Kambua not yet ready to open about about pregnancy, mourn for those who can’t get a baby

Gospel singer Kambua was on social media recently to confess that her journey to become pregnant wasn’t easy.

The soon to be mother, as much as she’s not yet ready to share about her journey yet, said that she’s keeping in mind those who can’t carry a baby because she understands how it feels.

“My journey is a miracle whose details I still haven’t shared. One day I will. But as God continues to write my story and perfect what He began, let me share my heart with you.
I’ve been around long enough and been through enough to know that pregnancy journeys are not perfect- far from it. They are messy, hope-filled, scary, joyful, and just very… complicated.” she said.

“I also know that for waiting wombs, pregnancy announcements can be serious triggers. I have lived it- how you just want to be so happy for others but somehow your own grief and struggle overwhelms you.
But my years of waiting allowed God to deal with my heart. He taught me that He was enough for me, and that I was complete in Him. I didn’t know how or when God would turn the tide for me, I did, however, know, that even when it hurt beyond words, my trust would always be in Him.”

Journey

Kambua had to wait for almost six years to carry the baby. The journey has been frustrating. The years when she struggled to be a mum were not easy but she clung onto hope which paid off eventually.

“So for any woman whose pain was triggered by my announcement, I have prayed that God will turn your darkness into a spark of hope. I pray that your faith is renewed in knowing that His power knows no bounds. I pray that you find yourself whole in Him,” she said.

“Motherhood does not complete us; God does. Motherhood is a great calling, but it’s not the only calling.
If you’re on this journey, drop me a ????, I will be praying with and for you.
God asked Abraham, “Is anything too hard for the LORD”? So I ask you today beloved, “Is anything too hard for Him”?”

Maseno University student claim she’s behind Kambua’s pregnancy

A university student from Maseno university has revealed that she has been praying day and night for gospel singer Kambu to have a baby.

Kambua, after seven years of marriage, is finally pregnant and Kenyans couldn’t hold their tears when she took to social media to post the announcement last week.

According to Sarah Atieno Julu, she has been praying hard for Kambua. According to a tweet in May 14, 2018, and she declared she was going to set a Novena prayer to St Jude and pray for Kambua to carry a baby of her own.

”Am going to set a Novena prayer to St Jude, praying for Kambua, be sure you’re going to carry your own baby,” she tweeted.

Blessings

Julu added that she used to see how Kambua was frustrated online for not having a baby and vowed to pray for her.

“I used to see her face cyber bully. I’m a woman and seeing a woman face such due to lack of a child, it pained me a lot. I felt it. I wish I knew her in person. The best I could do silently was to pray for her. That was the best way I could stand with her being her greatest fan.????” she said.

Kambua finally pregnant after seven years of trying(photo)

Gospel singer Kambua is pregnant.

Social media is currently awash with congratulatory messages as the gospel singer revealed her baby bump in a lovely photo.

Kenyans on social media celebrated like she’s family because most are clear with how tough Kambua’s journey has been regarding starting a family.

Frustrations

The singer has been married for seven years now to Jackson Mathu and had been childless since then. This attracted social media trolls and bullying which always left her stressed.

“There’s nothing I haven’t been told, from you must have aborted many children, go get yourself checked, ulirogwa na nani?” Kambua once said.

“I remember thinking, the reason why it angers me is because people don’t even know what your journey is like. They don’t know what you’re struggling with.

“They don’t know if you even what to have children, they don’t know if you can have children and there are so many people especially today who are struggling with infertility.

“It so unfortunate that we become such a culture of being so intrusive and putting people down. Shamming each other on things like that. I would wish that people would be sensitized. I have people who are close to me who might not be at the fore front like I am but who go through that everyday.”

Kambua forced to explain yet again why she doesn’t have kids despite being married for years

Singer Kambua recently had to blast a fan who attacked her and inquired why she’s childless despite being married for several years now.

This is a question the singer has battle with for the better part of her life as fans have kept inquiring why she’s not a mother despite being married to husband Jackson Mathu.

