizen in June before taking the post which many speculated came with a 800,000 monthly salary. At Citizen TV, she was allegedly being paid around 250,000. So if these number are accurate, of which they likely are, life is good for her.

Kenyans had this to say

“Umependeza sana Kanze Dena. Natumai nitakuona zaidi na nguo kama hizo. Asante pia kwa kutupasha na mambo ya serikali na majukumu ya Rais Uhuru Kenyatta kwa wananchi. Tafadhali pitisha maono yetu sisi wananchi kuhusu uzorotaji wa uchumi. Mungu akubariki,” said an observer.

“Money is good kanze looks younger than she was wen in Royal media big ups my dear,” wrote Edwin Sianyo.

“Waah! Money talk… Kanze ameshona jooh! Happy for you… God bless you,” stated Purity Kadogo.

“Kanze Dena you are splendid in your new role of State House Spokesperson. Well composed, articulate, smart, engaging. I am sure you’ve the support of the whole nation,” said listonnjoroge.

The emotional message Lulu Hassan sent former workmate Kanze Dena after Uhuru snatched her away

Citizen TV Swahili news anchor Lulu Hassan recently lost her work mate, Kanze Dena, to the government after Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday afternoon appointed her as Deputy State House Spokesperson and Deputy Head, PSCU.

On Twitter, Hassan, who has worked with her for years, took to social media to share the new announcement. The two have had a solid friendship that has spanned over a decade on and off the screen.

Happy for her

Alhamdullilah !!!!!Mungu unajuwa mahali umetutoa !!!!!! RESIDENT Kenyatta appoints TV anchor Kanze Dena deputy State House Spokesperson; Munira to head Presidential Library,” posted Lulu immediately after the news broke.

She added later: MUNGU UNAJUWA MAHALI UMETUTOA !!!!!… PRESIDENT Kenyatta appoints Kanze Dena as deputy State House Spokesperson.

According to the government, Kanze is to spearhead and “take leadership of the core communications teams, including digital, messaging, research, branding and press.”

She posted this emotional goodbye:

“I remember us sitting and giggling nervously when the news was broken to us, that we were the top anchors in the country, 4 years in a row. 4 years of holding our breath, perusing through news of the day before going on air, holding frantic conversations and arguing on random things,“ wrote Lulu.

There is something about our profession that I cannot quite define, but I think it has to do with the fact that your real boss is the audience. And they have the final say on whether you stay. To meet their standards is hard work. But with you, the journey has been gratifying.”

“We kept this news all under wraps for some time because our WHAT NEXT was haunting us as days passed by and yesterday it just dawned on me that woooahh this thing is real …after working together for about 5 years and a few months …I say thank you God for you know what we have been through and how our past looked like…”
