We already knew! Kagwe Mungai and Sharon Mwangi confirm they are dating

Musician Kagwe Mungai and lifestyle content creator Sharon Mwangi have finally revealed their romance after months of keeping it a secret from the public.

Sharon has clarified, however, that the rumors did not necessarily force them to decide to publicly acknowledge their relationship.

She added that the majority of couples are reluctant to express their love outwardly out of concern for on-going judgment from their online in-laws and in the event that their relationship ends.

“We are both very intentional people, so (before making it public) we had had lots of conversations about social media because it’s a part of who we are, I, as a content creator, and him as an artiste. Social media can be very good but also very bad and especially opening up about ourselves on this thing that is very sacred, it was very scary. But then having had affirming conversations with each other, we felt we can’t hide our love because we are afraid of people,” – Sharon.

On stage during the performance of Mungai’s recently released album Rada, the handsome musician couldn’t help but gush about his new girlfriend and repeatedly praise her for being a part of his support system as he worked on his most current body of work.

“We should be able to love freely and loudly if you will. People should post their partners and love freely and even if you breakup, it’s fine. In life, people break up all the time. So for us we decided we are not going to let fair hold us back and here we are,”

In addition to being a diligent worker, Sharon listed the creator of the Oby Africa Agency as having care and consideration for his friends, family, and relationships with them.

Kagwe Mungai, the popular Kenyan comedian and musician, has opened up about his experiences with heartbreak and dating. In a recent interview on the “Best Kept Secrets” podcast, Mungai shared how a four-year relationship that ended in heartbreak left him feeling lost and insecure.

“I was head over heels,” Mungai said of the relationship. “It was the first time I had experienced love, being that kind of grandiose.”

However, the relationship eventually ended, and Mungai said that it took him five years to “get back to myself.”

“I wasn’t doing any self-work,” he said. “The only therapy I had was music.”

During this time, Mungai said that he went on a lot of dates, but that he was “kissing a lot of frogs.”

“I wasn’t ready for anything serious,” he said. “I was extremely scared of getting my heart broken, so I kept everything at arm’s length.”

Eventually, Mungai said that he started to heal from his heartbreak and began to open up to the possibility of dating again. However, he said that he has learned from his past experiences and is now more cautious about who he gets involved with.

“I’m not going to be a Mr. Nice Guy anymore,” he said. “I’m not going to put up with any BS.”

Kagwe Mungai Opens Up About Heartbreak And Giving Up On Dating

Hunky musician Kagwe Mungai has opened up about his experiences with heartbreak, which have led him to give up on dating for the time being.

In an interview on the “Best Kept Secrets” podcast, Mungai spoke about a four-year relationship that ended when he was 23 or 24 years old. He said that the relationship was “head over heels” at first, but that it eventually fizzled out.

“What happened is along the line of like going through the relationships and the ups and downs, I think I kind of lost myself, and I was desperate for the relationship to work, even though we both knew it had a shelf life,” Mungai said.

The breakup had a profound impact on Mungai, both personally and professionally. He said that he lost his confidence and that his music suffered.

“I just wasn’t ready for us to end, and that had a big impact on me and my music, on my confidence coz at some point I had imagined my entire life with this person,” Mungai said.

Mungai has since decided to take a break from dating. He said that he needs time to heal and to focus on his music.

“I’m not ready to date right now,” Mungai said. “I need to focus on myself and my music.”

CS Mutahi Kagwe’s nephew, Kagwe Mungai is not in the business of responding to every other DM on his phone but this time, it hurt him so bad, he spared no one.

The afro pop artist sifted through a number of harsh comments fans had to say about him and addressed each of them, one after the other. To his surprise, he didn’t think anyone would even bother to say anything mean about him but he had had enough of the meanness accorded to him lately.

Funny enough, the push and pull all started with a section calling him out for acting too bossy yet his music amounts to nothing. Then the famous KoT roped in his so presumed wealthy family background, before taking on his beard to the extent of even questioning what sexuality he prefers.

After KoT had done enough damage, Kagwe decided it was time to face his enemies, not with any weapon but with his foul mouth, addressing one comment after the other. Sadly though, he opted to prick a little deeper into his trolls’ skin with ‘YoMama’ insults.

Talented musician and producer Kagwe Mungai has released the video for his collabo with Sondeka hitmaker Naiboi titled Nakulike and we love it.

The jam is the second single off his album dubbed Spectrum which was launched at The Alchemist sometime in 2019 and if you ask me, it is his best project to this day.

