Kambua: My husband is a businessman not a pastor

Gospel signer Kambua has come out to clarify a few things about her marriage and assured Kenyans she’s very much in love and happy.

The singer has been in the headlines several times in the past because of her union with Jackson Mathu. The two were married in 2012 and many claimed that Mathu was too old for Kambua.

People have also been criticizing the singer for being in childless marriage for so long, something that has been pissing her off.

“People will have an opinion over everything, over children. Today I saw a comment and deleted it because this guy commented on my Instagram and he says ‘When are you going to get pregnant, you’re getting old,” she said.

Happy

In an interview with Salaon Magazine, Kambua said that she’s happy she married him and also clarified that he’s not a pastor.

“All I can say is that I married the right man. I fell in love with him because he knew what he wanted and he went for it. I am enjoying my marriage and I look forward to many happy years with him.” he said.

Gospel singer Kambua enticed to cheat on her husband

Temptations surely come in different forms. Gospel singer Kambua was enticed to cheat on her husband by a netizen who was yearning for a piece of her.

For starters, Kambua has been a married woman for the last six years. She is happily married to Pastor-cum-businessman Jackson Mathu.

Kambua has been ridiculed and laughed at multiple times by critics all because she is yet to be blessed with a baby six years into her marriage.

Seduction

A daring netizen texted Kambua on Instagram to beg her to be his sponsor. The man identified himself as Vik from Langata, he also shared his phone number so that Kambua could call him back.

“Be my sponsor, I am Vik from Langata,” wrote the man.

Kambua didn’t take the DM lightly, she lashed out at the man and also warned other admirers from sending her similar messages.

“Don’t send me this nonsense!” Kambua posted alongside a screenshot of the message in question.

Kambua adds her two cents to Gerald Mwangi’s suicide, blames his fake friends for his death

Gerald Mwangi Ngima took his own life after posting a suicide note on Facebook. Many people didn’t take him seriously when he said he was going to commit suicide.

Gerald was obviously depressed, he talks about how he has had enough of life on the suicide note he left behind. He asks those who knows him well to attend his burial if his body is found.

Friends insulted him

Gospel singer Kambua is squarely blaming Gerald’s friends for his death. She says his friends should have offered him advice instead of dismissing his suicide note.

“Just catching up on Gerald Mwangi’s story. After he posted a suicide note, his “friends” insulted him and offered quick ways for him to die. After he was found dead, the same people are sending their RIP’s. And have also become forensic experts. Saying how “this doesn’t add up”, ” wrote Kambua in part.

Depression tell-tale signs

Kambua further says that most people who commit suicide usually seem to be fine. She explains that the tell-tale signs of depression are sometimes hard for someone to notice, but stresses that people were supposed to take Gerald’s suicide note seriously since he had shown signs of depression.

“Many people who commit suicide seem “ok”. They go to work. They worship in Church. They post cool selfies. You can easily miss tell tale signs of a depressed person. If someone you care about says they’re depressed, why not just take it seriously? Threatening to commit suicide is a call for help.#mentalhealthmatters
Tonight i pray for anyone on the verge of giving up – dear God, breathe new life into them. Surround them with people who will listen and love on them,” wrote Kambua.

Kambua opens up on being childless in her marriage

Gospel singer Kambua has been in the headlines several times concerning her marriage in which has not been blessed by a child yet.

During Mother’s Day she posted an emotional post sharing that it hasn’t been easy being married and not having a kid. She has been married for six years now.

Here’s what she said:

“I have debated ALL day about whether I should write this post or not??. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful moms out there. We love you ?. But I’ve been thinking about a special group of women- those with open hearts and empty wombs. Some because of illness, infertility, others miscarriage, and infant loss. Women who, beneath the pomp and flair, secretly dread #mothersday because it is a constant reminder of what they don’t have, what they lost, or what they may never have,” she said.

Adding:

“Well, I don’t have the luxury of living a “private” life, and have often been the subject of ridicule and mockery for being “childless”. Reminds me of Hannah and Penninah. You see, painful as it was, Hannah needed Penninah to provoke the situation. And God moved to show Himself strong in Hannah’s life. Beloved, I don’t know what category you fall under- the infirm woman, the infertile, the barren, the angel mom (just respond with a ?)… what I do know is this: God’s ways are good, and they are perfect. So is His plan for your life. Also, #motherhood is a great calling, but it is not the only one. As you wait on God to fill your nest (however which way He chooses), keep praising Him. With raised hands and an open heart. Happy Mother’s Day to you! I’m praying for you??. From my heart, to yours, K ?? #2018#ReflectionswithKambua #Mothersday.”

This is why gospel singer Kambua was forced to disable her comment sections on social media

Gospel singer Kambua has had different encounters on social media with her fans. In a long post, the singer explained why she’s trying to filter some of the things people say to her and why she has now disabled the comment sections on her Instagram.

Blurring the noise

The singer shared that it’s time she kills the different noises affecting her life and focus on what only makes her better.