She blasted a fan who asked the question recently, telling him to stop bulling her in the name of Christianity.

“Do not come up here telling me about Moses and overseeing commandments. You are not Moses. You are a bully hiding under Christianity, do better,” wrote Kambua.

“So you think because your avi is that of a baby, then you can sit on a high horse and tell me what the Bible commands about having children? Failure to which, what happens? I’ll go to hell?,” she added.

Trolled

Kambua has never really given a clear answer why she has never gotten a child. She has also been trolled for marrying her hubby who many said was too old for her. The two have been married now for almost seven years.

Kambua shares how her ex-boyfriend used to ruthlessly body shame her

Gospel singer Kambua has had her own fair share of disappointments in relationships. Several times the lady, who has been married for almost 6 years now with no kids, has come out to shun Kenyans attacking women in marriages that have not been blessed with a baby.

Recently she also touched on the issue of ladies battling with body image issues, sharing her boyfriend shamed her for being plump.

“Many years ago, I was dating his guy, I was living life on the chubbier side of life. i was a lot heavier than i am now. i was fresh from high school and i met this guy, we liked each other so we started dating,” kambua said.

She went to add that her man kept on body shaming her and didn’t bother to help her check her weight or habits.

“But this guy has a serious issue with my weight. And he was constantly showing me different exercises. He has a lot of advise to give me. It did not bother me too much. There was a time he said something like, ‘You finished a whole chapo by yourself? A whole chapo?’”

“That was like strike two and a half. Strike three was this one time we were going out for a late lunch we went to a fast food place so he bought one piece of chicken for me, one for himself and a pack of fries for us to share.

Be with someone who celebrates you

“So, please keep in mind that i’m already conscious about my weight, what i eat around this guy because of what he said about the chapo. We start eating, i’m eating very slowly nibbling on my chicken taking a fry here and there, then halfway through the meal he goes like ‘i don’t think you should eat any more fries.’

She continued, “He takes the rest of the pack and continued to eat. So i just swallowed a kiwaru, literally. As i’m eating my chicken, he goes like, are you going to finish that, k? And i handed my chicken over to him. Everything inside me, it was like a mixture of balancing my tears, feeling humiliated, hungry and angry.”

Adding, “The relationship, obviously did not last. What I learnt from it is, don’t be with someone who body shames you be with someone who celebrates who you are in every season of your life.

Kambua: Stop making people feel ‘less than’ because they’re not moms by choice or by circumstance

Gospel singer Kambua is not happy how Kenyans treat women without kids. Being one of them after staying for almost 6 years in marriage without a baby, Kambua wanted people to stop mocking such women.

“Motherhood is a calling. A great one. But it’s not the only one. Stop all this kosokoso of making people feel “less than” because they’re not moms, by choice or by circumstance.” Kambua tweeted.

Bullied online

This is not the first time she has talked about being childless. While speaking to Amina Abid on the trend, she shared that guys have been bullying her on the issue on social media.

“People will have an opinion over everything, over children. Today I saw a comment and deleted it because this guy commented on my Instagram and he says ‘When are you going to get pregnant, you’re getting old. I remember thinking, the reason why it angers me is that people don’t even know what your journey is like. They don’t know what you’re struggling with. They don’t know if you even want to have children. They don’t know if you can have children and there are so many people especially today who are struggling with infertility. It so unfortunate that we become such a culture of being so intrusive and putting people down. Shaming each other on things like that. I would wish that people would be sensitized. I have people who are close to me who might not be at the forefront like I am but who go through that every day.” She said.

Stopped being extravagant

The singer also narrated that has stopped spending like she used to. She blamed loneliness for her spendthrift habits.

“I would describe myself as a recovering spendthrift. I got into a crazy habit of shopping while in college because I lived away from home and it was very lonely.” she said.

09/04/2018. 4 years my Baba. 4! I still feel so so lost without you. My heart breaks every time I think of you. I miss your laugh, your random songs, your booming voice, your smile. I miss you my friend. My day 1. My daddy. I carry you in my heart always. Keep resting in peace ?” She captioned a photo on Instagram.