If there is a word that that best describes this song then it is infectious, it the kind of songs that you just want to keep listening to while thinking about a particular person, maybe your crush, maybe your ex.

Nakulike is a Sheng word that means I like you and as you can already tell, this jam is a dedication to that one person that you can’t get enough of. We all have that one person that is giving us sleepless nights, don’t we?

It encourages you to slide into that DM and shoot your shot because maybe, just maybe the other person likes you as much as you like them. The keyword is maybe.

Both Kagwe Mungai and Naiboi really came through on this track. To be honest, we were not expecting anything less and they both aced it. While the former stood out because of his voice, the latter had some dope wordplay.

Notably this track also has an impeccable beat. It’s so damn catchy. However, this does not come as a surprise seeing as it was produced by Kagwe himself. He did a good job ladies and gentlemen.

The other thing that I loved about this joint is the video. It is a unique concept and it stars the one and only Michelle Ntalami who drops her fire moves on the dance floor. If I was you, I’d skip to 2:35 right now. You’re welcome.

Mimi Mars enlists Kagwe Mungai in new single dubbed ‘One Night’ (Video)

Tanzanian songstress Marianne Mdee, popularly known as Mimi Mars, has released a new track with Kenya’s Kagwe Mungai and it’s getting a lot of love from their fans.

The jam dubbed One Night is about a lass who has fallen head over heels for a certain guy. As such, she is asking him to spend a single night with her so that she can show him what she really means. Parental guidance is advised.

I really love this jam. I have been listening to it on repeat since it was released a few days ago and I’m yet to get bored with it and that can only mean that it’s really dope.

As you listen to One Night, you can’t help but appreciate Mimi Mars glorious voice. Listening to her just puts you in a good mood even if you were having the worst day.

In the same breath, I must say that I’m not quite sure about her lyrical prowess because I kind of felt like she was too repetitive in this jam but then again that’s just me.

As expected, Kagwe Mungai also did  good job. He also has a melodious and to add to that, it blends so well with that of Mimi Mars. Put simply, they complement each other.

Notably, the beat on this track is dope. However, this does not come as a surprise seeing as it was produced by Kagwe Mungai himself. We have to give it to him for doing such a good job.

I was amazed by the video. I absolutely love it. Although the execution looks simple, it paints a visual picture of what the song is about and that’s the whole point, isn’t it?

Musician-cum-producer Kagwe Mungai has released the audio for Good Times, the first song off his album dubbed Spectrum.

As the title suggests, this is a celebratory song that talks about a period of prosperity and happiness. Put simply, this jam assures you that things will be fine even if you are facing hard times at the moment.

To be honest, this is such a beautiful composition. It’s the kind of songs that you listen to over and over because you want the message to hits home.

To add to that, Kagwe’s voice is absolutely awesome, especially when he varies it from tenor to a deep baritone. I am very sure many ladies can’t get enough of him or rather his voice.

The beat for this song is also on point. It makes you want to hit the club and have a good time the first time you listen to it and that’s not a bad thing. Props to the producer!

Generally, this song is totally dope. Actually, it’s my third favourite song in the album after Nakulike featuring Naiboi and Pressure which he did with talented jazz trumpeter Owuor Arunga.

Musician-cum-producer Kagwe Mungai has released the audio for his collabo with jazz trumpeter Owuor Arunga.

The song dubbed Pressure is the sixth single off his album titled Spectrum which was launched at The Alchemist in May this year.

As the title suggests, this song talks about the small things, either small or big, that cause people stress. The message is that you should not worry yourself to death.

In this jam, Kagwe Mungai proves his lyrical prowess and in my opinion he totally nailed it. Although the message is simple, it has been packaged well. Chances are you’ll feel less burdened after listening to this song.

There’s a part he says, “Tangazeni mbinguni tunaenda na madeni*2 juu binadami si kitu (si kitu) na ulimwengu si wetu (si wetu) na duniani si kwetu (si kwetu) pesa nayo si kitu (si kitu), pressure*3 ya nini?”

As expected, Owuor Arunga killed it on the jazz trumpet. The instruments adds a lot of flavour to this song and you can’t help but hit the replay button a couple of times.

In conclusion, this song is really dope. Actually, it’s my second favourite song from Spectrum after his collabo with Naiboi titled Nakulike.

The other thing that struck me is the nice instrumental that was playing in the background. I couldn’t get enough of it.