Here is what she said:

“*Long post alert* So for the last couple of weeks I decided to disable my comments on most of my pictures. I know it frustrated some of you and I appreciate all who slid into my DM to find out what the deal was. Anyway, this is it. I have been feeling for a while that there are many voices in my life. Most, well-meaning, but still, many. It’s so easy to lose yourself even to the applause and admiration of people. Social media is such a crazy place I must say! One moment you’re crucified, and the next your praises are sang,” she said.

Adding:

“Whoa. Such a confusing place to be! I’m learning how to be still. How to be OK without the applause… without the noise. I’m learning that sometimes the voice of The Shepherd can be drowned out by other voices; by the wind, and the storms. And that sometimes The Shepherd speaks, but we cannot possibly hear Him above the racket. So how about you try it. For me, it’s the socials. For you, maybe it’s noise from somewhere else that you just need to tune out for a while. He is always speaking…are you listening? Love always.”

Anyway, Kambua has revealed that even with such rude and hurtful comments she continues to carry on with her life. Not everyone would understand her situation but she would like people to mind their own business!

First of all I need to tell people to mind their own business. When you’re talking about people you never know what their struggle is. What they are dealing with. We need to be more sensitive towards people.

Planning to have children soon

Just recently while speaking to Kiss FM’s Chito Ndhlovu, Kambua opened up about her future plans on becoming a mother; but as for now she is focusing on her music. She went on to say;

I know that some day, not today, I will be a mum but until then I’m gonna be doing my music and serving God in the best way I know best. We need to celebrate one another at whatever stage we are at!

Gospel singer Kambua forced to explain to prying Christians why she has a tattoo, wears lipstick

Some Christians are busy wondering why Kambua, a gospel singer who is married to a pastor, is doing with a tattoo on her body while the bible clearly discourages that.

“I love my tattoo, I got it when I was in music school. It represents what i do. Not everyone will agree with it but I say confidently that god found me as I was,” said Kambua on Kiss FM answering critics who have been question her fashion sense and the tattoo.

Ditch lipstick too

Others, according to the singer, are always concerned that she’s wearing lipstick or even a weave. The list is endless. She said that Jesus accepts you just the way you are and that’s why she’s never bothered much by these questions. The singer has a g clef musical sign tattooed on her arm.

She went on:

“It could be the tattoo, the hair the lipstick. I meet people who think if you’re a Christian you shouldn’t wear lipstick. The list is endless. My bottom line is that Christ meets you with grace. He met me and he didn’t say take rid of the tattoo, the trousers” she told kiss FM’s Chito Ndhlovu.

“I have moved on to other stories, these guys are my colleagues, we all make mistakes. Pastor Mark Kariuki told us we have to forgive and move on, and I forgave myself and anyone who has wrong me.”

Has he forgiven Kambua too?

Jeff Kuria concluded to say;

“I have respect for Kambua, even before I came into the industry, when I was growing up I watched her, listened to her music and looked up to her there is no beef between us”

Kambua the drama queen

Kambua vexed revelers and viewers when she decided to be at the center of it all. The Citizen TV presenter didn’t give other emcees equal chance to host the party.

Trouble started when Kambua took a mic away from Jeff Kuria. Other hosts just stood and watch as Kambua took over the emceeing job like she was the only host.

Netizens expressed their anger with Kambua on social media. Kenyans demanded an apology from the Citizen TV presenter for being very disrespectful to Jeff.

Kambua finally ate the humble pie after the pressure mounted. She issued half-baked apology on Facebook which made things even worse for her.

“I struggled with acne to a point where I lost my self esteem” Kambua talks about the nightmare dreaded by every woman

There is nothing as having flawless skin. Even those who preach it understand that 99% of women struggle with pimples that may appear occasionally (if you know what I am saying) and it is actually a night mare especially when one hits adolescent, we have all been there.

Kambua is among the most beautiful we have come to see but even with her perfect photos and well done make up… she has come out to reveal that she also struggled with pimples that made her confidence fade off at some point when she was growing up.

The gospel singer talked about this during one of her visits to a certain public school where she was among the speakers  for the #Always4TheGirl campaign which aims at demystifying conversations around menstruation and promoting girl child education. Through her social media pages she wrote to say,

I had always known beautiful, flawless skin until I hit 16! What? Pimples. One, then two, three, then ten! Like overnight they kept springing up. I was so confused. And so were the people around me. The “wajuaji” told me to stop taking margarine, stop eating chocolate, stop using “that” cream…the list was daunting, and endless?. My mom worried because my self esteem quickly took a nose dive. She created home remedies that worked for the most part but didn’t solve the problem because the root cause could not be topically fixed. I was an adolescent. My hormones were in FULL gear and they did not allow me the discretion I yearned for. My hormones announced to all and sundry that yes, my body was changing.

She went on to add that young girls should learn to eat right and have lots of water which is actually good for the skin.

I have not known “flawless” skin since. I don’t just “wake up like this”. It takes work! And a glam team sometimes. Lol?. But I have also come into my own, by loving who I am, pimples or not. Given that I take care of myself (eating well, taking lots of water, and using the right skincare regime). I wish that as a 17, 18, year old someone told me that the acne flare up was not my fault- it was not the chocolate etc, it was just hormones. I wish I knew then that a good dermatologist could bring my acne under control. I wish I knew that there’s so much more to what being a girl is than what she looks like…
