Kameme TV presenter Keziah Kariuki has revealed that breaking up with her husband Kiengei wa Watoria broke her down to pieces and even made her lose her composure.
Kariuki said that Kiengei, who also works for Kameme Radio, broke her heart by marrying another woman even though they had a church wedding. She said it was one of the most painful experiences and tried to hide it for as long as possible. Her ex-husband is now married to Mugure Kiengei.
“It was a painful experience, sometimes I was getting ready for a TV show and I would break down. In other instances, I would be getting ready to appear before the camera only to burst out in tears and mess my make up,” she recalled.

Kariuki blamed their lifestyle as celebrities which made them cling to some people even though the relationship isn’t working.
“Divorce is painful but sometimes, you have to move on. Like in my case, my husband brought in another wife and I had no option but to move on and go through with the divorce.”
“I think the problem was that we both had celebrity status and each one will want to go out with certain people who may not be agreeable with the other party,” she said.
